Romeo -n- Juliette's Caffe Ratings and Reviews
This is a charming cozy spot with wonderful authentic Italian food. The staff is extraordinarily attentive and friendly and can guide you to just the right wine and appetizer to compliment your meal. My one suggestion: have candles or small lamps on the tables and turn off the overhead lights which make the room to bright and less intimate.
The best comment a restaurant could receive is a clean plate from the customer - all four of us ate every bite (salmon, snapper, vegetarian dish, bolognese)! Great wine and garlic bread too! We topped off dessert with a delicious Tartufo. The server was engaging and fun. We've been guests a number of times before with different family and friends and the experiences have been consistently positive.
This restaurant is a hidden Jewel. It is tucked into an unsuspecting area however once you enter it is lovely and very charming. The food is as fresh and wonderful as it is creatively prepared. The service was outstanding in every way. Can’t wait to go back. Can’t wait to take guests there.
Excellent Italian food. This restaurant is tucked into a Industrial area where you would not expect to find fine dining. A small storefront with only about 10 tables, but they take reservations. Ambiance is not exceptional, but the food that we had was excellent. We started with two meatballs and garlic bread for appetizers, and both were excellent. Terrific simple red sauce on the very tender and flavorful meatballs. The garlic bread was also excellent with good bread, olive oil , garlic and herbs. I had the veal stuffed with cheese and with a marsala sauce. Great veal, melt in your mouth tender. My companion had chicken piccata, which was nice and lemony with capers and a nice pan suace. We chose spaghetti for a side just to get some more of that tasty red sauce that was on the meatballs. Service was excellent. This was our first time there, and we will definitely return.
Great cooking there. Place is dark and could use some electric candles on the tables in the evening. This is an inexpensive thing to do that would enhance their atmosphere exponentially. I wonder why they don't see it. The darkness doesn't seem on purpose because it's just a casual cutesy local place. Alternatively they could put their lighting on a dimmer and increase wattage. Bet they won't do any of this. I'd still go back though because the food is really good; just some constructive comments to make the place better.
My Brother told me about it after dining there for his first time.
He said " make your resv now for when you come down, it's Great "
He wasn't wrong. I really hate to say how good it is, because I'll never get a resv if everyone knows about it.
Maybe a bigger place?
Was visiting the area. Was told about this restaurant was told it was wonderful marvelous turns out it was wonderful marvelous would go back in a minute. The authenticity of the Italian food transported my guest back to meals prepared by her long dead grandmother. A delightful and tasty evening.
This is the third (and last) time that my wife and I visited this restaurant. This was the most disappointing of all visits. I know it's a small restaurant, but it's unconformable how quickly the staff tries to turn a table over. And, the food isn't that good considering all of the Italian options available in the area. Should've known not go because it was so easy to get a table. On top of the mediocre food and rapid fire service, they presented me with a bill for 2 bottles of wine that we didn't order. They fixed the mistake, but the fact they overlooked a $130 difference and still handed me the bill is unsettling, at the least.
Food was very good and prices reasonable I was very disappointed that we had to wait 35 minutes for our table. Not only did we have to wait, but we were told that we were late and therefore they gave our table away we arrived 4 only minutes after our reservation time. They didn't seem apologetic at all and did nothing to make up for the wait. I'd be wary of going back again.
What a wonderful experience. We live in the area and never had an opportunity to go to this great restaurant. I had cherry stone clams on the half shell with linguine and white clam sauce. Probably the best I had since having it up north. I also opted for the upgrade to homemade pasta. Wow an experience I would never forget. I. Highly recommend reservations there are only 11 tables in the restaurant.
Have been eating here for a few years and always look forward to coming back. Tucked away and out of sight, it's worth the drive for a wide variety of Italian specials and standard favorites.
No matter what you order you will not be disappointed.
The garlic bread is worth the calories!!!
ALWAYS YUMMY !
