A wonderful Easter dinner to remember!🐣

Always feel special dining at the Roger Sherman. Friendly staff and a beautiful meal.

Very Expensive Pre-Fixe for $90/person on Easter vs. their usual Brunch menu. 3 courses which were all very nice, but still very pricey considering even NYC and other area 4star+ dining options are not that expensive. And they had not explicitly stated before hand that the usual brunch menu was not offered and that the only option was the $90 Pre-Fixe.

Fantastic experience for a special occasion to catch up with old friends. I highly recommend the duck which was extremely good!

Just enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch, the eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly, the lobster bisque and chicken pot pie were pure perfection. Even the bread basket served with olive oil was done well, the bread was fresh and heated just right. The host and server were friendly and attentive. It is the perfect way to relax on a Sunday and Enjoy!!

Because of the pandemic, we requested porch seating for our party of 4.
Management was extremely accomodating and because of the frigid temperatures, they adjusted the heaters so that we would be comfortable. Good for everyone to know: there are plastic sides that contain the area so the heat stays in.
Our waitress was lovely! She allowed us plenty of time for cocktails prior to ordering. The food was fantastic! I recommend the duck - my husband loved his halibut and out guests loved their pasta dishes.
We rarely venture out to restaurants because we are not vaccinated yet but this was a dining delight! We look forward to eating inside (we love the bar area) very soon!!!!

My daughter and her boyfriend had never been here. They loved it!!!! We had a perfect evening and dining experience.. right from the start the hostess was warm and friendly. I think the rooms have been redecorated since the last time I was here!!! Beautiful, bright, yet not overwhelming......our table by the window in the garden room was the best!!!!

Drinks were excellent, loved the French 75 and the whiskey sour brought back more than a few memories!!!! We had a fabulous server, Paul!! He had the perfect mix of knowledge about the menu and a great personality!!!!!! Now the food!!!! Everything was perfect!! The vegetable Napoleon mmmmm mmmmm!!!! Two orders of raw oysters, fab....my escargot were excellent!! The butter and garlic!!! My daughter had the steak and loved it! Her boyfriend had the lobster sliders... they shared, so surf and turf.. both potatoes that came with them were delicious. My husband had the halibut over risotto, and was very happy!!! My lobster with pappardelle was amazing!!!! Then we had dessert!! Pumpkin tart, apple tart, pistachio creme brûlée, and the bread pudding. All outstanding. And calorie free!!! I am sure!! Seriously will be back soon, I hope!! All of this with appropriate social distancing and awful virus protections observed!!! Thanks for a wonderful evening!!!!!!❤️🙏😊

The RSI is always our "go to" establishment. We are never disappointed my the menu selection and quality of the food. We recommend the RSI to all our friends and family. The ambiance is quite lovely and always decorated so beautifully. The service for our latest visit was not up to the usual standards but this seemed to be the exception to our previous visits. We will absolutely try them again and hope that this was a once in a visit occurrence.

Great service with attentive staff. Menu offered good options for my vegetarian wife.

I ordered the peppercorn skillet steak and it was delicious but pricey.
Service was very attentive and responsive. The staff take pride in their restaurant and it shows. I have dined there several years ago but it was not outstanding. Today it is! Congratulations!
My only recommendation is to have some lower priced entrees on the menu and take a sharper pencil in regard to how you priced this steak and the Dover sole.

All aspects of our dining experience at the Roger Sherman Inn were exceptional. We had a lovely celebratory brunch and look forward to returning for future occasions.

For many years we have driven past the Roger Sherman Inn and I have no idea why we didn’t try it sooner. We had a fabulous Saturday date night!
We ate in the bar area and enjoyed the live music all evening. From the moment we were greeeted & seated, everything was perfect. My husband loved that the maitre d took our drink order when he sat us. The food and ambience were perfect. We will definitely be returning!

Wonderful experience all around! Old school charm with great food and service. Will be back.

Another lovely evening with friends at the Roger Sherman Inn. The Inn has been a family go to for years.

We had an early dinner - when we arrived, the dining room was almost empty, though it filled up during our dinner. The bar was busy. The food and service was excellent. We both had the special of the day - pheasant - which was delicious. The desserts were fantastic as well. I would highly recommend the Roger Sherman Inn.

A real classic standard-

It's hard to find a sophisticated yet warm restaurant that ticks off all the boxes anymore: the delicious and varied food, the attentive service, the pretty atmosphere. Music was at the right level and melodic - you could actually hear the conversation at the table. In a world of restaurant chains and "trendy, nouveau" cuisine, Roger Sherman Inn stands apart. We had a very enjoyable, leisurely dinner to celebrate my Aunt's birthday. It's definitely on my list of favs.

Very attentive waiters and servers. I love the new look in the dining areas. Greeter could not have been nicer. Our birthday group had a wonderful delicious brunch.

We attended on Valentines Day. The venue is fine, decorations could be improved as doesn’t carry any particular character or that of an old inn. Food was very good, but service unfortunately was poor. Very slow, not paid much attention to, and food needed to be re-heated. Overall it was a nice experience, with live music and dancing, but could have been better.

Valentine’s Day pre fix dinner. Unfortunately, very slow service, the meal was not up to their usual standards and there was a loud band playing. Overall a disappointment and not in keeping with our previous experiences there.

Went for a Valentine’s Day prefix meal; I know upcharging comes with the territory there but the value was just not good. Nevertheless, good and service was excellent, ambiance was terrific, would definitely recommend.

Service was terrible. Took 50 min to get food from apps to entree.
