Rodneys is a hidden gem.Excellent food and service! Bring your appetite!
We are thrilled to have such a wonderful restaurant in Georgetown! The food was exceptional and everyone was very attentive and welcoming!
As always the food was wonderful and the service too!
Our waiter was Jason. He was a great waiter because he gave us time to enjoy our drinks for a few minutes, before we order the scrumptious mussels. He made sure we had want we needed, and wasn't Obtusive. My husband had the lamb chops, and I had the special salad, and Lobster tail.. Our meal was great as always. We drive from Westfield in., and spent a couple days. This was our second visit, and we will definitely be back!
The cuisine is outstanding, the service impeccable. We live in Ohio and would almost consider driving to Georgetown just to eat at Rodney's. This was our second visit, and it was as memorable as the first. For starters I had the seahorses -- scallops wrapped in prosciutto served on a bed of amazing crispy spinach; my wife had the oysters, which she loved. For the main course I had the Signature Pasta and she the Woodford Reserve Shrimp and Scallops. Both were superb, as was the asparagus soup. All nicely matched by the Riesling, preceded by a Moscow Mule. I can't say enough about how we like this place.
Great food, good wine list, lovely ambiance, neat bar, quiet enough for easy conversation; a rare find in Georgetown!
Rodney's is an outstanding foodie destination with impeccable and friendly service, exceptional food delicately seasoned to bring out the subtle nuances of each dish's wonderful flavors, and the warm and inviting atmosphere of an historic mansion from a bygone era lovingly restored to its former glory. As a former hotelier and restaurateur and a New York City resident with access to some of the world's greatest restaurants and culinary experiences, I was extremely impressed by Rodney's on Broadway and would definitely dine there again when returning to this part of Kentucky, and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fine food and excellent service in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
It was a really quiet atmosphere, good for conversation and a romantic evening. The food was amazing and the wait staff very knowledgeable and courteous. I loved it and we will go back the next time we are in Kentucky!
Food was excellent. Love the old house charm. Would definitely go back sometime for a special occasion.
While in the Georgetown area on business, we followed other reviewers' positive comments when looking for a place for a nice dinner. We are very happy we did choose to have dinner at Rodney's. Starting with the physical setting itself, in an old home, the setting was quite beautiful with wonderful artwork on the walls and glowing fireplaces in the various dining rooms.
The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. The Chef took the time to greet us after our meal and made us feel like old friends.
We look forward to our next visit.
Great environment and the Sea Bass is the best! Erica was great and made the experience very enjoyable! The Old Fashion, Sea Bass, and Raspberry Tort can’t be beat! I also recommend the chicken livers and Chesapeake Bay Oysters anytime they’re available on the menu!
Rodney is the best Chef in Ky! Thanks for a wonderful meal and great service. You made my wife's birthday.
This was our first visit to Rodney's and we will definitely return. Steaks were absolutely perfect! This may be the best restaurant near Lexington!
this place is awesome
one of the best steaks ive ever had prices are fair actually better than fair highly recomend it
This place was amazing. The Delmonico steak was cooked to perfection, the grits were creamy and luxurious. The flourless chocolate cake was rich and decadent served with a raspberry sauce and fresh berries. The server was not only friendly but professional and very knowledgeable. Chef Rodney was a very gracious host and prepared the food to exceptional standards. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely add this to my favorite restaurants.
Everything was delicious. Chef Rodney approached each table to meet his guests in a super friendly manner! Bravo!
This is one of the best restaurants in the Lexington area. The food was delicious and the service was great. She had a wedge salad and then a perfect fillet. I had a lamb chop with a delicious reduction and then the duck. We have been waiting for some time to visit Rodney’s and I’m glad we finally did. We will be back.
Always the best food and drink. Can't wait to go back.
First time at Rodney’s and will definitely return soon!
Celebrating a Birthday and everything was perfect. I will definitely plan other family events at Rodney's,
Excellent service. Great food this is a hidden gem.
Our first time at this restaurant and we’ll certainly be back. Excellent meal and ambiance, a home built in the 1840’s converted to a restaurant. I had the lamb chops which were excellent. My wife had the special, halibut with lobster Newburg sauce which was very nice as well. Seasonal ingredients used for sides were appreciated. The sin cake was indeed sinful. Definitely worth the short trip from Lexington.
Wonderful food and superior service. This was our first visit and we would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Very nice dining experience. Good variety on menu, well prepared and delicious. Excellent service.
Would definitely return if/when in area.
Food was excellent, service was great! Chef hit it out of the park on the Scallops & Shrimp as well as the filet that my husband ordered.
Had a wonderful dinner. Super friendly staff. We were there beyond the posted hours but never felt rushed and was able to finish our meal.
Spectacular meal with wonderful hosts and friendly/ knowledgeable waitress--thanks Cat. Crispy duck and perfectly grilled filet mignon and lobster. Sides were also note worthy. Looking forward to another visit.
We had been there before and the food was good but this time was very disappointing. The trout was terrible and the filet was not cooked as requested. The rest of the food was average and overpriced for the meal.
Service was spectacular! Rodney was an amazing g cook!! We where visiting from Texas. Will visit again for sure!!
Always good. The food is very reliable and lamb amazing
This is our second visit to Rodneys while traveling. We went out of her way to come to the restaurant because it was so wonderful the first time we tried it. The second time was even nicer with a refined wine list, a great bar experience, fun staff and whatever they’re doing in the kitchen is marvelous! Can’t wait to visit again. Recommend it without reservation ( no pun intended
Incredible food! Glad we found it. Will recommend this place to everyone.
Loved the duck and service was excellent and not hurried and I love that.
First time at Rodney’s celebrating fiancé birthday. We were sat in a cozy room with only 4 tables including ours, my fiancé had a birthday card waiting at our table,,a very nice surprise. She had the Delmonico Ribeye and I had the Filet,,, both were AMAZING and service was great ! We are already planning a return trip.
I eaten here twice before and told my wife how amazing the food was.
So I planned a date night with us getting a hotel room and surprising her with a trip to Rodney’s.
She was very pleased with the restaurant’s appearance, waiter and she was so delighted with the food she posted our photo on FB.
We also called our family and told them they must take a trip to Rodney’s.
Another great meal at Rodney’s. I had one of the specials a salmon dish with a lobster and crab topping in a delicious sauce. My lovely date had the Filet mignon, she said it was the best steak she’s eaten in years. We split a piece of carrot cake with a bourbon pecan sauce on top. All menus descriptions are mine. I may not have described them as they are in the restaurant. Lol Great Job Rodney’s PS. Jen at the bar is GREAT! Not all bartenders get that rating.
It was our 30th anniversary and when greeted at the door, we were wished a Happy Anniversary. Our wait person, Deborah, was a wonderful representation of Rodney's! She was gracious, friendly, very helpful, and made our celebration all it could be. We plan to return soon, special occasion or not!
My husband took me to Rodney's to celebrate my birthday and it was terrific! I had Ecuadorian swordfish, which was a special, and my husband had shrimp and grits from the menu. Very good!
Beef was wonderful and service outstanding. Will go back!
