RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen showcases the cuisines of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Unlike fusion cuisine, each dish on RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen’s extensive menu is authentic to its country of origin. From the mouth-watering Indian Samosas to the savory Vietnamese Shaking Beef, the entire menu will transport you to a spice-filled, welcoming corner of the globe. No visit to RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen is complete without trying one of the signature desserts prepared in our in-house bakery including our Caramelized Banana Custard Cake and Warm Coconut Doughnuts. Taking our name from an essential ingredient used in Asian cooking, RockSugar Southeast Asian Kitchen was created by restaurateur David Overton and Singapore-raised, New York-trained chef Mohan Ismail.

    Everyone in our group had the tasting menu which was delicious. It took a very long time however to get our drinks after we sat down and it would’ve been nice for us to get at least one of them comped or they could’ve taken off the $5 supplement charge for the beef dish we ordered. There was a mistake on the bill too, we were charged for something that we shouldn’t have been and they took it off. Always look at the bill!

    I did not like the outdoor table due to the traffic noise, especially from motorcycles going by the restaurant. At multiple occasions my business conversation was interrupted due to the high traffic noise.

    was a little disappointed in the service. ordered a nigiri sake for $12 and when it came it was in cordial glass. I asked the server about and she said oh the bottle is a better deal but it is still small. why didn't she tell me to begin with? other sushi restaurants 12 covers the whole bottle. The host did seat me in a great quiet location however! Food was great as usual.

    Took my wife to RockSugar for her birthday. She absolutely loved the look and feel of the restaurant. It is an Asian theme with large art and wood carved tables throughout. It is on the North End of the newly updated Westfield Century City Shopping Center and has a very nice vibe. The service was impeccable with our waiter attentive to my daughter's food allergies. The rib appetizer and calamari were very good and the Princess Shrimp were my favorites. I highly recommend the food and service for whenever you feel like a trip to Asian cuisine on the Westside/Beverly Hills.

    Used to come here every time we visited LA, so several times/year. Loved it... unfortunately something changed this last time... service much less attentive, food was late and so-so. I think they are busy all the time so they are starting to care less... too bad, this is how the slide under usually starts!
