We thought we would try the Rockwood Grill for Sunday Breakfast Buffet. We thought at the JW Marriott it would be an old style buffet with a huge table filled with lobster and shrimp and all kinds of goodies. It was a typical hotel buffet with an omelet station and a sweets table. The food was good and the ambience a 10. We sat outside under the enclosure near the lake and watched the black swans swimming while we ate. The setting is magnificent and overall we would say the food was good.

Literally everything about our experience was fantastic - primarily due to our phenomenal waitress, Elena. She was so kind, attentive, and gave wonderful tips for our upcoming trip to Italy. The auxiliary support staff are also so attentive and nice. The food, from appetizers to dessert, were delicious. We had bacon wrapped dates, focaccia bread, steak (filet mignon), ravioli, garlic mashed potatoes, and a blueberry lemon drop martini. For dessert, we had chocolate cake & macaroons. Oh! And the peppermint tea is sooooo flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is a bit of a trek from the outside parking lot but worth the walk for sure. The decor is simple but warm, and the seating was very comfortable. There's plenty of space if you want to host a large group, or plenty of little tables for just an intimate dinner. We are coming back in a couple weeks for a birthday dinner (today was an anniversary dinner). It's our new favorite restaurant. :)

Took advantage of the breakfast buffet. A bit pricey at $38 per person, but the omelette and waffle station made up for the cost if eat more than one omelette.and waffle; which were cooked to order.

My husband and I wanted to a nice simple anniversary dinner , i was on the app and was intrigued by the photos , was kinda hard to find but once we were there it was amazing , our server was knowledgeable and knew everything that was needed to be known on that menu and then some , the service the food the all around experience will go in our anniversary book as a beautiful memory ! Been here years ago . The main fine dining restaurant for JW Marriott , you expect a lovely dining room , amazing food , good menu Options. Our experience … decor was Old and badly needed an update ! food poor , artichoke hard and under done , 49$ halibut was chewy and hard ! Very little menu choices ! Server : Amazing Service ! Had our artichoke cooked more Switched halibut for salmon ( was good, not great ) . Service was lovely but sadly all else was sub par

Booking was difficult, then only to find out it was hardly busy. Why?? Servers were very good. Food was good but not for the price paid. Don't expect anything fancy or real gourmet.The baked items were not as good- while looked good , they were soft and moist. Beautiful outdoor seating area, but very hot after 9 am or so.

Ate dinner here while staying at the hotel. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The wait staff was very attentive and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend the calamari appetizer, which has olives and artichoke pieces as an unexpected delicious bonus!

Elena, our Italian server, made the evening. Such a charming person. JW Marriott’s restaurant, the setting was great looking out onto their lagoon, decor was unexciting but any reservations we had about the experience were quickly overcome by way above hotel quality food - bravo to the chef!!! Artichoke app was unique, tasty and a nice item to share. Fries were an off menu item that really rocked. Lamb T-bone (lamb chops)- were moist, nicely grilled and done perfectly. Will be back!

We had the most wonderful time Sunday. Lunch for our family of 10 was really excellent. Our server, Lula, and her helpers made the experience memorable and we will certainly return. The food servings were plentiful and delicious. Mixed drinks and beer selections were great. The menu is so diverse. There is something for everyone’s taste and diet including the children. Easy free public parking in the garage. Well maintained cleanliness. Again, thank you Lula for your great service.

This is one of our favorite restaurants which is the reason why I chose this location for my birthday dinner, and lunch. Normally the staff is so amazing, caring and passionate about everything they do. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation and checked in at the front. Steven the manager told the hostess to make us wait, yet seated another party of young ladies without a reservation at the table we had reserved. Long story short we were not seated until 7:55- keep in mind we arrived early, checked in, left notes it was my birthday and yet we’re tossed to the side while other parties were seated ahead of us. During the waiting process he tried to push us to sit outside while it was 95 degrees out, and then ask if we wanted to sit in a booth.When we asked why we’re other parties without a reservation seated in front of us he said oh no we sat them at a booth yet when we were finally seated close to 30 minutes past our reservation time the party of girls he took in front of us were sat at the exact table we had requested. Super disappointing experience. Elena our server tried to make up for the inconvenience by being great as she always is but it was just very disappointing and disheartening to be treated like that in any dining experience yet alone on my birthday when we just dined at the restaurant for lunch and for the previous two days in a row. Hope they can correct the issue with Steven as we overheard two other parties complain to their server about being told to wait when they had reservations as well yet other parties were seated in front of them.

Overpriced. Buffet is horrible. Flys on food. Manager would not accommodate a burger order from bar area. Go to Morton’s across the street. You will pay the same price for good food.

If it wasn’t for our amazing waitress, our experience would have been lack luster. The steak was overcooked, our Brussel sprouts were cold and uncooked. But the service was great! I’ve been here several times before and had an amazing experience, I’ll try one more time.

We ordered a medium rare filet mignon but it was completely over cooked and tasted like a very dried medium well. Pasta was tasted like eating not fully cooked flour. They no longer offer a weekend prime rib buffet which was one of the reasons we go to this hotel every year for the past 10 years. Very disappointed.
