It was an amazing evening. The Salmon and Scallops were phenominal. They also accommodated me with my crutches so that we had a table that I could put them aside
We enjoyed our food and they were able to omit goat cheese for me . Nice to get what you want
our server was very helpful and pleasant
Excellent restaurant!!!! My only complaint would be that the wait staff was so efficient and attentive and my order came out so fast that I almost felt rushed. The food was MARVELOUS!!! I would come here to eat even if I didn’t have show tickets!
This was an awful lot of money for a buffet where you could not get rare roast beef, hot food, or jam with your biscuits and croisant. One can get much of the same good in the cafe at a lower price with rare roast beef.
Everything was wonderful but the price ($48) was far too high for a brunch.
Very friendly and professional staff. Clean. Food and desserts were very delicious. Beautiful view. Expensive but worth treating yourself from time to time.
Within 20 minutes were served out first two courses. No sooner that our forks went down from our first course, the plat s were whisked away and the second course was served.
It was as though were Ina fast food restaurant.
In no was as theexperience worth the prices.
We sensed our veal chops had been cooked in advance and were placed under heat lamps.
We chose this restaurant as we were going to see a show at The Kennedy Center for my birthday. It is very expensive as one would expect for a restaurant in this location. We had the cheese and charcuterie board, with a selection of three items. It was too much of each item, we would have preferred a selection of 6 things with less of each one. The Ceasar salad was skimpy, with not a lot of dressing. We all enjoyed our entrees. The service was attentive, however the waiter did not bring our second glass of wine until we were half way through with our entrees, which we found surprising and annoying at a restaurant of this caliber.
Food was outstanding. We will be back!
Our waiter was fantastic - patient and prompt, and put up with 2 single women taking their time! Loved the evening.
Perfect for dinner before theatre at Kennedy Center. Food was good. Service good. Great views.
We sat at the table for no less than 15-20min without being approached by any wait staff. We had to flag down any random passing server to get water, bread, to order. The food was ok nothing special. But the amount of the bill would indicate the quality of the food and experience was much higher than it actually was. Not a good value at all. And not a good experience.
A lovely pre-theater dinner for a special night. The food was delicious (I had the steak which was perfect), our waitstaff was very attentive and helpful.
It is expensive but well worth it for a special night out.
The food was good but nothing very unusual. Wine list was not good value, however if you are going to a performance at the Kennedy Center, this is a stress free choice.
Good restaurant if you are in the Kennedy Center to see a show but I would not consider it a destination in and of itself.
I and two friends gathered for before performance dinner. Our server, Theo, was very attentive and helpful. We were asked what time our performance began to be sure our service was completed with time to walk to the venue. First experience at Roof Terrace and very enjoyable.
We were attending the ballet at The Kennedy Center and decided to try the Roof Terrace restaurant. A large very nicely lit space with phenomenal views along the Potomac River. A very good selection of offerings with a delightful selection of soups and salads; we had the creme of broccoli (excellent) and the spring greens salad with roasted Dukkah to start and the filet (with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach plus the encrusted salmon, both excellently done a plated). We shared the homemade vanilla ice cream (creamy, not too sweet and refreshing). Pricing is fair for the venue and Washington DC better cuisine. Recommend trying the place at least once.
The full bar is great - as is the bartender. Must have been understaffed on this Valentine's Day evening; service was much less attentive than the Sunday evenings that we usually attend. Disappointed there was no special menu for Valentines Day. Food was well plated and hot, but, again, not quite up to the standard we get on Sunday evenings. Perhaps the crowd was unexpected. Always the best choice at the Kennedy Center - but since your other option is a cafeteria, that isn't a very high bar. Very appreciative to our table assistant (the one who fills water and brings the rolls) - he really tried to step in when the waiter wasn't there. THAT is evidence of good training and team work.
Had dinner prior to Kennedy Center performance on Valentine's Day. Food was delicious; my entree of scallops was a bit modest in size but my spouse had a well-portioned veal chop. Efficient service, especially considering most diners had performances to make.
The caesar salad was the highlight of the meal. The main courses were a disappointment. The rockfish had bones. We selected this restaurant before going to the theater which was super convenient.
