I was very disappointed with our breakfast! Service and ambiance was ok.
Delicious food My favorite patio
Beautiful day, good food, lovely service! What else could I need or want?
The Roof Garden offers a magical destination at night.
The ambiance,food,service is consistently excellent.
Very expensive. Tacos and 2 drinks were $90.
Service was a little slow, but annoying movement of umbrellas. For about 20 minutes umbrellas were moved from table to table over and over again. It was annoying and interrupted the flow of my business meeting. Also, one of my guests their
steak was overcooked. Other than that, it was lovely.
Guacamole was pretty good. Ahi tuna tartare was good. Nothing exceptional, but not bad. Presentation was lacking. Fish tacos were awful, fish burned beyond recognition. Nothing authentic or interesting about the topping or salsa You can much better ones from a taco truck. The worst was the Yucca Tots. They were mushy not crunchy.
Service was good
I know it’s outdoors but tables are pretty close together.
Alex, server was terrific...table and ambience excellent...a lot of fun and good enough food. They were out of wine I wanted and it took quite a while becasue they ahve to go down stairs to fid wines...this I bad news...it is time-consuming.
The food was just okay, nothing exciting. The service was fine. The seating was just okay, too, it made it a little hard to hear everything said at the table.
They sat me down. I waited 20 -25 mins before someone acknowledged me. It was not terribly busy. I had to flag someone down. Other guest who arrived after me got their meals waay before me. No on really checked in on me neither. Made me feel like I wasn't welcomed.
Beautiful & classy but nothin special
Don’t like the New Mexican menu. They were accommodating to give us other food from the old menu
The menu needs more items on it and more salads and healthy foods. I ordered salmon medium rare and it was well done. The restaurant was pretty empty but our service was poor, which is unusual for the Roof Garden. Unfortunately, I am going to have to start looking for a different place to have my frequent outdoor meals in Beverly Hills. I used to love this place and came at least once a week or more for the past 2 years.
Menu is only a fraction of what it used to be
It didn’t appear the restaurant was short staffed, so I’m not clear why the service was so poor. We waited 15 mins before we were even asked for drinks and that set the tone for rest of the meal. (And it was only 15 mins wait because we went to front desk and asked for someone. And the venue isn’t overly large.). Food was okay.
The Roof Garden has always been a favorite place for lunch but my last experience was extremely disappointing. I took two friends to celebrate birthdays and after we were seated it took more than 15 minutes before they even brought us water and that was at our prompting. After we ordered drinks it took another ten minutes. We didn't get break without asking and then I was charged for my lunch and someone else's which I learned after leaving the restaurant. It was extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone to try and correct the problem. Not a very good day.
They changed their menu and had a limited amount of salads to choose from. $10.00 for a small latte was a little much. No refills. Another latte was also $10. The food was mediocre for the price. Will not be going back.
Great place for a business lunch or a friend visit.
Lunch was a very nice experience at the rooftop; in fact, it was better than another local hotel.
Can always count on The Peninsula to deliver excellent food, service and atmosphere.
Nice atmospheric here, great food, great service.
I eat at the Peninsula often and last night all we wanted was completely casual food. The hamburger and fries was absolutely great.
Lovely place and service
Loved it will be returning soon
Wonderful experience. Always a great place to be and stay.
We were celebrating my birthday which I noted on the reservation. I was surprised that no mention was made of this. I felt that the service was not up to par. The food was only okay. BUT the setting and ambiance was fabulous and that makes up for the negatives. Thank you for letting me celebrate my 83rd birthday. Jane Morgen
Bad service, forgot food twice and charged extra plate!
So nice to be outside on the rooftop! They had a new menu with a very specific theme and not much variety but they offered us an alternative menu that had a lot of good options. We all enjoyed our meals (and great warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert!).
As long as Derrick is in the house I am certain I’ll be taken care of properly!
Lovely service. The food was delicious. We look forward to coming back.
We were celebrating my daughter’s 23rd bday, so I decided to try this place. I originally wanted to try the French restaurant, but they were closed. So, we settled for the Roof Garden thinking it would be nice to eat outdoors with a view of Beverly Hills. However, we should’ve turned around and left. There was a group of three in a near by table using bad language and yelling the whole time we were there. So much for a quiet evening in an elegant place. The ambiance was ruined by those rude vulgar people. I didn’t want our evening to be ruined, so I decided to stay and I to order drinks. My mojito was sour. The server was kind enough to bring me some sweetener. My daughter did not like her drink either. I had a grilled shrimp salad. The shrimp were very good. HOWEVER, the salad was drenched with salt! It was so salty, I had to drink about two gallons of water to get it out of my system. It was terrible! I have dined in many places, both humble and luxurious, including the Montage, Langham and several Michelin star restaurants. The Roof Garden was the worst meal I have ever had in my entire life! The food was ok. Nothing special—and over priced! I don’t mind paying top dollar, but the food needs to merit it. I am VERY disappointed. I hope someone at the Peninsula reads this and offers me a rain check or some kind of reimbursement. That’s the least they can do. Thank you!
As always, Derrick makes us feel right at home.
Thank you Derrick!
Beautiful environment.great food. Attentive and beautiful service.
Change of menu so disappointing! Would not return with this menu in place! Why change something that’s not broke!
The Roof Garden is so lovely and classy.
Although I sent my carne asada tacos back.
The beef was too tough.
I got the burger instead.
Our appetizer tuna tartar was good but our salad and entrees were awful. Very disappointed with the quality of the food.
It was lovely . Food very good, expensive but it is a high end hotel. Roof top is lovely. Not a great menus
For two , one non alcoholic drink, one dessert, one salad, one taco plate $100. Before tip
Just wasn’t as good as I hoped. Waiter got the order wrong. Didn’t offer to fix it until I asked. I generally live it there. It rushing back to the roof.
