Like the original Manhattan Beach location, there are two different areas available for private party use: A mezzanine dining area overlooking the main dining area which comfortably seats up to 45 guests or an enclosed patio area located in the front of the restaurant which can seat up to 60 guests.View Private Dining Details
Good as usual along with service ..noisy as usual but we still keep coming back
Service was great. Food was just average. Steak wasn’t very good and lobster was a bit chewy.
Overall great experience.
ate oysters/ got really sick the same night ... I will not go back there again.
Føod was amazing and quick service...
Gotta have the New Orleans Shrimp, sweet and hot, very good. Nice selection of beer on tap
This is a bar atmosphere and décor serving a variety of food. They do offer fresh fish as their daily special. I ordered the Crab Cakes, two full size cakes containing more meat than filling. I was actually suprised at the size, one side was burnt abd flavor can be inhanced with the sauce. The Flat Iron Steak was ok; I had to use sreak sauce. I ordered medium do to the, size. The macaroni and cheese was dry, asparagus plentfu, large and good. The best thing about my dining experience was the wait staff and drinks. This is a bar environment that grabs your attention with seafood item. I would not dine there anytime soon. If you dine there ask for upstais dining. This place is loud as well.
First time. Great menu. Good food. Friendly service.
Most always have a good experience with the food and the service. When it doesn't turn out quite right, they take it back and make it good. They are charging for bread but they gave it to us as a complimentary addition to our meal as we go before every Lakers game that we attend. We are pretty regular diners so they decided to "treat" us. Reservations help so you don't have to wait.
it's noisy but that's OK because it's a sports crowd.
Before Lakers. Good healthy choices
Went to celebrate two birthdays. Had reservation which made it very easy and we were seated quickly. Service was fine. One small compliant was that one of our side orders was brought out late. Other than that everything was fine and I look forward to our next visit.
Unfortunately, I never ate since my order was not prepared correctly twice. I ordered the steak frites well done and it came out medium rare and the medium well. At that point I declined to have them to correct it yet again.
Because of the location there is about a $5-$10 up charge for most dishes in comparison to what the price should be for the item. My friend asked for a side of jalapeños for his tacos and was charged $1.75 for jalapeños.
The food is good, the place is fun the location is the real reason to eat there. Great to go before a game at Staples Center. But make sure to tell them you need to get out in time. It can get crowded and slow.
Great food and ambiance before the LA Kings game. They were very accommodating, being a few minutes late for our reservation. Would definitely go back!
Good food! Love catch of the day! The service was great!
The food is delicious, wish they would bring back King Crab Legs....
The servers are all very friendly, but every time we are there they seem overwhelmed. Maybe they are understaffed?
They now started charging $2 for bread & butter.
The ambiance is full of energy.
Waited 20 mins just for some bread, which they now charge for. Another 15 after that for our main course. Terrible service.
Good food, quick service.
Fantastic place to dine before a Staples Center event! Service is really amazing and great food!
Always eat at Rock n Fish when we go to Lakers game. It's a busy place but reservations help. They ask you not to stay past two hours.
They are now charging 1.99 for bread. That's pretty cheap of them. Their bread is sour dough with nice crust and is delicious. But they just started charging for bread in March. Bummer! Bad decision for them. Disappointed in them doing this.
My salmon tasted like it had some mold on it but after i called it to their attention, they did substitute it for me with another Salmon. The second one was fine. I have never had a problem before and have eaten there over 20 times.
I absolutely love this location of ROCK N FISH. I recommended this restaurant because we came to a concert in the area. I had ordered my salmon the normal, cooked. It came blackened. I sent it back....my next plate came like RAW...I had to send it back again, and decided not to try anymore. This normally doesn't happen....At least the party I was with all enjoyed their food; and that was my main concern because I recommended this restaurant. Our server, Justin, was just delightful and caring. Management knew about the situation and were very concerned that I didn't get to eat. I wish they had offered me a gift card for my next meal...should I come back.
I was so sad that they took my favorite salmon pesto pasta dish off the menu. Very unfortunate.
They never acknowledged the special occasion. It seemed like they were rushing us to leave.
Soooo good!! We loved everything we ordered! I’m a vegetarian and I absolutely loved the chopped salad!!
Food is always good but service always sucks. You think they would be accustomed to being busy during Kings and Laker games because they happen almost every night. Tonight my wife doesn’t get her garlic bread with her meal and I ordered a second beer right when I got my meal and it showed up when we finally finished eating. Kudos to them for at least comping it but would have rather had it before I finished. 3rd time and always something.
The reservation with OpenTable worked like a charm. The goal was a dinner prior to Laker game, and that worked fine.
The restaurant was packed, and the overall noise was a distraction.
food was great but our waitress was also working the bar and didnt come back not once to refill water or ask if we needed anything. a little disappointing because we have gone plenty of times during lunch and service has never been this bad. We had to as several of the other waiters or busboys for water and the bill.
Started as a special reservation for my wife’s birthday!
Asked that we could have a High Top table at the bar area to celebrate my wife’s birthday, that didn’t happen!
They sat us at a lower communal booth area, that was overly crowded, had barely standard service with no care from the management!
Then when we finally get served, the table next to use has someone that is apparently sick or has other issues and starts coughing all over my wife’s food, which she could no longer eat, it was so bad that the service person saw what was happening and took my wife food off the tab because she could not eat it and felt sorry for her!
My wife had a very EXPENSIVE night and a very bad experience on her birthday!!!
Just wanted everyone to know that if you go here , special requests on OPEN TABLE really don’t mean anything!!!
FYI, We go here before Kings games regularly, maybe not anymore???
Great place to go before any Event at staple center and LA Live
Comfortable booths, pleasant decor, delicious seafood.
We sat in the mezzanine, very fun. Katrina called day of to confirm reservation. Helpful with questions. Manager stopped by we had excellent service from Roberto.
Price seems a bit high for the “bar” ambience
Was going to a concert at the Grammy Museum and had a fabulous meal at the Rock'NFish. My guava had the surf and turf and I had macadamia mahi mahi. Perfectly cooked.
Solid. Great food and great service.
It was good, nothing extraordinary but solid service and food
We come here often before Clippers Games at Staples Center. It's convenient and fun. Their bread is the best!
I eat here regularly. This was the worst steak I ever had here. It happens sometimes. My wife loved the Rockfish dinner. Our other visits have been well above average.
Pre hockey game birthday dinner ... we are not disappointed ... food is always great and the bread is amazing
One of our favorite downtown LA restaurants. Friendly, professional service, and great food.
Great go-to spot before or after a Kings' game or other LA Live event.
The presentation and taste of the food was very good, but the noise level was extreme.
