Food was great. I was there on a Sunday for lunch and the noise level was pretty high. Not a place for a quiet conversation. Very casual attire and unique bar!

I used to love rock n fish 3 years ago it was one of the coolest bars to go out in Manhattan Beach before a night of partying with your friends. The food used to be awesome but I'm sad to say last time that I went there a week ago the jambalaya but she used to be my favorite they replaced all of the fresh seafood with what look like cheap store-bought ingredients they used to have large muscles in large shrimp I brag to my friend about how great it was and we were both let down I will never get that dish again and I'm thinking twice before possibly even going back to rock n fish so I hope they read this and improve their menu back to the Glory Days when they were a special restaurant.
Our family loves coming to Rock N Fish and we give their gift cards as gifts to friends. The Louisiana style rock fish entree and the brussel sprout sides did not taste good. With so much competition out there, this needs improvements. The linguini del mar was amazing! It needed more as far as more portions...its on the small side. The crab cake appetizer was really good as well.
This restaurant is highly rated, but we found it to be just okay. Our waiter, however, was very attentive.
We had a blast......celebrated my sister's bday. The bartender made an awesome drink, just for me! It was soooo yummy!

Short wait for a table although we did have a reservation. Server was helpful and enthusiastic in recommendations. Everyone was very happy with their dinner choice. Oysters on the half shell were excellent. Wine choice was wonderful. All in all, it entire experience was great. Can't wait to return!

We have been going to this place for years. Our last dining experience was disappointing. My husband ordered the surf and turf. His steak came out with no lobster. We needed to inform the waitress regarding this. She did apologize and brought it out after our meal was mostly over. No offer to make it right except for an apology.
Had crab cakes and the grilled Mahi Mahi special. Both very tasty.

We were very impressed with the service. The restaurant was a few minutes late seating us for our reservation. Though it was not long, and we were not unset they gave us free calamari as an apology. All of the food we had was excellent. My husband was especially happy with his jambalaya. We would go again though it was very loud for conversation.
Great place and outstanding food!
We went for Valentine's Day and it was perfect. The rockfish and salmon were fantastic. Best cream corn ever. The crab cakes were amazing. Love the Navy Grog. Enjoy Rock 'n Fish on normal days, but had an even better time on date night.
Great as usual. I do recommend the rib-eye and the oysters.
A warm welcome for 6 colleagues for lunch.. service friendly, attentive, memorable. Food very tasty but some portions seemed small compared to others. Very enjoyable time& would return.

Felt welcome from greeting at the front desk all the way through. Sat at the bar for a few minutes just for fun, had a great and engaging bartender. seated at the outdoor patio under ample heaters. Our server was right on with her recommendations and descriptions of the menu options. Highly recommend the N.O. Shrimp if you like spicy and the crusted fish if you don.t

I was a bit apprehensive that this would be too noisy, too young and too casual. It was some of those things but really a terrific and fun spot. Our food was delicious, try the salmon, and our waitress was outstanding. It was a warm Saturday night and we had a lovely window table. It was noisy but really it was fun and appropriate. I will definitely be back.
Be sure to get the green beans!

No matter how many times we go here, we always LOVE the food & drinks. The service is outstanding too. We took out-of-town family for dinner, and all 5 of us were very happy with our order - even the ultra picky people in our party.
Rock'N Fish has been my "GO TO" for 10 years now. 100% of the time when I visited LA, I made it a point to visit Rock'N Fish, and most often I brought a group of people. I've brought no less than 50 people to this restaurant over the years who were all new to experience it. However, after the last 2 experiences we will look elsewhere next time we are in the area.
Our server was fantastic but as a party of 6, three people ordered steak. All 3 were overcooked and sent back. In the 30 times that I've been there, I've ordered New Orleans BBQ Shrimp 100% of the time. The last time I was there, the rice was not fully cooked. During this most recent visit the whole dish was just thrown together .. the shrimp were not standing or arranged around the perimeter as in all the years past. The presentation was very sloppy.
Something has happened to the food quality over the past year or two. It seems there is no attention to detail.
I've always enjoyed Rock'N Fish, but we will try someplace else next time. I was embarrassed this visit that 3 of my colleagues had to send their food back, and others were just average. I'll be back at some point, but it's time to take a break and experience some of the other nearby restaurants.
Started with the Navy Grog - my favorite - has a floater of dark brown rum on the top. We chose the special LA Restaurant Week Menu - two courses $20 - a great deal. The grilled artichoke was great and followed that with the Hibachi teriyaki beef and veggies on a stick, with sautéed spinach and jasmine rice. A great meal, especially for the price.
We always love every meal that we have at Rock N Fish. It is our go-to for any special occasion or date. The food, service and environment is always perfect!
Very good food. Our waitress was outstanding. The prices are a bit high. The bar is cramped.
We were there for a birthday, they had run out of a few options. The server seemed like she may have had too many tables to serve as she always seemed flustered, but she worked hard, just didn’t see that each table got the same level of service.
Food was amazing ! Thank you for the special birthday dessert at the end for our Son! So nice and it was so delicious!!! We are regulars and love Rock N Fish !!!
