   Great service. Great food. 2 of us ordered the BBQ ribs with 2 sides .. DELISH!! Waitress was so good . I had a peach martini made with rumchata. It was strong and delicious. !

    My family and I attended Rockwoods Grill & Bar for their Easter meal. It was hosted in their banquet hall, and was much more of an experience than we were expecting. The room was lit up and draped beautifully like you’d expect for a wedding or event, they had candles at the tables, silverware was wrapped in an cloth napkin, the tables had white linen tablecloths, and they had a nice soft music playing over head. All of the staff we made contact with were very helpful and friendly. We started off the meal with a delicious salad and some fresh bread. The bread was amazing! Instead of salad the kids had a fruit bowl, which they enjoyed. After that the Easter meal was served which was a delicious pineapple glazed ham, carrots, asparagus, and au gratin potatoes. Everyone commented how delicious the potatoes were. Somehow we still managed to have room for the dessert that was offered - there were 3 choices to pick from: chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake, or carrot cake. Between our group of 10, someone tried each option, and everyone enjoyed their desserts very much. Our family thought this was a great place to eat, and we would definitely come back again

    We always love Rockwoods, but it is especially nice for a holiday like Easter. We love having a plated meal rather than a buffet. The food was delicious and generous, the service was excellent, the pacing was perfect, and the atmosphere was lovely.

    We had a table of 8 and we saw our waitress three times the entire meal. She never refilled the water(which was gone 20 minutes into our meal), did not bring more bread, didn't ask if we wanted drink refills and didn't ask if we were ready for dessert for about 20 minutes after we were all done eating. We had to grab the attention of another server to get our waitress to come over to give us our tab. Will never go back for a holiday meal, very disappointing and the food was average at best. The desserts were served in plastic cups and the strawberry shortcake was dry.

    I've been to Rockwoods several times, and it has always been a great experience. Very classy. We always have eaten in the dining room (the bar is also an option), and the food has (almost) always been great. Last night my son thought his Texas BBQ chicken was excellent. My husband also praised his brisket sandwich. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and was less happy. The pastrami was thick, not shaved thin as mentioned on the menu. In fact, I thought that brisket had been substituted. I could hardly find the mustard, and there were only two tiny pickles. After mentioning this, I was given extra mustard and some slaw (which I had chosen over more pickles); these additions really helped, but it certainly wasn't the kind of pastrami sandwich I'm used to. This is the only time I've been unhappy at Rockwoods, and I want to emphasize that I won't hesitate to go back. The service is excellent.

    Normally Rockwood's is excellent. However, last night must've been an "off" night. Ordered my burger medium and it came out pretty rare and the service seemed a lot slower than usual. I did notice that the bread in the bread basket was cut a lot thinner than previous visits. It didn't seem overly busy, which leads me to believe that is was just an off night.

    We were seated right away. Drink orders were taken quickly. Appetizers came out at a good time before our meal. Our food orders didn’t take long to prepare. Food was great. Will go back again.

    I ordered a very well done steak. Emphasized i wanted it burned to a crisp and the steak we got still had some pink in the middle. We took it home and cooked it some more and it was amazing.

    The server was very friendly and attentive but we were stuck in a back room with families who had noisy and hyper kids. It totally killed our night and we couldn’t wait to get out of there! My husband and I were hoping for quiet and romantic night but it was exactly the opposite! What a bummer. Why would they seat a 50 year old couple there and not in the nice dining room portion?     Valentines Day was our first visit to the restaurant and when we were being seated, we were brought back to a dark room with black curtains that were pulled shut and it was very depressing looking, nothing that screamed romance on Valentines Day. We ask to be moved to the main restaurant and we were, which was very nice of them to do for us. The service and food was wonderful! Our only disappointment was the dessert we shared, the cinnamon roll bread pudding was awful.

    The music would have been nice had it been in the background instead of having to talk over it. As more people were seated, the music was turned down, which was nice. The food was great. It was hot, tasty and prepared as requested. There are very few restaurants around that do not have TVs or music all over. This was nice.

    Server was fantastic. Our burgers and salad were good. Disappointed in appetizer; we ordered brussels. The brussels were purely steamed, not roasted, with three brussel tips blackened. Looked as if they used a torch. It was topped with what tasted like pancake syrup and was runny. We enjoyed ourselves regardless of the multiple crying kids surrounding us. It was 7:30 and we did not expect so many little kids; we have our own 3 kids so we are aware of the potential noise. Personally, if we return for date night, I am reserving the bar.

    We have eaten at Rockwoods many times with a good experience every time. On Open Table we asked for a table in a quiet area, knowing there are such areas. Besides the area by the bar, we were seated in the next noisiest with tables only and a low ceiling. Two of the meals were excellent (Walleye and Pulled pork, although the coleslaw side was the smallest I have ever seen) The gals ordered Beef Brisket which my wife had ordered previously and thought it was excellent. This time about half of each cut were mostly fat, very disappointing. My "yes" recommendation below comes with the qualification to order carefully, ask questions.

    My husband had the brisket and it was so tasty and tender and not dry the way sometimes it can get. I had a New York strip that was cooked just the way I ordered it, to perfection! Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly.
