Mediocre food with terrible service
Good food and service. First time there and would definitely return if they weren't closing at the end of the month.
It's closing down for a reason - bad food bad service
Took my parents here for a classic Brooklyn brunch. They loved it!
It was my first time at RTR but it definitely won't be my last. The atmosphere was welcoming and interesting. I loved watching all the other patrons as they enjoyed RTR; they ranged from mid-20's to 50+. The food was innovative and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great for drinks. Brunch Food is average.Nothing out of the world. But loved the spot.
The only big obstacle for a glowing review was, unfortunately, the unnecessarily loud music.
Brunch is priced pretty reasonable for the area – kinda straightforwardly New American, not very heavy. Coffee's great
Prefix Valentine was a rip, app's were limited got a salad, steak was chewy and only option for dessert was a small bowl of icecream for $65
When we booked the reservation there was no mention of a special Valentine's Day menu. I would have booked somewhere else for the price they were charging. Not worth it. Also really inattentive with checking if we wanted drinks etc. I would pay those prices for good food/service but it tasted like meals that someone was attempting with Blue Apron home delivery.
Had never been here for food but was pleasantly surprised. Good service and tasty - had appetizers only, crab toast, calamari, steak tartare, all 👍🏻👍🏻 I would come back, would be fun with a group of friends.
We went there because we were told they had great waffles, but there were no waffles on the menu. French toast was standard. Also ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on Texas Toast. I expected the Texas Toast to have some flavor, but it was just white bread with griddle marks, so I didn't eat the bread. The egg/cheese part of the sandwich was good though.
Food was just okay. The beet dish serves two eggs very sunny side up, the whites barely cooked.
We were one of two tables there between 10-11:30 for brunch on a Saturday. Restaurant was chilly, some of our party kept coats on the entire time.
I was looking forward to trying the grits; however, we were told they took time to prep and wouldn't be serving them until 30 minutes after our reservation.
The menu on Open Table and the menu at the restaurant were not the same. That was a disappointment because we went there especially for food items that ended up not being available before dinner but showed as available in the open table version of the lunch menu. The food was sub-par... not disgusting or anything but not at all amazing. The fries were hard which we didn't enjoy. They don't have fresh avocados; only guacamole as an avocado option. The waiter that we had was lovely. It's just okay... we were in the area and went there because we were hungry but I wouldn't trouble myself to go back there and if I'm in the area again I wouldn't necessarily go back there. I can see it being a good place to go for brunch with a bunch of friends because the ambiance is open and bright which is nice but if you're a foodie you wouldn't love love love this place -- at least not for lunch. And even though they're called "Tea Room" they don't really seem to specialize in tea.
They are timely when it comes to making reservations and highly responsive. The tea is also amazing as are the brunch options. It is affordable yet feels luxurious.
Went here on a Wednesday Night for a date. We went at 8PM and there was plenty of open seating. The music was low enough to hear each other talk. Very cozy. Friendly staff. The food was very good, but on the pricier side. We both got a drink and entree and our bill was $93 with tax and tip. Overall good experience.
Great ambience, great service, unfortunately the food itself was pretty bad. We were a party of 4 and not one of us had a dish that was decent - appetizers and entrees included.
Williamsburg-y for sure but in all the best ways: Great service, great food, cool ambiance.
Bon, service rapide Et sympa, ambiance agréable Et animée
The host/barback was insanely rude and should probably not be working in the hospitality industry. He showed me to a table and I asked if I could possibly sit outside. he walked me to the back where it was empty and chilly. I was waiting for a friend and told him I would wait to see where she would prefer to sit in the relatively uncrowded restaurant. I thought I was being polite but apparently this offended him so much that he felt the need to complain about me to the bartender while I was sitting across from him, saying how annoying it was that i asked to see the outside and then changed my mind. This obviously made the rest of the meal really uncomfortable and I would not go back or recommend to a friend.
I really enjoyed this place. Sad to see it closed! Been here a couple of times and the food and atmosphere are perfect for a date night or a night out with friends.
Brought friends from out of the country here for sunday brunch. Food was good, wish there were just a few more choices. Drinks were good and service excellent!
Friendly server, food arrived quickly
A beautiful spot with great service! The food was delicious and the tea was top-notch. I will be back!
Everyone is always very nice and very accommodating, which is one reason we keep going back. We love the bar, but it can get noisy on weekends. Last visit they offered to set up three chairs for us in the garden. Perfect for conversation. The burgers are fantastic. The beef tartar was a bit underwhelming. Great cocktails.
We're not fans of having brunch in places where the previous night's partying is still in evidence. Dark spaces, the smell of stale beer, etc., turn us off. The Roebling Tea Room is our idea of a lovely brunch spot. It's bright, spacious and relaxed.
The menu has a wide range of offerings and the food was good. Service was very friendly.
Know that espresso drinks are not offered. There's only coffee.
We were a party of 6, but the place wasn't particularly busy. Our food took an hour to arrive, and no one offered an explanation or checked in on us. One dish arrived bone cold, and even after all of the 5 others like it had been forgotten somewhere.
Other than them not having two things (pancakes, steak and eggs) that we really wanted to try it was still a great place to dine. My veggie burger with gruyère cheese and fries was great!
3rd time here and 2 out of 3 times the service has been very poor. It started well, but our waitress basically disappeared on us half way through the main course so we were without drinks for a long time. When she finally returned we asked for the dessert menu and she left to get it, but never returned. Finally we asked another waiter for the dessert menu, he too left and returned about 15 minutes later with a menu that had 3 things on it. They could have just told us the dessert menu and saved us the bother. Disappointing as the space itself is good and the place has potential, but is let down considerably by some staff that arent well trained or dont give a sh*t about the customer.
Best Cocktails in the neighborhood. Great servers & bartenders as well. Afraid to share this, but rarely a wait for a seat at night.
Had a great time. Fries were delish, as was the Mac and cheese!
We had good service, but the steak was not quite up to restaurant quality standards, as it contained more than the usual amount of gristle, and was a bit overcooked.
no dejen de probarlo ! super recomandable ! el ambiente bien de domingo por la mañana, con familias con niños y mesas llenas de amigos. Una buena michelada y salud !
Three out of five of us all found are main courses way too salty.
Food was great.
We ate twice at Roebling Tea Room, once before a show and once after. Both times, food and beverage were excellent. It was moderately quiet before and pleasantly raucous afterwards! The service was first rate and we'd go there again in a minute. Seems like a great neighborhood hangout. We'd recommend it to friends.
I had a great brunch here with my parents! I always go for the bendict but my parents got one of the vegetarian bowl specials and they were awesome too!
I've been going to Roebling Tea Room for a long time, but it's gotten worse than it used to be. The food came out incredibly slowly. My husband asked for his burger medium-rare and it came well done, and when he told our server that it was overcooked she didn't offer in any way to fix the problem. It was also so loud that our party of 5 couldn't hear each other at all.
