The food taste delicious and our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and area. The building has history and looks pristine. We went early so it was very quiet and romantic! Great find!
Almost everything I order was overly salty. The serve was slow. It is a beautiful place and the lounge area was delightful. But I can’t say I would ever come back. The server told me the octopus was great- it was not. It was overly cooked and way to salty. I don’t understand how it got good reviews on TripAdvisor.
Food was absolutely fabulous - our server Joe was excellent - the Lamb Chops were to die for - Amazing 😉 Dining Experience
Our server Dan from Pennsylvania was outstanding. Food was fantastic from the ahi tuna app to the miso salmon and filet mignon. The special side was cauliflower au gratin which was the best I’ve had.
Best restaurant in Tampa Bay!
Excellent atmosphere, service is spot on, food is impeccable, and price is appropriate.
Food was not exceptional for the price that is being charged.
We had Donald D. who was the BEST server I've ever had. We we're celebrating our 13 year anniversary and feel so lucky to have him wait in us. Food was perfect down to our Happy anniversary chocolate.
I thought the sides and the service were great but i was not impressed with the steak.
Once again, Rococo exceeded expectations — from the service, to the ambiance, to the food, as well as the wine. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to going back in two weeks.
Food was outstanding. Mushrooms were exceptional. Waitress provided guidance and steered us to good appetizers and side dishes.
We mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary when we made the reservation and when we arrived, but nothing special for us. We ordered the 40oz porterhouse to share, it was cooked to our liking but very tough and hard to cut and chew. The sides we ordered to share we very basic and nothing to brag about. The waiter seemed annoyed or that's not right, more like he was just going through the motions, he had no spirit or liveliness to him.
As soon as we were sat at our table our waitress came up it seems to start off fine. She took our drinks orders and she appeared agitated. She gave us the dinner menu spiel with the least amount of enthusiasm possible. We ordered salads and meal. Twenty minutes no salads and others sat and eating. Steaks arrive and they’re bland and tasteless. Almost as if they sat around waiting for other food items to be ready. We were at our table at 7:45 and did not receive our meal until 8:50. We will not be back
My brother went there for the third time. We sat in the bar. It was very nice. The service was excellent. They had a good choice of wine. We ordered strip steaks and they were very good. I highly recommend this restaurant for steaks. They have other dishes, which may be good, but I have not tried them yet.
Perfect evening to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. Very attentive staff and delicious food. Drinks were amazing.
Very nice, excellent food. Just a little dark depending upon where you are seated.
Food was outstanding and so was Molly our server. Would come back again
Best steakhouse around!!!
Hello, I brought my girlfriend in for dinner and it was a special night thanks to Rococo! We started with martinis at the bar which were perfect of course. We then got seated and met our server Lyndi T. - what a treat she was to have and discuss wine and other things. She is a fantastic server and gave us lots of good information on wine locally and beyond. We will definitely come back to Rococo and request her as our server! KM
What a wonderful experience from start to finish! I had originally made reservations for Monday night for four people at 7:30pm. I had called about two hours prior to our reservation to inquire changing our guest count from four to five people, and ask if I could push the reservation from 7:30pm to 7:45pm. The host, Matt, was so friendly and genuine on the phone that I could sense him smiling throughout the conversation. He accomodated my requests without inferring any kind of inconvenience or frustration.
When my family and I arrived we were warmly greeted by Matt, and immidiately shown to our table. My family visiting from California were so impressed by the beauty and elegance of the restaurant. The building itself is beautiful, and the decor is a nice compromise of classic and contemporary. The layout is so unique, and we were pleased to be seated in an area that really felt like a private room. My father even commented that he felt like he was having dinner in the White House.
Dinner was exceptional! The filets and New York strips were all cooked to perfection and were filled with flavor. The whipped mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. My husband commented that the asparagus were the best he's had! The mushrooms were sauteed and so tender. The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had! The desserts are a MUST! My personal favorite was the lavendar and honey creme brulee.
Our server, Aaron, was really timely throughout the meal, and his professional and witty demeanor was much appreciated. The manager, Will, was extremely personable and made outstanding wine recommendations. My family and I felt really well hosted! We will definitely be back for the amazing food and the attentive, thouhtful service.
A great place to have a special occasion meal! The venue is really nice and comfortable. We got seated very quickly and the server were on point. We had a couple of the starters. All amazing. Our only issue is our steak was a little more blue than medium well. It still had a heavy crust and great flavor but would have liked it a little more med rare. Not enough for us to not want to return and enjoy a great meal. Oh and a very good wine list!
Excellent service, food and atmosphere
Birthday. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.
Food amazing, service amazing, ambiance amazing!! Overall AMAZING!!
Rococo Steak was excellent. The menu choices were varied and interesting. Portions were very reasonable,I had grass fed filet and my girl had rack of lamb. Both dishes were well prepared and the accompaniments were similarly displayed, including creamed spinach and lobster tail.
The wine list is expansive, with choices for most all budgets. We had a wonderful Chianti Classico.
Dessert was a flourless chocolate and espresso cake, almost fudge like and deliciously decadent.
Overall, a wonderful, if expensive dining experience. We will be back!
Outstanding steaks, excellent drinks. The best, with Ruth&Chris, in Tampa
This place could be awesome. Just a few lacking details and lacking attention. The appetizer was ok - beef carpaccio, but had clearly been made way beforehand and sliced extremely thin. The meat stuck to the plate like glue. Also was offered no fresh pepper, some olive oil, or any other spice with the carpaccio. Actually the waiter went MIA for a while. Main course portions we good size and salmon was cooked to perfection, although the salmon was supposed to come with some rice, but only came with over cooked bok choy.
Outstanding - we started with the steak carpaccio, outstanding! followed by strip steak for my friend and Petite Filet for myself. I wish I did get the strip steak for it was outstanding. Next time. The wine selection was very good they have a very large offering from Screaming Eagle to Uppercutt, all price points. Service was out standing. We will be back.
I had a really great experience at this restaurant. The waiter were very attentive to me and my needs. I had the salmon and it was made to perfection. If I was to get anything from there it would definitely be that.
The food was delicious, such a great atmosphere and friendly staff! I can’t wait to go back! The Sunday Brunch was amazing so I highly recommend!
Christina at the bar is fabulous!
Rococo exceeded all expectations for our evening. The grilled octopus appetizer was surreal, absolutely amazing. The dry aged porterhouse was absolutely decadent. Our server John S was extraordinary. Very knowledgeable and capable of answering any questions we had without hesitation. He provided a seamless and flawless experience. Will absolutely be returning for another visit any time i am in the area.
Our visit was an expensive disappointment. After much anticipation, two of our four steaks were overcooked; the side dishes were bland; and the back "wine" room had a distinct, unpleasant musty odor. The only positive comment I can make is that the service (Sean) was excellent. Oh, and the oysters were tasty. We won't be returning.
Excellent food, service in a very intimate atmosphere
Heath, our server, was great as was the meal! We will definitely go back for more!
Our dinner was excellent. I loved my salmon. I was not as impressed with the presentation on my dish, but the salmon was one of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Truly cooked to perfection. My husband loved his steak, grilled Pittsburgh. Creamed spinach was great and I don't like spinach that much!
I feel like the restaurant is missing some artwork. The booth we were seated at was kind of dark. I thought a piece of funky art with some lighting would have warmed up the table.
The best steak place is St. Petersburg. I will definitely be back.
First time eating here, after recommendation. The filet was superb, but everything else was okay. Our server, young lady, brown hair, and glasses was the best part of the experience.
Our dinner and the service were both perfect!
First time there. Overall thought food and service were very good. Maybe a little pricey after adding in “add ons” like sauces and such and side dishes. Total bill with tip was $150 for two with two glasses of wine and two small filets. Steaks were good and cooked as directed. The twice baked potatoes were also good. Service was outstanding and attentive. Parking was easy and not congested. Convenient to the Mahaffey Theatre. I’d definitely go back!
Amazing all around. The dry aged steak was a real treat and everything else we had was equally delicious. Our server was so helpful without being pushy (wish I could remember his name but he was great!) and the roses at our table were the perfect touch. Thank you Rococo for making our valentine’s day celebration special.
