Food was very good. While our waiter was friendly and pleasant, for some reason there was a problem getting drinks from the bar. We were there 2 1/2 hrs. Total for a bottle of wine and dinner. The manager had to call in extra help to assist. Once that person arrived, they expedited our service. We did not complain but they gave us a discount because of the slow service. Management came by our table at least 3 times to apologize. Hopefully, it was just a one-time issue. We enjoyed the food a lot. I would still recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
The waitress, waiter, and manager were all friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious from the fingerling potatoes to the brûléed cheesecake.
I would definitely go again.
Casual dinning and nice venue. Wait staff was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious. Good selection but mainly typical restaurant food - steak, salmon, etc.
This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. We ordered drinks (3 sodas, water, and draft beer). Waitress came back with sodas and ready to take order. we asked about the beer, she said she is still waiting on the bar to get it. Took our orders and we ordered a bottle of wine. 2 kids meals came out. Still no beer or wine. One child had burger, it was fine. The other got mac n cheese. It didn't taste remotely like mac n cheese, there was no cheese on it and they charged $7 for this inedible excuse for food. Kids finished their meals and we are still waiting on first beer! Next, 2 of the 3 entrees are served. Wait staff didn't seem curious that 4 of the 5 people had food. STILL no beer or wine. I walk to the bar only to find that they are out of the beer my husband ordered. She brought out French Onion Soup for my husband and I but it was actually burned and tasted so bad, we couldn't eat it. We told her and she just said "oh" and left it there with no offer to substitute or make better in any way. She finally brought the wine, but never asked if my husband wanted another type beer. He went to the bar, no wait, and got a beer and paid for it. I STILL did not have my food. I asked her where my dish was and she said, "Oh, what did you order again?" I told her and she said she would check on it. She came back, said someone else must have taken it and they are making it again. After my family had finished their meal I told her to forget it I don't even want it anymore. We get the bill. She charged us for the bad soups even though they were supposed to be included as a side with our entrée, charged us for the beer that she never delivered! The bottle of wine on the menu said $38, but they charged us $40! Spoke to mgr, they took off 1 entrée of our bill and 1 soup and still charged us over $100 for worst meal and experience EVER! DO NOT GO TO THIS DUMP!
Our server Leslie was phenomenal.
Steak was very good. Service excellent. We been several times and never very busy. Good hotel food. My only complient is they don`t have any choice of side dishes. Mixed veggies and rice. Nothing else. That needs to change to get any more stars from me.
We went for a nice upscale birthday meal. We both had the special seafood entree. Pecan batter on shrimp was very brown, salmon a little tough/over cooked. Rolls were hard/left over - replacements were better. KJ Wine was very pricy at 3-4 times their cost. No B-day acknowledgement. Our 3rd try - all disappointing. So we will not be back or recommending to others.
Hotel restaurant so there you go
It is a horrible restaurant, do not go. We waited for 25 minuets and no one ever came to take our order. Poorly managed and it is at a cheap hotel. I go to very good restaurants on a regular basis, this was near the worst.
Over priced, poor food quality, over cooked steak twice, only set side items and no other choices. Better food at Wendy's.
The chicken bruschetta, the mashed potatoes, and the cheesecake for Queen Fest Week were delicious. The service from Jorge and Domanique were superb. We will be back!!!
We both enjoyed our salads and entrees, but both found our side vegetables to be over-cooked. However, we decided we would both try the Grille again sometime.
Nice place, only people there! Still decent food, a bit pricey but it is a hotel!
I made a reservation online and arrived to find out they were not open until 5pm. Another family was there as well who had the same misfortune. I think the reservations site should have allowed to be made if they were not open. I was unable to rate them because I didn’t have the opportunity to eat there.
I would love to say the food was great but I wouldn’t know because the restaurant was CLOSED at my reservation time. They are not open for lunch despite the fact that Open Table offered specific lunchtime slots!! Very disappointed as it ruined our Father’s Day lunch plans.
Went there for our anniversary. We had a spend $50 and get back $25 certificate which was great. The service and food were great. Will be back.
We have been dining there for years; however, this year was not a Good Experience; Food Quality, Taste, Tempsture, Presentation All way Downgraded... this used to be a 3-4 Star Caliber Restaurant.. What happened??????
When I arrived for my reservation, the restaurant was closed. I was not very pleased.
Came for dinner. Was seated and no one ever came to serve me. I got up, and left.
Last minute Mother's Day Brunch. Hostess got us in after seating reservation crowd, great table, fantastic server, more variety than I imagined - all good. All for a reasonable price
Wife thinks I'm a genius and wants to book early for next year. 👍
Great service, good value. Rib eye special was awesome.
Nestled in Concord, NC Embassy Suites this restaurant was a great date site. A little noisy as it was next to the Hotel Bar and near the Pool and outside patio. But the service was outstanding and the ambiance and wine list were nice.
Delmonaco Ribeye was a big let down especially for the price. Service was decent but we were one of maybe four groups dining there on a Saturday evening!
Had dinner for Valentines Day. Menu options were ok. Would have rather ordered off their menu with specials for desserts
First time dining there. For was very good, however selection was limited, however this was a special holiday menu Will definitely return possible will try lunch also
We had lunch and the selection was limited but the food quality was very good. Service was attentive. Atmosphere is typical of a hotel restaurant.
Food was great and service was also. Very noisy in the next area over. ( bar)
This was my first time at Rocky River Grille in the Embassy Suites Charlotte-Concord to eat. I did not know it was in a hotel when I booked the table for two. There is a convention center attached to the hotel and it just so happens on this Saturday there is a gymnastic competition going on with a thousand little girls and their parents in the lobby, restaurants etc. so the noise level was very high and their was NO Parking available. We had arrived early and after driving around for a few minuets we found a spot to park, far away from the entrance. Once seated we had a nice table in a room they opened up for us. The waiter sas apologetic about the crowd and got out drink order. We ordered a Spinach Artichoke dip to share and Filet of beef and I ordered the Ribeye. Food was cooked just right and as the room filled up with the overflow the noise went up to a little girls giggling and adults getting snookered a little bit. Any other time it might have been worth it but this night is not one to remember.
Food was average, after they got our order right. Overpriced. Gives off a very convention center/business lunch & dinner vibe. Not our cup of tea. Pass!
Food and service was excellent. Good price. Nice place.
Our waitress was outstanding. The food was mediocre
The food was tasty but took forever to get to us. Granted there was a large group that came in just as we were seated and it put a burden on the kitchen. I ordered the delmonico steak cooked medium and it came a little charred. My husband’s French onion soup was fabulous, I highly recommend it.The bacon wrapped jalapeños were awesome and my spinach salad was very fresh and tasty. Our waiter was very nice, although I wish he had kept up with us a little bit more on why our food was so slow in coming. It would also have been much better ambience if they had turn down the overhead lights and lit the candles that were on the tables along with turning the heat up just a bit more, it was quite cold in there. My husband and I were there for our anniversary dinner. If the food and hadn’t been so good it would have been a miserable experience.
Food was very good. However, relative to the few people in the dining room, service was very slow.
We booked this reservation for our 24th wedding anniversary and I said as much when I made it. However, not only was there NO mention of it at the restaurant, they tried to seat us at a square table literally feet away from the passing traffic. The ONLY reason I would recommend this restaurant is because it is the only option for “fine dining” in this area. If you don’t expect much, you won’t be disappointed. We did get to hear all about our server’s pregnancy. So at least it was special for her.
We where in Charlotte staying at the Embassy suites for my daughters 16th birthday. We reserved a table for 15 at the restaurant. When we arrived the staff was great getting us seated quickly. The waiter was excellent, singing to my daughter for her birthday and making everything great for her 16th birthday. The food was delicious and everything was prepared perfect for our guest. I would highly recommend this restaurant for casual dinning for any special event you may be planning.
I had the best experience here. The staff was amazing. It was my daughter sweet 16 Birthday dinner and she had a ball. They went above and beyond, the entire party was extremely impressed thank you thank you thank you
The service was fine, but the food was terrible. This restaurant is in an embassy suites
My only complaint is the food. It was pricey for the limited selection and size of food. The table and scenery we had for my party was amazing.
The food was good, no real complaints there. The price was insanely expensive, $250 for drinks and dinner for four people; no appetizers, no dessert. Dining room was closed - had to eat in the bar paying an insane premium because it was past 5:00pm.
Good food (sirloin and filet), good service (warm and welcoming), great night!
