Rooftop 120 Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointed, what kind of restaurant serves pasta but has no bread? I had Parmesan crusted chicken, crusted being the operative word, very well done and dry. Husband had steak tips penne vodka with bacon......all you could taste was bacon...have another Groupon to use will be ordering a appetizer and hamburger.
The place looked great! The service was excellent and the food was pretty good, though a couple of unique sauces for their main dishes would be great, apps were excellent and the crab meat stuffed sole had a lot of crab meat A+ for that! The only real problem are the drinks.. great selection but not great tasting... coconut margaritas tasted like lemonade, Mojitos we not that good either, and a couple of other drinks were not that good, for $9 - $15 I expect a pretty darn good drink.. 3 stars because drinks are essential when I'm out with the lady..
We went to Rooftop120 for New Year’s Eve. To be honest we waited until the last minute to make a reservation so it was our last resort. We didn’t know anything about it going into it but boy were we surprised! Everything was PHENOMENAL. The drinks were amazing, the menu had so many good options and the food itself was delicious. We did a relatively early dinner for New Years at 6:45 and we were basically the only ones there. When we left around 9 it was really starting to pick up. Our waitress was awesome and had a lot of great recommendations. Definitely will be going back!
Food recommendations: Buffalo Chicken Egg rolls, Crab Rangoon Dip, Steak Tip Penne alla Vodka, Prime Rib
We had a very informal after work gathering and it was very pleasant to sit outside on a cool, fall night sitting by the fireplace. Our service was great as was the food and drinks we had. Overall it was worth the drive to Glastonbury to enjoy a few hours will colleagues after work.
It was my 27th birthday, and I did not receive a birthday dessert plate, as I was promised. The kitchen closed at 10:30 p.m. and the bar closed at 11:30 p.m., although the website shows that closing hours are 12:30 a.m., on Thursdays. When I called to confirm the hours, I was also told the kitchen would stop serving food at 11 PM; so half of my guests were unable to attend or eat.
Beautiful evening to fine on the rooftop during happy hour. You can go wrong with General Tso's ribs and the hummus. The Hawaiian flat was a favorite of the Mrs. I'm not a fan of pineapples in my pizza. The sesame chicken tenders were not dry which is really hard to do.
Although the ambience was fantastic, unfortunately the food we ordered was awful. We ordered the hot lobster roll, granted it is somewhat not the season for lobster anymore it being late September, the lobster meat was bone dry, tough, and way way way over cooked. If I am going to spend $23 on a lobster roll, the meat should be fresh. This was the opposite
Our server Scott was amazing! Although we had a group of 8, he was attentive, prompt, engaged and entertaining. Even when the restaurant started getting busier - he didn't miss a beat. The food came out quickly and accurately. We all had a great time - will definitely be back!
The food was absolutely fabulous also so was the server. However, the drinks were way too sweet all the way around. With the prices, you should be a little more generous and actually put some alcohol in the drinks. We tried SEVERAL drinks that were pure juice. And the reason we left, the dj. The music was absolutely terrible. Unfortunately he drinks and music is what made the experience pretty lousy.
Had a fun time at this place. The food and drinks were great. The service was great. The location was chill laid back and fun. I've been many times on Saturday's but, this time I went on Sunday and it was so much better. It wasn't as packed and it was perfect for a large group.
We all had a good time. My concerns are the trying to squeeze 8 guys into a area supposedly to for 7-9 "comfortably" did not work. The other is our waitress did two things that made the experience less enjoyable. She didn't separate our bill properly and we had to figure our bills out long hand. The other was some of had cash and other had cards. We have her the cash are "part" of tip. And the other with cards left tips on our cards. She had made a comment to one of our party "what did she do wrong ... cause she got a low tip". Not professional. Having the been in and out of the restaurant business half my life, this would not be acceptable with my last employers.
Unfortunately it was raining while we were there so all of the patio doors were closed. This made the bar area extremely loud. We were even unable to hear our server over the crowd and live music. If we were able to sit outside I think we would have enjoyed t better because we would have been able to hear one another.
The glasses on the table upon arrival has lipstick on then before the water was placed in them. The table was very wobbly. The waitress stopped our socializing to assist her with finding which side if the table was more wobbly. The drinks from the bar the waitress said we needed to order 3 before being able to taste the alcohol. When placing my meal order the waitress said i couldnt replace the asparagus with an alternate vegetable. We were seated outside while it was raining...who sits in the rain dressed up. So we changed tables again o ly to make a music request and the DJ said he has to play the managers choices first before the customers. Overall, neither my guests or I will return and we will not recommend anyone to your establishment.
