Rocky's of Northville
Great Lakes Fish & Seafood as well as,
Pastas, Chicken & Steaks
Raw Bar and Oysters
This was a repeat visit for dinner. Rocky's is a restaurant we enjoy. They did not disappoint this time either. Service was great, food was delicious, portion size is appropriate and they have been featuring Michigan craft brews. Overall good value for the money paid. We will return
Food was just ok - nothing to rave about and I didn't collect my reward points and can't figure out why?
Would recommend and try again!!!
Always a great meal!!
Even though we made reservations 4 hours ahead for our anniversary dinner we kind of expected a nice warm inviting table with some coziness. Instead we were seated at a table for four next to a party for twenty. Seemed loud. When we checked in the host said to another person which I overheard "ok we're screwed" One room had linen on table and we were seated at a table like a cheap chain steak house. Food good but waitress seemed stressed, overworked for her table assignment. But, she was pleasant and polite.
Service was personable, helpful and attentive in other words, outstanding! Food was good but not the quality that I expected base on the referral I received and menu pricing.
We will visit again as everyone has an off night.
Review will be updated after next visit.
Hostess tried to put us in the bar area twice and we had to insist on being in the dining room which at the time was only half full and we had reservations! She was not the friendliest hostess. They were short of help but once we got waited on it went good. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was good as usual.
My husband and I for our 15year anniversary. Had a wonderful meal. Our server Staci was excellent. Will come again.
Tim the General manager was very gracious. The Lake Perch was very tasty. overall experience I'd say was a 20 at least. Laura has been going to Rocky's for over 25 years!! Never had a bad meal there.
Thank You so much Tim,
Cathy Watson and Laura Lee
Excellent service and terrific food. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Always enjoy it
It was good - as it usually is! We had the cod entree and the salmon salad. Rocky's has the best bread basket around.
Food and Service were great! Asking for special accomodations for celebrating 4 birthdays with person at the front and person seating us was aweful!!! Very unacomodating and rude!
Ordered Black bean soup with no sour cream but it came with sour cream anyways.. Ordered a filet with no onion rings on top.. no vegetables and extra potato. It arrived with onion rings on top, a ton of vegetables and no extra potato.
When the waitress brought it back a second time it still had all the vegetables and no extra potato.
Great service. Some of the best service that I have had in restaurant in a long time. The food was excellent as well. The Trout and Swordfish were cook perfect. Don’t forget the Bread Pudding. Top notch!
Food was ok not great. Waitress not very attentive. Had to ask for water refills. They should have been filled without asking. Drinks too a very long time to receive. We celebrated 4 bdays. It would have been nice to receive complimentary dessert to help celebrate. The 6 of us could have chose to go anywhere but chose Rockys. I'm very dissapointed.
While my husband’s sister was visiting from Germany her one wish was to enjoy a meal with lobster. Luckily, I had received an email that mentioned Rocky’s having a lobster special. We went and she thoroughly enjoyed her lobster !
We were pleasantly surprised by our meals at Rocky's. Our entrees were excellent (walleye and steak). The only thing lacking was the service. Our waitress was a bit on the slow side, but we didn't let it ruin our meal. Nice place for a special dinner.
Great dinner wonderful service! Ben our waiter was great!
Fantastic meal with my wife. Great food great service. Love this place
Outstanding meals...all prepared to perfection.
Went before our play at the Tipping Point Theater. There were 3 of us and all our meals were outstanding !
Ben was our server and did an excellent job !
Place was packed. Good job with my group of eight. Bread took 40 minutes but food arrived quick and it was great.
Nice family owned business that has been there a while, it looks a little "dated" but added to the appeal. There was a family type interaction with staff which was nice to see. We had two different seafood dinners and both were excellently cooked and sides very good.
Rocky’s is our favorite restaurant, we are never disappointed.
Generally have a great experience here but was underwhelmed recently. Service was very slow (they were busy), however, ordered a Jack Daniels Manhattan which was more vermouth the bourbon and didn't finish it. Couldn't catch our waitress to complain because she was so busy. This is unusual for Rockys as they normally perform up to expectation and will give them a pass this time.
Great place we go here once a week
Awesome meal once again. Service and food was outstanding.
We are at Rocky’s at least once a month if not by ourselves we have invited other friends! Always good, great Belvedere Martinis..can be a bit noisy but not over bearing!! If you like Frog’s Legs hop over!!
I had A great birthday dinner! The service was great! The food was hot, the presentation was great and the food was delicious!
Always good, a go to place. I go here often and never disappointed. Wine was just right , pork chop was perfect.
Ordered the scrod, porkchop, and salmon spinach salad. We enjoyed all three entrees. The rolls are too delicious - it's challenging to just eat one.
Had family of 12 , there for my birthday. Waitress was outstanding, she anticipated our needs, served kids first, great food!!
I ordered the pork chop, which I have had before, and it was so tough and dry I asked the waitress for a sharper knife - hint hint - and what she gave me was a bigger knife. It didn’t make the pork chop more tender or tasty. Also my wife ordered the potatoe encrusted whitefish, which she has enjoyed before, and she said it was not as firm or tasty as she recalled. The green beans on both our plates were too eldentia.
The food was good as it usually is as we are frequent diners. We enjoy heir Gazpacho Soup, Martha Vineyards Salad, Shrimp Casino and White Fish. The issues we ran into on our most recent visit was
mainly the service. It is true that when our waitress first appeared we ordered our drinks but said we were not ready to order, however, I asked for rolls. When she brought the drinks, I asked again for rolls, to no avail. She appeared again asking if we were ready to order we were just beginning to look at the menu. Once we ordered we finally received the rolls. The meal itself was good, when it arrived. I had requested a carryout order which I ordered and it took a very long time. It was 2 salads and gazpacho soup. I had requested bread, she said, of course, and of course, it was not in the bag when I arrived home. When we first ordered drinks we requested separate bills, when the bill finally arrived, it was on one bill. Therefore, the redo of the bill took a very long time. It subsequently took a long time to pick up the credit cards and return them. The restaurant was not crowded it was after 1:15 when we ordered, it did not look as if they were understaffed but there was some issue, that's for sure. I will try o avid the waitress we had the next time we go in. I choose not to mention the waitress's name hoping she was just having a bad day and this is not an ongoing problem.
Excellent food and service as usual. Just wish I had remembered not to sit in the south section, which is very loud. Noise cannot be absorbed in that room.
Some of the tables were a bit too close together. At one point I could hear their conversation better than the one at my own table. The screaming children and parents who were ignoring them didn’t help the atmosphere. I know that can’t be helped by the restaurant, but it will make a difference when I make the next restaurant choice.
The food is always excellent. I have never had a bad meal here!! Loved our server Nicki.
Rocky's has never disappointed, whether it's lunch or dinner.
My wife and I ate here for our 10 year anniversary. The ambiance reminded me of a scene from a 90's movie. They worked hard to create a nicer place to eat but everyone showed up in their Hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts. To each is their own I guess.
The music playing in the background was today's country hits which isn't what you would expect to find at a Steak/Raw restaurant. I found that odd and mildly distracting.
The best part of the experience was the food. I enjoyed a few of their raw oysters while my wife loved her side salad. We both enjoyed our meals (salmon and short ribs) as it was prepared and presented well. For the price, I was expecting something special but that wasn't there. It was good but not special.
I would eat at Rocky's again because the food was good but I now know what to expect and what not to expect.
