Rogue Kitchen & Wet Bar - Broadway Ratings and Reviews
The service and food were good but we hadn't been to one of your restaurants before so we did not realize how loud it was. We were meeting people for dinner that we wanted to have a visit with. It was impossible to hear each other unless we shouted or huddled over the table.
A week ago we went to celebrate my son's birthday. It took 50 minutes to have the food served. We ordered hamburgers and one of them wasn't cook, it was rare. When we mentioned this to the waitres she said that it's suppouse to be like that.
In general service and food was horrible, we won't come back.
Was looking for a place for dinner for NYE. Everywhere was booked on open table but found this place and they were taking reso. Wasn't too busy as it was away from DT but close enough for a train ride to the event. Server was awesome and the food came at a reasonable time. Very pleased for a NYE dinner service.
30th wedding Anniversary
Was offer a dessert to share, when we had paid the bill. A glass of bubble at the beginning of our evening would have been lovely...
Some confusion with Gluten free items on menu.
Waiter seemed unsure🙄
Over all it was a nice meal experience, been there few times. Shame about the lag of fuss for the occasion.
Rogue was a great place to meet with my friends and catch up. I was easy to get a reservation via open table. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone I dealt with was very upbeat which made the experience very good. It is nice to see a restaurant in Vancouver get by with good service good atmosphere and good food and not relying on trampy looking servers with poor service and overpriced mediocre food.
I've made it to this location twice now.
This past visit I was there for a quick bite before a friend and I went to a wedding show in the area.
I ordered the Brussels sprouts and the nice little salad and my friend ordered the cheeseburger with a Caesar salad.
Both portions were large enough, and I enjoyed both my salad and sprouts.
I give this review three stars because my friend felt her burger was a tad over cooked and there were quite a few flies all over the wall we were seated next to.
Food was very good, really enjoyed our sandwiches and desserts. Service was very intermittent, from the time we finished eating to the point where we finally got our bill was almost 30 minutes. Dessert also took over 20 minutes to make it out. We were there 2 hours, a table of 2. Not all tables were booked either.
Although the service, ambience was good, the food I ordered , specially the Famour Rouge Burger was a little bit burn, hence taste bitter. But all the others, like Kale Salad, cheesecake was done perfectly. I did not bother to complain since it was a business lunch meeting with a client, and we were more focus on the business side of things than just the food. My two cents!
We were there to celebrate, and wanted totake our time. We were never rushed, everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and charming. The décor is opinionated without being uncomfortable (in this way the Broadway location is better than the Convention Centre location).
This was our first visit to Rogue. It was a week night so it was not overly busy and the noise level was just right. Our server was Maxine, who was friendly and very attentive. The food took quite a while to appear but people at our table were happy with their choices. However, I ordered my salmon cooked through and it arrived quite dry, as was the halibut. Overall, I would definitely recommend Rogue, and we plan to return soon.
Came here for Valentine's Day, and the service was pretty good. Food was served efficiently, but it wasn't like it was reheated; everything tasted very good. My partner and I got the filet mignon and blackened steak, which came out nicely at medium rare. Their beer selection is actually quite large, with a good variety of craft breweries. However, for those that are craft beer enthusiasts, it may not provide the beer variety that you are looking for, as most are pale ales, lager or IPA.
The Broadway location is central for a group of us that come from various parts of greater Vancouver via public transit. But what really keeps us coming back is the good food at a reasonable price and the friendly staff. The Lobster Mac 'n Cheese is a personal favourite.
My whole real was destroyed simply by being served a glass of water with detergent still on the rim. The taste if detergent could not be cleared from my mouth throught the meal. There was no effort to make up for it other than a simple apologie and a fresh glass!
