Rocky's of Northville
Great Lakes Fish & Seafood as well as,
Pastas, Chicken & Steaks
Raw Bar and Oysters
Nice family owned business that has been there a while, it looks a little "dated" but added to the appeal. There was a family type interaction with staff which was nice to see. We had two different seafood dinners and both were excellently cooked and sides very good.
Generally have a great experience here but was underwhelmed recently. Service was very slow (they were busy), however, ordered a Jack Daniels Manhattan which was more vermouth the bourbon and didn't finish it. Couldn't catch our waitress to complain because she was so busy. This is unusual for Rockys as they normally perform up to expectation and will give them a pass this time.
Great place we go here once a week
Awesome meal once again. Service and food was outstanding.
We are at Rocky’s at least once a month if not by ourselves we have invited other friends! Always good, great Belvedere Martinis..can be a bit noisy but not over bearing!! If you like Frog’s Legs hop over!!
I had A great birthday dinner! The service was great! The food was hot, the presentation was great and the food was delicious!
Always good, a go to place. I go here often and never disappointed. Wine was just right , pork chop was perfect.
Ordered the scrod, porkchop, and salmon spinach salad. We enjoyed all three entrees. The rolls are too delicious - it's challenging to just eat one.
Had family of 12 , there for my birthday. Waitress was outstanding, she anticipated our needs, served kids first, great food!!
I ordered the pork chop, which I have had before, and it was so tough and dry I asked the waitress for a sharper knife - hint hint - and what she gave me was a bigger knife. It didn’t make the pork chop more tender or tasty. Also my wife ordered the potatoe encrusted whitefish, which she has enjoyed before, and she said it was not as firm or tasty as she recalled. The green beans on both our plates were too eldentia.
The food was good as it usually is as we are frequent diners. We enjoy heir Gazpacho Soup, Martha Vineyards Salad, Shrimp Casino and White Fish. The issues we ran into on our most recent visit was
mainly the service. It is true that when our waitress first appeared we ordered our drinks but said we were not ready to order, however, I asked for rolls. When she brought the drinks, I asked again for rolls, to no avail. She appeared again asking if we were ready to order we were just beginning to look at the menu. Once we ordered we finally received the rolls. The meal itself was good, when it arrived. I had requested a carryout order which I ordered and it took a very long time. It was 2 salads and gazpacho soup. I had requested bread, she said, of course, and of course, it was not in the bag when I arrived home. When we first ordered drinks we requested separate bills, when the bill finally arrived, it was on one bill. Therefore, the redo of the bill took a very long time. It subsequently took a long time to pick up the credit cards and return them. The restaurant was not crowded it was after 1:15 when we ordered, it did not look as if they were understaffed but there was some issue, that's for sure. I will try o avid the waitress we had the next time we go in. I choose not to mention the waitress's name hoping she was just having a bad day and this is not an ongoing problem.
Excellent food and service as usual. Just wish I had remembered not to sit in the south section, which is very loud. Noise cannot be absorbed in that room.
Some of the tables were a bit too close together. At one point I could hear their conversation better than the one at my own table. The screaming children and parents who were ignoring them didn’t help the atmosphere. I know that can’t be helped by the restaurant, but it will make a difference when I make the next restaurant choice.
The food is always excellent. I have never had a bad meal here!! Loved our server Nicki.
Rocky's has never disappointed, whether it's lunch or dinner.
My wife and I ate here for our 10 year anniversary. The ambiance reminded me of a scene from a 90's movie. They worked hard to create a nicer place to eat but everyone showed up in their Hawaiian shirts and cargo shorts. To each is their own I guess.
The music playing in the background was today's country hits which isn't what you would expect to find at a Steak/Raw restaurant. I found that odd and mildly distracting.
The best part of the experience was the food. I enjoyed a few of their raw oysters while my wife loved her side salad. We both enjoyed our meals (salmon and short ribs) as it was prepared and presented well. For the price, I was expecting something special but that wasn't there. It was good but not special.
I would eat at Rocky's again because the food was good but I now know what to expect and what not to expect.
Went here on a Saturday. Stopped at the bar before our reservations. The drinks were made well and quickly. Once seated, we got a couple appetizers, the brussel sprouts and the Oysters Rockefeller. They were both cooked well. Our dinners were served only after we had finished apps and were all fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive. We had a wonderful time and will return in the future.
Solid apps, service, and menu. Conversation volume would benefit from acoustic tiles in the outer "lodge like" seating.
We had an amazing experience! Neither of us had been there before and were already itching to go back. Karina was an amazing waitress, she gave us the best service we have ever gotten from a restaurant. The food was amazing as well!
Very nice dinner but the large backroom was quite cold on a 90 degree summer day.
fine the very good at resonable prices! the frog legs are outstanding and not many places ha e them.
The food was way too salty, particularly the Fruit del Mer. We unlikely will return.
The atmosphere was inviting. Our server was very friendly and didn't rush us to order. We enjoyed the entrees especially the perch, potato crusted whitefish and the salads and soup were delicious!
Everything was Gr8: Nikki the server was professional, efficient & FRIENDLY...food was delicious, esp. the mile high blueberry pie! & we were seated @ the table we requested. Thanks
This is a very consistent establishment. While the food selection is limited, when compared to other area restaurants, everything is always prepared in a manner that is comparable to much more expensive restaurants. The bar and raw bar are also exceptional and it is usually easy to get a reservation through Open Table. The staff is very attentive and helpful and the noise levels are low enough to enable conversations with others st the table.
Normally one of our favorite places. However on last visit we had a surly waitress and a very bad table where the servers kept bumping our guest. The food is very good, with a menu as interesting as their other location (Steve and Rocky’s) in Novi.
Our server was great, in fact we left more than a 20% tip, however it was evident that this establishment does not serve a lot of people of other ethnic groups. Some of the customers stared at us to the point of discomfort. Glad we had a chance to try it, but not planning on going back.
Had a wonderful dinner at Rocky's. The frog legs are fantastic.
The food was very good and our waitress Anya was attentive.
We were seated by the hostess. Then no one came to our table for over 10 minutes. No water or no menus.
Finally another server asked if anyone said hi yet or had come to the table. We said no and then she said ok she was saying hi and our server would be there soon. Our server came and everything else went pretty good. I asked for more water but she forget. When I caught her again I got a refill but she didn't refill anyone else and they wanted it. We had a table of four and were there right at 5:00pm before it got too busy. I don't know why when you do the online reservation they ask if it is a special occasion. I wrote birthday online and mentioned to the server it was my birthday but I didn't even get a "Happy Birthday" from her. I am not sure the restaurant has any special birthday offer but if they do we didn't receive it. I don't if the server had too many tables to take care but the service was just ok. The food was excellent especially the blueberry pie for dessert!
Great food. Had scallops and they were scrumptious
We have been going to Rocky's since it opened, and prior. The food has always been good, and lately the choices have been expanded. It is a great place for a meal with friends.
Just a great experience all away around. Rocky’s is just a wonderful place to realax and enjoy life. We entertained out of town friends and they really enjoyed Rocky’s also.
Wonderful whitefish dinner with a friend.
Everything was delicious as usual. Never had a bad meal at Rocky’s.
Attended her for our Wedding Anniversary, the food was wonderful. The Service was great!
Our waitress, Monday July 16 at 6pm (I forgot her name) was a gem!!! She was very helpful in explaining food choices, meeting the cooking needs of my friend (fried instead of baked fish). We were seated by the window, making it a great atmosphere, lighting, for conversation and reading the menu. This is my third time at Rocky's, second time for dinner. Enjoyed the whole experience.
Very nice waiter. Did not rush.
Food was amazing. Chef willing to make to specifications. Service was very attentive. Couldn’t guarantee a booth with our reservation so celebrating an anniversary was compromised by noisy neighbors but appropriate value for upscale experience.
Dinning with friends and family !
