About Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar
Every day funk is what going Rogue is all about. Crazy tall light fixtures and walls that glow set against sand-blasted brick and well-worn hardwood floors.
Menu-wise, going Rogue means doing things in the kitchen others said couldn’t be done. Like a completely fresh burger served medium-rare to make it the juiciest and best tasting in town. Or corn-dogs your not supposed to want but secretly crave.
Going Rogue means your horizons are greater than the “usual suspects” of chain restaurants. Rogue gives it’s customer an eclectic enough offering of food and surroundings, that they can feel and be themselves. You can go Rogue when you’re slumming, you can go Rogue when you need to impress. You can go Rogue with a date, your mates or with your boss.
Best of all, you can afford to go Rogue every day of the week. Need a stiff drink and tasty meal to get you through your daily grind and have enough left over to do it all again tomorrow? Go Rogue.

Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar Ratings and Reviews
This place has turned into my 'goto' place for lunch when meeting friends on the opposite side of the city. I work in North Vancouver and it just works perfectly for friends taking transit and not have to worry about coming across the Lions Gate. LOVE the cornbread croutons. I'm tempted to ask for a bowl of them the next time I'm there. :) Thanks again for having a quick lunch ready for us so we can race back to work! Service is impeccable and super attentive!
The rogue was a great experience. My boyfriend and I were seated right away, with reservations. Although it took a while for our server to serve us, once we ordered, the food and drinks arrived promptly. I had the cedar plank salmon, which was delicious. My boyfriend had the chili, which he liked, but wished there was a warning that it is really spicy. It was very loud, hard to hear one another. Overall, other than a few minor things, we loved the rogue and it's affordable prices for great food. We will definately return.
I took my brother and his girlfriend here to celebrate his 19th birthday. Remembered to come here for the great prices and good food! I made a reservation online with OpenTable. For some reason it did not show up on their end, but they were happy to make accomodations even though it was a pretty busy night. Had a really friendly/funny server and an overall good night.
Evening starting off great, attentive service, good drinks and good food. However, when we had finished our food and wanted to get over to the convention centre, the server disappeared! For over 20 minutes! When he finally emerged we had to wave him down to get the bill and once he brought it, he was no where to be seen to take payments. We actually had to get a manager to come do our debits. Working in a restaurant for many years, this is usually customary to do AFTER you have taken payment...not before! As such, we were waiting over 30 minutes when we had somewhere to be. Left with a bad impression solely because of the lack of service.
I had a business lunch here this week and was blown away by the great food. One person at our table ordered the won ton soup and raved about it. It looked amazing and was huge! I had the veggie burger and think it is the best in the city, which is what the third person said about the Rogue burger, served with a steak knife rub through it. Prices were good and food was excellent.
The location is perfect for a no-driving get together - important in these days of .05% breathalysers. I took the Canada Line, my friend from Deep Cove came by seabus, and my downtown friend walked. This restaurant is uniquely located right in Waterfront Station - easy to find, no parking hassles, and you can have a drink without a conscience. Oh - and the food, service and washroom ambience are all pretty hot.
We decided to try Rogue for lunch. It's busy so we used the online reservation system! We were seated quickly and the service was prompt. Calamari and sushi bombs for appetizers, both were good. The sushi bombs are served in a way I've never seen before, with a burst of flavour that has to be tried to be fully understood. I had a chicken cobb salad which was very good and filling for a salad, a good value for the price. My date had the baha fish tacos and she said it was tasty. She is normally a fussy eater so it must have been good. We didn't have anything to drink other than coffee, and we made a decision to try Rogue again as it has an extensive bar menu and daily drink specials. Definitely we'll go again for an evening date.
Came for a quick drink after our anniversary dinner. Cool atmosphere and very busy. Chose the wrong drinks, the raspberry ale didn't taste good nor did their dark and stormy which is my wife's favorite. Service was great, just bad luck in choice of drink! I would go again but with a group.
I've been to ROGUE three times now, twice in the last week and rarely have I been disappointed. There was an issue w/one of the lobster mac n' cheese entrees (too dry and breadcrumbs were a bit blackened) but it was resolved to our satisfaction. A definite must try is ROGUE's bucket of yam fries! Best in the city as far as I'm concerned and I am not a 'yam fries' person at all but theirs certainly converted me.
Good lunch spot with a decent menu and usually lively at lunch and with the after work crowd. Good venue for watching sport but a good compromise if you are not an avid fan. Mezzanine level caters for larger parties and creates a private function area whils being part of the overall vibe.
The fish tacos were disappointing - small portion and limp fish. Have had much better at other local alternatives. Otherwise the sandwiches and salads went down well with others in the group.
OUr first visit proved not to be a very receptive one. Despite the fact we had a reservation, we were greeted by the hostess with " Yes, it's 5 pm , but if you can eat and be out by 6:45, we'll need your table for 7 pm. We were rushed trough our entire dinner and not even offered coffee or tea. I had an unclean fork at my table setting of which I showed to the waitress. She was appalled, but then asked "Do you need a fork?" I had a salad in front of me. The manager came over at the end of the evening and apologized and took the blame and handed over 2 $50 gift certificates. It was a nice gesture and I feel the whole experience was a miscommunication on the part of the staff.
My pulled pork sandwich and fries came out tepid. The description of the sandwich didn't quite match the image the menu created. The cloeslaw mentioned was actually about 2 tablespoons in the sandwich :(, not on the side. The fries that came with the sandwich appeared and tasted like they had been sitting in front of a heat lamp for quite some time before being served. I had asked the server if I could have honey with my coffee and was told that they would go look for some, but even though the server came back to the table several times later they appeared to have completely ignored the request. Otherwise they were very friendly.
Good ambience. The food was good, with a sligtly different fair. For example the Edemame was slightly spicy, the little corn dogs were the first corn dogs I have ever had that I enjoyed. There was an option for dinner for the vegan in the group. I would go back again.
It was a nice place, the food was good but not great. The drinks and beer selection were fantastic. The main problem was the table we were given. It was just me and my boyfriend, and despite having a reservation we got stuck at a small table the seemed to be an afterthought. Two large groups were subsequently seated directly behind us which meant our food and drinks were slow to arrive, the room was so loud that it was hard to talk, and the people in the large groups kept bumping into my boyfriend. I think I would have had a better experience if we were sitting somewhere. I find that, when dining as a couple, you tend to get stuck in the worst place so the restaurant can fit in as many people as possible, and that's unfortunate.
The food was great (my friend raved about the 'nice little salad'), pitchers of Sangria were on for $12, and we didn't have to wait for a table even during the busy 12-1 lunch rush. The restaurant was full, but we were able to have a conversation comfortably and secludely. The server was charmingly chatty & very helpful, and apologetic when he had a little rush and we had to flag him down to order when we finally decided what we wanted (it was a tough decision!). We'll definitely be back for a girls night of drinks & appies, even though it was originally recommended by a friend who went for beers and food with the boys. Casually classy place, affordable, & great for groups (they have 4 different private rooms or the general Den area).
My son had recommended it so we could all meet downtown. It was easy to get to, in a beautiful historic building at the Waterfront station. The menu didn't look extensive, but everything we tried was very tasty. The waiter was attentive and gave recommendations when asked. We took our time as two of our party had to arrive later but it wasn't a problem on a Tuesday evening. I'd go back and bring friends.
Food was truly terrible (we're not even picky eaters). We had several salads and appetizers. Very expensive for what you get (quantity and quality). One guest at our table returned his dish and didn't ask for a re-do. Waitress actually commented on the dish being returned: "you're right, this doesn't look like how it's usually presented..." and "we have a new crew tonight...". The overall feeling was that we were ripped off.
