Roma Ristorante - Allentown
My friend and I had a quick bite before a 1pm show this past Sunday. We were one of the first to walk in during the lunch time. We were graciously greeted with smiles and warmth. We ordered 4 appetizers for lunch and everything was perfectly delicious ! if I were to have one concern, it would be they never brought us out a basket of bread and dipping oil, as what I thought to be customary. No problem, however, after asking for it. I think it didn't automatically come out because we didn't order a pasta dish.... and only appetizers .... but it was really no big deal !! everything was fresh and the presentation was great !!! I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Roma Ristorante !!!!!
We went for a date night but realized once we got there its not really a date night kind of place,
It is really quiet , or at least when we were there is was super quiet and we sat at 6:45.
Not to many people there and the people that were there were there with their whole families.
The food however is really good, there pizza was perfect and they have a great wine selection. We already talked about going back with the kids and family.
This was my first time back after a bad experience a few years ago. The hostess was extremely nice. My friend ordered a salad with no cheese I had veal. She was very specific as it can make her very ill. Our food took 45 minutes to come out & her salad had cheese. My friend asked the waitress to please tell them to remake a new salad as just the cheese touching it can make her sick. The waitress completely understood. She returned in under 5 minutes with the salad minus the cheese but it clearly was not a new salad. The waitress had other patrons she couldn't stand watch over it. The cook staff merely removed the cheese. My friend would not eat it as now we lost all trust. No manager came to speak to us. The salad was removed & one was offered to take home but we declined. Honestly for all the grief & long wait both meals should have been covered. They charged her for her ice tea which I feel was also wrong given the cook staff risked making my friend ill by cutting corners in just removing the cheese. The waitress & even the hostess were so apologetic & kind. But not a manager or owner came to apologize. I will not be going back.
We were able to have a leisurely dinner with an excellent waitress and delicious food!!!
Great lunch! Love that you can purchase a 1/2 salad! Fries are very tasty!
Food was good, service was excellent. Enjoyed sitting outside.
Food was great as usual. We were there at 1 pm on a Sunday. Hardly anyone in the place.
We have eaten here many times. It’s one of our favorite places to for Salmon. Unfortunately this time when we ordered our Caprese salad, it was half the size we normally get. Yet the price was the same. Also our salmon sides which were spinach and potatoes were also half the portion we normally get. We are hoping it was just a one time fluke. If it happens again we will say something and it may be our last visit. We pay too much money to have portions cut down.
Wonderful meal as always. Took another couple for their first time. They raved about their meal choices. Waitress excellent. Desserts and specialty coffees great as well.
My family of 5 visited Roma on Mother’s Day. It was our first time dining here. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. The service and food were fantastic. We had the fried calamari that was tender and perfectly cooked. The Bolognese was excellent, as were the meatballs, eggplant parm, and marinara sauce. We will definitely return.
Good food, had to wait for my reservation. If not for having to wait excellent food
Roma is a wonderful little secret. You don't expect great food and a super wine list when you see the store front, but once inside, its great. I sat in the bar area, the service was stellar. Prices were more than fair, and the service was top shelf.
The wine list was great, good choices for by the glass. The appetizer and main dishes were prepared perfectly, its a place I will return to for certain. Thanks.
We had dinner at Roma on a Thursday night. We were greeted warmly and directed to a table immediately. Our server was efficient but I thought the food was a bit slow coming out of the kitchen considering the restaurant wasnt busy at all. We both had eggplant dishes which were delicious. I will definitely be back.
Loved my pasta! Excellent pomodoro sauce! Great find while traveling - will return if in the area again!
Good food and excellent service. Very good value.
We had a group of four and we had a great time! ! Our waiter was awesome.....very attentive and friendly! Was there on a Saturday night at 7:00PM and it was full but not overly busy. Our food arrived in a timely manner and each of us loved our food!
Food was excellent
Excellent food and service. My only complaint is that seating is a bit tight. If you are used to NYC dining it is not an issue. A booth can sit 4 people but always seems a bit small, especially if you have a coat or purse. Yes , there are hooks by the the bathrooms to hang them up but not really convenient. Atmosphere is very nice, even for a strip mall.
Roma is located in a strip mall. The food was good but pricey for Italian Cuisine. There are many other Italian restaurants in the area that have wonderful food at a lower cost.
Roma never disappoints. Courteous hostess and servers, delicious drinks and food, great atmosphere.
Authentic Italian food and a good crowd given the location in a strip mall complex
Great as always
Food was off for some reason. Usually the best in the valley.
Loved it! Food was SO GOOD! Our server was so nice, attentive, cheerful. My Husband and I left there wondering why they don't move to a much larger place to accommodate more people however it seems what they have going on works well for them. I got the Lobster Ravioli Fantasy... OMG! The lobster ravioli was perfect and had huge scallops, lobster tail and baby clams mixed in the vodka sauce. I don't really care for baby clams (I should of told them to hold them, however they were still in shell so they were easy to pick out.) We will be back! Thank you!
Great little spot in Bethlehem / Allentown with real good value for the service. We had an excellent waiter and all the food was very very good. Highly recommend for a simple night out with the family.
Jordan was my server, and was very cheerful and accommodating. I arrived at 5:30 for dinner because I had not eaten any lunch that day and was quite hungry. I had been handed the lunch menu, but Jordan exchanged it for the dinner menu, no problem. I ordered the dinner package that included choice of salad, pasta & choice of sauce, and entrée: house salad with balsamic vinaigrette, angel hair pasta with garlic and olive oil, and eggplant parmigiana. While I waited I had warm sliced Italian bread with olive oil and spices- needed salt. The salad was fresh and tasty, pasta cooked just right with roasted garlic on top, and the eggplant parmigiana was very good- not over-sauced, and just the right amount to satisfy without leftovers. (Especially important since I was traveling for work and staying at a hotel.) The entire meal was under $20 before tax and tip.
Nice dinner as always
My wife and I had a wonderful meal. Everything was done perfectly and tasted great. They even presented my wife with a complimentary desert since we were there to celebrate her birthday. Thanks to all that made this a wonderful experience.
Roma is one of my all time favorite restaurants.
I have been going there for over 8 years!!
I recommend them for everything from a great meal, to parties, and especially catering events!!
Geno is truly a great chef, host, and all around great person!!
Roma is my home away from home!!!
Slow service, inexperienced staff. Obnoxious bartender. The food was good, but the entire restaurant seemed to be looking around and waiting for something- food, a check, a refill, someone to process payment. I hope it was just a bad shift due to Valentines Day volume, but this place has been open for years- no excuse!
Menu has changed since we were there last, and much smaller. Was told several times that additional place settings were coming, but had to ask 2 additional times then when our food arrived we asked a final time to get it. Some of our meals seemed like they sat under a heat lamp before served. Waitress was was nice but perhaps had too many tables (it was Valentine’s Day) and was not very attentive. A little disappointed overall for the price-
Made a reservation and were immediately seated. Ordered drinks which were good. Hot bread with olive oil and spices were brought to the table. Entrees came with soup or salad. Hubby had Italian Wedding Soup and I had a Caesar Salad. He had lasagne and I had Veal Fantasy. OUTSTANDING. Huge portion. I will get at least three meals out of it. Went because I got a gift certificate for Christmas. First time there but it will NOT be the last. New fav Italian restaurant!
Awesome place, and delicious food!!! The service is fantastic, and the people that work there are very welcoming.
Excellent value for the money. Busy on the weekends. Reservation highly recommended
Many good food choices. Staff is very attentive. They have never mixed up my request for a decaf espresso martini. I would be jittering all night. Good value, good place.
Good food with wonderful service
Food was great!
One of my favorite places to visit. I usually will get thee salmon or the crab cakes. I must say my last crab cake entree was not very good. Hardly any crab and was mostly breadcrumbs. Won’t be ordering it anymore.
Everything was wonderful - We love their authentic Italian menu and that they are willing to accommodate special instructions. It is a regular restaurant for us and will return again soon.
