great service and atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. Toro tasted fishy, shisito peppers had an odd flavor combination, tuna tataki was off as well. Huge disappointment.
Outstanding birthday meal. Couldn't have hoped for a better evening.
Fantastic! Love this place. Will come again eventhough I dont eat fish.
I'm 50/50 on Roku. The venue is beautiful. The food wasn't my favorite because the portions were small and it wasn't very amazing to make up for the lack of quantity. Our waitress was terrible and we were there early, when it wasn't very busy. If we return, it will be for the yummy cocktails and sushi but there are too many other amazing spots in that area for that price point.
Great food, beautiful restaurant!
The restaurant was fine. The food was excellent.
My complain is related to the operation time, the reservation was for 9:45, we arrived on time, and we asked for the Teppanyaki but the restaurant told ud that the operation for Teo pan was only until 9:30. Maybe this is something that te restaurant should mention on the website in order to inform the customers about it.
We understand that this is something common in LA due to the operation time of the restaurants is normally until 9 or maximum 10, so the options for late dinner are reduced.
The food was incredible, recommended!!
Every single plate was extremely flavorful ! Even the drinks
Not good at all. Fish tasted bad. Service was terrible. Ordered food and salad came at the end of the meal. Beer was forgotten till we had to ask for it again. Didn’t get to enjoy it because I had to leave to go back to work. Overall not a good experience. Prob won’t be going back there again.
Love coming here for dates, special occasions or just for a drink at the bar and a happy hour snack. Friendly staff, always have a great experience. Food is excellent.
Came here for my birthday and no one had a bad dish, everything was delish!
Courses came out in a very disjointed manner. One person in our party waited almost halfway through our meal for simple sushi rolls.
I love the menu and this is my favorite spot for sushi and a great atmosphere in LA.
Food was good, noise level medium, very cozy and chill. However, they don’t carry almond/ soy milk. All in all good place!
Great food but horrible service after the drink order was taken. Had to flag the server down to order food and get the dessert menu and check. High priced food for bad service.
Awesome experience with second to none service
Took a little longer for the food but should be considered the celebration day (Valentine's)
Amazing. Must try chefs special. A must go while your in LA
From the Hamlet to Rive Bella to now Roku. Great location and decor. Food even better than when it was Sushi Roku on 3rd. A nice addition to the neighborhood.
The food was delicious and serving sizes were perfect. The signature lychee sake was a hit. The scorpion drink looked good but was too sweet and weird because of the dry ice or whatever makes the smoke. It was overall an enjoyable evening and I would go back.
I can’t say enough about the overall experience here! We were celebrating a special birthday and I couldn’t have picked a better spot. A truly beautiful restaurant that was pleasantly busy and the music was fantastic, it was loud enough to let you know you were in a happening spot but you could still easily have a conversation. The service was impeccable, our server was Sam. She had amazing suggestions, never made us wait for anything we needed, very attentive and the food was delicious! They brought over an impressive dessert presentation, with a lit volcano like candle. Truly a spectacular end to a spectacular evening. We will definitely be back! Loved it!
The food was amazing! Definitely a step up from the 3rd street location. Food was incredibly fresh. Service was outstanding. Definitely recommend.
Ok food not amazing, good ambiance, good service.
Beautiful restaurant. Overpriced food. Dirty bathrooms.
The restaurant and service were amazing. The food is always consistently good at Roku family. Quality of fish, food and sake are premium
Our server was great - he really made added to the value of the experience!
Food quality has gone downhill over time. Overpriced for what it is. Bummed. Service is great.
It was my boyfriend’s bday and the meal was exquisite! The birthday surprise at the end was amazing! 💕
Very very very very very Good food and great service!
Great value for DineLA! Awesome food and location
My girlfriend and I came to Roku, West Hollywood, for dinner as part of DineLA. We ordered the Hamachi(yellowtail) with ponzu, and calamari for the appetizers. The hamachi was outstanding! For the 2nd course, I ordered the 6 piece sushi combo, and my girlfriend ordered the New York Steak. They were both delicious! The steak was awesome with the fresh yuzu paste, and the Sushi was fresh and flavorful. Our server provided us with comped soju shots at the beginning of dinner (that was nice!). The restaurant did get busy, but we were serviced well throughout dinner. We will Definitely be coming back here to dine.
Awesome vibe great food
First time there and definitely coming back! Service, location, and the food are great!
Amazing service! Amazing food! Prices fairly reasonable. And the atmosphere is awesome. Cool location too. Highly recommend!!!
It was a good time i will return aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was great, but the waitress made us feel extremely unwelcome. She took a long time to take our order, only asked us once if we needed anything else and, after we expressed a desire for dessert, she brought us the bill which indicated to us that it was time for us to leave. The manager noticed our disappointment and asked to make it good (and that was much appreciated) but my kids (ages 13 and 20, so they weren't posing any kind of discipline problem) were ready to go back to the hotel after such a long wait. My observation of the other waitstaff was that they were excellent. I just think ours didn't want to be there on Christmas Eve. I would still return. I just would ask to not be seated at the same table.
Food was amazing
The best thing about this restaurant is that they start with a free lychee sake shot. The environment is also extremely impressive.
Roku was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and unique. The service was wonderful. We will definitely go back next time we are in LA. I highly recommend dining at Roku!
One of the worst Japanese meals I have ever had. The fried rice was smelling of raw fish, the sushi rolls were falling apart, the beef was tasteless and rubbery. Just overall terrible place. Please never go here.
the food was delicious! When manager found out we were celebrating a special occasion, we were treated to a wonderful surprise. thank you!
