They where out of high chairs even though we called ahead of time. I say my daughter down to try to calm her and they came and snatched the high chair. When I requested it back they said no because I wasn’t using it the entire time.

Food is amazing. The waiter was just extremely rude.

Everything was exceptional. Upon arriving to the restaurant our table was ready for a private party. The servers were very attentive, and the cooks were just wonderful. Food was good for the price. They even cut the birthday cake I brought for my mom and served it to us after dinner. I would definitely recommend dining here again.

My husband and I eat here at least once a year. Normally it is a special occasion. It can be a little pricy if you have drinks.

The restaurant was very busy the night we were there. We had to wait longer than usual for our food. Our waitress was superb though and apologized for how long it was taking. She gave us an appetizer to tie us over. Also, their prices have gone up since last we were there (December). However, it seems like all restaurants in Chicago are increasing their prices.

There was a service fee that's wasn't told to me as my card was charged 15 dollars more than the total. The food wasn't worth the price at all. I would never go to this place again

seemed to be short on cooks for a Friday night. Waited a long time for chef after being seated. Prices seem to go up each time we visit. Getting to the prohibitive level.

This was a terrible experience. I went with our kids and the chef did not do any tricks at all. The steak and filet were low quality . Our dinner for two adults and two children was around 150.00 and we had no alcoholic drinks. Value was poor!!!

Food was just ok, I’ve had much better! Fried beef rice just wasn’t up to part! The money spent don’t match the meal!

My only complaint would be the table we were sat at. I brought two 13 y.o. to dinner and we were seated with 4 obviously inebriated diners.

We come from Omaha....this was our 4th time. We had discovered Ron's 10-15 year ago.

Our Chef actually remembered us from last spring. ...that was almost as shocking as the price....we chalked the price up to a special occasion...we must have forgotten the price because we keep coming back!

I live in Michigan. We have a similar restaurant here called shoguns. The prices r comparable to Ron’s but Shogun’s is worth the cash. Ron’s u don’t get nearly enough food. The sushi was to die for though. But as for the main course...not worth the money to me and the 5 ppl we were with. The chef was not interactive with us at all. Actually looked like he hated his job. The best part, aside from the sushi, was the fact that it’s individual hibachi grills for each table.

The restaurant has gone downhill over the years. Our cook did not do anything entertaining. No flames, no flipping or clanging as we watched other tables be entertained. The food was ok. We were celebrating a birthday and that was listed in our rsvp and still no entertaining cooking.

I went here for my friends birthday. Just the two of us. It was nice because we didn’t get sat with any other folks. Cold sake is amazing here. And the food was great. Our server was a bit awkward but nice. You can tell she was new. Would keep up this tradition.

Our dinner had no showmanship. There was literally no showmanship. He came to the table, cooked our food and that was it. I'm ok paying the inflated prices for food, because you are also paying for a "show." Service was perfunctory and we definitely we felt rushed.

very expensive for the amount of food you get. The beef fried rice was made with ground beef (unimpressed) he over compensate with tons of fried vegetables.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The drinks, lobster, shrimp and veggies are always delicious. And I love the egg yoke sauce. No other Hibiachi restaurant can touch their egg yoke sauce. Great place...

Food overall was delicious and the person who cooked our food was so friendly and professional however the person who took my mother in law food order was a disrespectful. It seem like he didn’t want to be there, he was in a rush in taking our order, snatch the menu.

Having been regulars for a number of years, we used to love the chefs and the staff. But over the last year in particular, the establishment has less of an authentic feel with the change in staff, chefs, and music. Our last visit this week may possibly be just that: the last visit. I made an early reservation so we could go home early, but instead we had to wait for a party of 5 who took forever to order and did so with many conditions. The waiter was slow and didn't do much to speed things along knowing we had waited quite a bit of time for the others to be seated and settled. Because of the food restrictions of the other party, our food tasted bland. In total we spend at least 2 hours there and felt disappointed exiting. I used to love coming to Ron's, now I don't see myself returning.

This was my first visit to this place. I had read the reviews prior to going. Read some good reviews and some bad. So I went in with an open mind. I was prepared to pay for an expensive dinner. The food was great. Lots of food btw. What I enjoyed the most was the experience . Having the chef cook the food in front of you was pretty cool. The location is great since after dinner we walked around down town. The only downside was parking. We went on a Saturday night and ended up paying $35 for parking in a garage. BUT like I mentioned before , I was prepared. I made a reservation earlier in the day and arrived about 5 min. Before. We were promptly seated before I could order anything at the bar. Will be going back for sure.

Grill did not work when we sat down, so food took a while. Cook had to be asked to provide a little entertainment. There was no apology for wait nor discount offered for poor service. Cook barely interacted. Very poor representation of what I know this restaurant can provide to it’s customers.

The food was really good however my issue was is that myself and my fiance arrived at 8:32 we had reservations for 8:30 we were not seated until 9:55 p.m. which made us miss our other reservations that we had later in the evening. Had I not said anything to the hostess I believe we would have been sitting in the bar area past 9:55. I suggest in the future that they do a better job of accommodating large crowds especially on occasions like Valentine's Day. They had terrible service as far as the waitress goals she was rude condescending and then seem like she wanted to be there at the end of the night we ask for several to go boxes and never received them had to ask another gentleman who was waiting to table for him she also gave us plastic bags and told us that they didn't have any additional Ron of Japan bags however, when we spoke to the other waiter he brought us out several Ron of Japan bags. Additionally, my Fork still had rice in it. The chef was amazing, maybe in the future we'll try the restaurant again.

We stopped here because 1) it is across the street from the hotel we were staying at and 2) my husband had been there with his parents way-back-when. The food was greasy in general, although the cook was nice and capable. The 'egg sauce' thing that seems to be special to the restaurant is either something you will like (like our table mates) or not (us). It's odd, and I don't even want to know what it is. Place was clean. You could watch a sport game if you wanted. Bottom line: Not necessary to return.
