Ron's Steakhouse - Arizona Charlie's Decatur Ratings and Reviews
Great service. Ample bread basket with variety of butters. Varied menu, choices for every taste. Food is prepared to your tastes. Steaks cut like butter and flavor is fantastic. Side dishes are big and can be shared with others. The desert was too large for one person, Only problem we encountered was the temperature of the room. It was very chilly. They must have forgotten to change the temperature setting with the cooler weather.
Took my grandma here for her 83rd birthday. 50+ years & she's never been. I had never eaten here either. 5 stars doesn't praise this restaurant enough. We both had the 14oz prime rib dinner; easily the best meal I have ever had. Their complementary bread basket & topping selections are superb too! Our server, Patricia, was brilliant & amazing. She sang, very softly, to my grandma & the birthdau ice cream was a larger dish than many places do for their birthday desserts. Definitely will be going back again, probably around Christmas, my birthday, & other special occasions.
First time at Ron's and we completely loved it! The service was great, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing for a Saturday evening. I would love to see a bit more variety of steak options (felt a bit limited in having to choose HUGE steaks lol nothing bad with that but it was too much for me to finish). Overall we enjoyed our dinner and can't wait to go back again. Thank you! 😊
As a regular visitor to this restaurant we were disappointed to find that their menu has changed and they have eliminated some of our favorites:
Oso Bucca, Crab Meat Cocktail, Veal and Escargot...some of our main reasons for going there.
Don't get me wrong...the food was good...it was just that we couldn't order what we wanted.
Always an amazing dining experience. Enjoyed the salmon sliders, salad, French onion soup and lobster. The dinner specials of prime rib, pork chops, and steak are beyond expectation. From the moment you enter, your presence is acknowledged and you receive amazing service until you exit.
The food was delicious as always. Service was a little slow as far as our drinks went. Food was served hot and in a timely manner. I had the prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans for only 20 dollars. Great price and even had leftovers to take home.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. It is a moderately sized Steakhouse that has a cozy, quiet and professional atmosphere and it is not over priced.
The food is always good and I especially recommend the Caesar Salad, Crab Meat Cocktail, Ribeye Steak and for dessert, the Cheesecake.
When I was there this past week I felt that they were a bit understaffed and so the service was a bit slower than usual, however, this will not keep me from going back.
The steaks are excellent, totally excellent. However, food is delivered by carts with squeaky wheels which takes away from really enjoying the food and conversation with family. I don't believe you should upcharge the food especially when prices are listed at a lower price point on the menu, and tell guests that if you have a players card you'll receive a discount on the food. Overall food was good, but I don't believe I'll return.
Ron's is our go to place for a delicious meal, presented beautifully and served in style without breaking our budget. We love the three course special menus and they change often so there is always something new to try. It is quiet and romantic and is a great place to celebrate any special occasion. The staff is friendly and dinner is never rushed. The wine list seems to offer something for everyone without being snooty. It is truly a hidden gem hidden in Arizona Charlies , Decatur.
I have dined here several times and it was always an exceptional experience, until now. We were seated early which was wonderful but the experience went down hill from there. After our oder , we waited almost an hour before I had to ask the hostess why our food was taking so long, that people who were seated after us had already been served. Our waiter NEVER checked on us or communicated anything to us, we only saw the bus person. By this time my beverage glass was empty and I had to ask for a refill. Our food finally showed up and my pork chop was almost cold. They took it back to warm it up. The very nice hostess comped my meal for me which was very nice, however when the waiter came to give us our check we inquired about the desert that comes with my meal and his reaponse was "That meal was free so if you wanted desert you will have to pay extra." My thought was, if they comped my meal then why wasn't the entire meal comped, plus, if nothing else, giving me a piece of cake as a customer service act would have been great. However, it did not happen that way. I have been going to Arizona Charlies for many many years. I currently live quite far away with the Cannery abouy 1/4 mile away, but yet when I want to play I drive to your establishment. Being treated like this makes me think twice. I know that I am only one person and I'm sure you won't miss me if I don't come back, but if these things continue to happen it probably wouldn't be a good thing. I do want to say that both hostesses and the bus person were wonderful, but the waiter was horrible, plus he never did apologize or even address the situation with us.
We were surprisingly pleased with the food and service. The casino that Ron's is in is very very smoky and old, so to be in Ron's smell free and with good food and service was great. The side dishes were reasonably priced and the oysters were large and perfect. We would definitely go back.
This place is such a great value! Steaks and service comparable to the Strip, but at half the cost! It's slightly off the beaten path, but worth the drive. It kind of reminded me of an old school supper club, but the menu and decor were very modern. You can tell it is a locals hangout, and that they cater to their regulars and casino customers-per example, if you join the casino players club, you'll get some really awesome menu deals. The service was very professional, the food presentation surpassed my expectations. I don't think I could go to Vegas and pass this place up again!
For the price of Maggianos or T-bones - Rons fails in comparison.
Took the family there on friday night. The steak was good quality and cooked perfectly. Everything else suffered. We still joke about the crem brûlée be crembrello .... crem brûlée with the consistency of jello !
Waiter never once checked on us after the food was delivered ... except to bring the check. Better choices out there for the price !
We went there for dinner because I had a $50 voucher. The food was okay, I had the filet mignon and it was good. My husband had the prime rib and it was good. We shared the baked potato and it was not that good, rather tough. I asked for the sauteed spinach, easy on the garlic and it was heavy on the garlic. I could not eat the spinach and asked the waiter to remove it from our bill and he did. The service was slow. The staff was nice but they were quite slow at serving our meal to us and other items we asked for. It was not very busy there at all either, it was a sunday evening.
I ordered filet min well done butterfy the steat came back medium rare, my wife ordered filet min medium well it came back rare, the server took both of them back came back in a very short period of time and I told my wife the chef didn't do any thing in that short period of time. the meat came back the very same way. . I asked the server is the chef was new and or dosnt speak ENGLISH. he told me he was from the other restaurant filling in . we been going their quite a lot since it opened I had a feeling something was wrong and it was. yes we will go back next month if this happens again we are done going their very unprofessional
