We spend the day preparing delicious, one-of-a-kind meals. Our pasta is hand made daily, and our ingredients are source locally and are always fresh!
Italy is known for more than just the cuisine, which is why Roma also offers the fine Italian wines to compliment the food. Along with regular wine selections, a Reserve List is available for those wine enthusiasts with a taste for something special.
The food and the service were perfect
We are becoming regulars at this wonderful restaurant. This time I had the duck and it was on a par with the best duck I ever had, in a high-end restaurant in Paris many years ago. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the gnocchi. We will be back again very soon!
Our waiter was great. Food was excellent. We had a mix of stake, pasta and veggies. It was all very good. Pasta is hand made and it seems to taste better !!!
The shrimp, scallops fettuccini was very good. However, the gnocchi was undercooked. Other than that, it was pretty good.
Excellent authentic Italian cuisine.
Service was excellent. Our server was polite, professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the menu, preparation, and general info about the restaurant and chef/owner. Food was delicious. We all ordered something different, appetizers, salads, desserts. It was all amazing. Can't wait to eat here again. A little pricey if you're on a budget but well worth it.
Fav restaurant in Carmel. Absolutely love Roma. Delicious food every time. The chef Luchio is fabulous! Max provides phenomenal service and has been there as long as we’ve been going. Highly highly recommend
Expecting a very good meal from the reviews, but that was not our experience. The Tortino Al Salmone appetizer was quite tasty. The Ceaser salad had very little parmasan, and the dressing was tasteless. The Pappardelle di Mare Al Limone was almost too salty too eat, and I love salt! I ate the shrimp and scallops and left most of the pasta. The Fettuccine Bolognese was ok, but certainly nothing special. We didn't even bother trying dessert after the disappointing first courses. Perhaps we hit them on an off night for the chef, but we won't be returning.
Roma is probably our favorite restaurant, and this was the best meal we've ever had there. The lamb chops were tender and perfect, and the duck was even more succulent than I had hoped.
Great place for Italian food in Carmel. Nightly 'specials' are always a good bet. If possible, ask for Paula---she'll make you feel right at home.
Delicious as usual!
After our 4th visit to Roma Ristorante, it continues to be our favorite restaurant in the Indianapolis area. Chef Romani is a fabulous cook and his menu offerings are wide-ranging. His extended family helps run the restaurant and they create a welcoming and truly enjoyable ambience. Don't miss this satisfying experience!
The restaurant is located in a back corner of an old strip mall. Don't be fooled by the location of this gem. The food is amazing, authentic Italian.
The food was not as good as in the past. The Caesar salad was too wet, used iceberg lettuce rather than romaine and had little flavor. The lamb chops were good and cooked properly. The pasta dish was also good but the new presentation is unappealing. Service was very good and attentive
Service was average at best. Felt rushed. The waitress made is felt as if we were bothering her. She didn’t seem to enjoy her job while another male waiter was really explaining in detail the best selections one table over. The plum wrapped in bacon w Gorgonzola sauce was to die for, but my $40 medium rare steak was medium/medium well at best. Perhaps it was my mistake to expect correct temperatures at an Italian restaurant specializing in homemade pasta. $140 bill - think we will go somewhere else next time. We really like giving our money to local restaurants - especially those in Brainard’s targets.
What an awful meal we had this past Saturday, the scallops I ordered were almost raw and tasted like they had been warmed up in the microwave. The pasta dish my husband had was so overcooked the pasta was all sticking together like a big lump. If it were not for being with friends we would have sent the whole lot back. One of the worst meals I have had in years! Will not be back!
One of Carmel's best treasure's! One of the few authentic Italian dining opportunities in the area.
Despite others reviews we found the food horrible, MANY better options.
In town for the weekend. Saw this on open table and took a chance. This chef has a special touch. Everything was yummy. We will be back!
We actually invited a couple who are good friends to join us and they loved the unique presentation of the dishes they ordered compared to the Italian restaurant they have eaten at a few times since moving here late last year. The waitress, Karen, was excellent, and explained each dish she was asked about in detail and how Roma's fare differs from the restaurant our friends told her they last visited, with us, in fact. So it was a new experience for them, but my wife and I have come here several times and return because we love the cozy atmosphere, the outstanding service, and the delicious food.
Excellent, fast service - it was a little over an hour till we needed to leave for a show and without rushing us or our food we had time to share one additional glass of wine! Great quality and service! Well worth considering for your next nite out!
Food was delicious and could tell it was homemade. The server was so knowledgeable and made the experience so wonderful. The table felt private from the rest of the restaurant and it was so cute and quaint. Wine was delicious. Definitely would suggest for date night!
Service was great, food was excellent! When crowded Roma is pretty loud, it wasn't very crowded when I was there last. All in all, I love Roma.
Most authentic Italian meal outside of Italy! Always the best service and cuisine!
We had a wonderful dinner prior to going to the Palladium for a concert. The food was outstanding. Overall, the restaurant was pretty crowded.
Roma is a great privately owned restaurant, the food is authentic Italian, a wonderful wine list. The restaurant only serves beer and wine, so if you drink spirits only be aware before you come in. Well worth the trip to Carmel and an added bonus, easy to walk to the Palladium for the concert. Highly Recommend!
Service is fabulous.
I have never had a terrible meal at an Italian restaurant, but this was. For Valentine's day they had a set menu with two options for main course, neither of which was pasta. Neither was good, as we tried both. The appetizer was a strange cold poached pear with cheese and one cracker. The second course was one large filled ravioli that wasn't good either. This is not a quiet cozy place to eat. There are many wonderful Italian restaurants in the Indy area and this isn't one. Oh and to top it off we were charged $65 EACH plus drinks. Almost $200 with tip.... very disappointing.
The St Valentine's set menu was wonderful! We always have a great experience at Roma's!
Once again a perfect Valentine’s dinner at Roma with our waiter, Max. Excellent service and perfect Valentine’s menu! The only restaurant to dine at for Valentine’s!
Roma Ristorante is our favorite place to go as a couple for a romantic evening with fine dining and fine, affordable wines served by an attentive, knowledgeable staff. We’ve also enjoyed going with friends and taking out-of-town guests as a special treat.
Pasta is handmade and the sauces are delectable; grilled shrimp is a favorite; and beef, pork, and lamb dishes are always perfectly seasoned.
Perfect place for my husban’s 50th birthday with our kids. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. She selected the perfect wine for our meal. The homemade pastas and sauces are exceptional.
2nd time here and brought my whole family, all absolutely loved the food! Even my 18 year old son commented that it was the best Caesar Salad he’s had.
As usual, we had delicious food and wonderful service. This is our favorite restaurant in Carmel!
Pretty expensive for the food. Pesto was bought from Costco and not home made. Service was good, but the food is not worth the money. Convivio is much better value.
My husband and I went recently for the 2nd time. The first time we were headed to the Palladium for a show and they were careful of our time. This time we were late and called and they were flexible for us. We live in Columbus, IN, and were grateful we did not have to change restaurants. The food was excellent as before. We each had one of the specials. Service was very good.
My wife and I just love going to Roma's Ristorante. This place is a GEM and anytime we have friends in from out of town, taking them to Roma's is a real treat. Still, that doesn't prevent the two of us from treating ourselves to a wonderful meal, with some of the best Italian food, we've ever had. The staff at Roma's are always genuine in their desire to make every experience one that wants us coming back.
What a find! I look for neighborhood gems serving up authentic food made scratch from excellent quality ingredients. I feel extremely lucky to have found Roma's as they ticked off all the boxes above as well as excelling in service. My husband's handmade pasta had amazing flavor and my sea bass was light and flaky. Wine list was an unexpected bonus. Quality of their after dinner coffee service was also a nice surprise. We will come again, and again, and again!
By far our favorite local Italian restaurant.
Hand crafted, made with loving care, Italian dishes. Also visit their Mamma Mia gelato shop for the tastiest gelato and fresh brewed coffees, hand made pastries, etc. Highly recommend both!
We went Christmas Eve and the service was superb. One of the meals was a little fishy though and although most of the food was good it was pretty expensive for what we got.
