Like the original Manhattan Beach location, there are two different areas available for private party use: A mezzanine dining area overlooking the main dining area which comfortably seats up to 45 guests or an enclosed patio area located in the front of the restaurant which can seat up to 60 guests.View Private Dining Details
Matt and the Rock n Fish took great care of us on a very busy night. Food and service were freat.
Always love, eating here. Only thing, they should NOT charge for bread. Very foolish
Good food but service fell extremely short, our waitress took our order the food arrived and we didn't see her until after we were done eating. We had another waiter help us because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Im not sure if I will return or recommend this place.
PROBLEM: Although I had a confirmed reservation thru 'OpenTable', we were NOT seated till 20 minutes post the scheduled time. I had to walk up to the Host, and let her know that we were leaving, when at that moment she said our table was ready. To ours, and the Hostess surprise, when we reached the booth/table, it was NOT cleaned NOR ready. We had to wait an additional 5 minutes until we could set. on top of that, the anbiance is EXTREMELY loud. It was impossible to carry a four way conversation. Food and service were very good.
Dinner before event @ Microsoft theater. Great food ! Great service! No wait with reservation. Will be back!
Our server, Javier, was fantastic! He was great at explaining the menu and answering any questions we had. The service was well-timed and friendly. It was a relaxed, no rush kind of meal. Everything was very tasty. Our group enjoyed the Blackened Rockfish, Chopped Salad, Crispy Fish Sandwich, and Ultimate Burger. We'll definitely be back!
Fun atmosphere, delicious food, and walking distance to Staples center for Laker game!
Always a great place to before a game or event. Never have been disappointed yet.
Over priced given the poor quality of food (like going to a Red Lobster and paying double the price). I’m sure it has to do with its location in LA Live and thus a tourist trap. Small piece of Mahi-Mahi fish with asparagus “bottoms” and a fourth cup size of white rice for $30.00!?!?!?! Not recommended for those who have a well rounding restaurant experience.
Great food. Fresh as it gets. Spicy Jambalaya was delicious, spicy and filling! Salmon was as fresh as I've ever had. Fantastic!
We've eaten here many times before and had wonderful attentive service. This time not so much. Our waiter didn't have a good grasp of the English language and because of that the service really suffered! I always recommended this restaurant as a good higher end restaurant with a very good menu but not so sure anymore. Food was ok but some of the food came out cold. Server did not check to see if we needed anything else and never recommended dessert menu. Hopefully this was just a one time bad experience
My family went to this restaurant prior to a King's hockey game. We found the place nothing but a tourist trap. It was impersonal, fast paced, loud and crowded. The food was over priced and only fair at best. The service was also a bit slow despite getting there before the crowd.
The food was great but the food took forever even though the waiter had said it would be quick since he knew we had a concert to catch. We were given 15% off our bill which was great but we had gone to dinner before going to a concert at the Staple center...when we arrived to the restaurant we had enough time to eat and be at the concert by 8. Since our food was delayed we missed about 20 minutes of the concert, meaning that we had missed the first band (5 bands were playing that night). It was a bummer for all of us because we were really looking forward to the concert since these were the bands we used to listen to as children. We did get to enjoy the rest of the bands, but missing the first one was a real disappointment.
Very disappointed, when I was organizing my receipts for my taxes, a week after, realized they gave me the wrong one, also, I was there at 5pm, they did not charge me happy hour fees... my guest covered the charges so I didn't want to make a commotion but very disappointed!
They were probably under staffed because it was a King’s game that night so servers were busy closing checks around game time. After the game started services was a little better. I don’t know if the table sitting next to us sat at a different table and moved over but they received their food before us. Yes even before a salad. When our food came out, it looked nice, fish tacos and jambalaya. Taste was good but never had jambalaya with a cream sauce before but was pleasantly surprised. Overall the food taste great, service was okay and would recommend this place to people to eat.
Salmon was excellent as was the dirty martini. Great wine selection
Justin was our waiter and he was excellent. The roast beef dip was great, as was the cheeseburger.
We wanted to eat at a fun place with several gluten free options so we chose Rock’ N Fish. We were able to review the gf menu online before going to the restaurant and that was very helpful. The ribs were very tasty and fell off the bone so easily! The Rock’ N fish was good but the portion was small. The roasted asparagus was cooked just right and tasted great. Plus, they have gf French fries! Not many places offer gf fries so that was a treat. Unfortunately, our waiter was not the best. Didn’t check in on us often enough and also got my husband’s side order wrong. Plus he was not so friendly. We observed other waiters and they were much more on top of things.
The restaurant has a warm and welcoming energy. Everyone is smiling and friendly even though it was busy and full with a pre-game crowd. n A couple people in our party have serious food allergies. The waiter and kitchen were most accommodating and gracious about taking special orders. Thus, I believe they could and would accommodate paleo, gluten-free, and any kind of special diet. The person in our party cannot tolerate certain spices, so she rarely eats out. The fact that Rock'N Fish is so accommodating, however, made her feel comfortable and confident that she would not need her epi-pen. Yay for that -- and thank you for a fabulous meal and evening!
We are Kings season seat holders love going here before games! Greatest restaurant at LA Live!
Great for pre-King's games and the fact they take reservations...
Staff are usually upbeat and efficient.
Food mostly good.
Our server Robert was amazing. He was friendly, funny, knowledgeable about the menu and gave the best service. I would only sit in his section in the future; he's fantastic.
Good as usual along with service ..noisy as usual but we still keep coming back
Service was great. Food was just average. Steak wasn’t very good and lobster was a bit chewy.
Overall great experience.
ate oysters/ got really sick the same night ... I will not go back there again.
Føod was amazing and quick service...
Gotta have the New Orleans Shrimp, sweet and hot, very good. Nice selection of beer on tap
This is a bar atmosphere and décor serving a variety of food. They do offer fresh fish as their daily special. I ordered the Crab Cakes, two full size cakes containing more meat than filling. I was actually suprised at the size, one side was burnt abd flavor can be inhanced with the sauce. The Flat Iron Steak was ok; I had to use sreak sauce. I ordered medium do to the, size. The macaroni and cheese was dry, asparagus plentfu, large and good. The best thing about my dining experience was the wait staff and drinks. This is a bar environment that grabs your attention with seafood item. I would not dine there anytime soon. If you dine there ask for upstais dining. This place is loud as well.
First time. Great menu. Good food. Friendly service.
Most always have a good experience with the food and the service. When it doesn't turn out quite right, they take it back and make it good. They are charging for bread but they gave it to us as a complimentary addition to our meal as we go before every Lakers game that we attend. We are pretty regular diners so they decided to "treat" us. Reservations help so you don't have to wait.
it's noisy but that's OK because it's a sports crowd.
Before Lakers. Good healthy choices
Went to celebrate two birthdays. Had reservation which made it very easy and we were seated quickly. Service was fine. One small compliant was that one of our side orders was brought out late. Other than that everything was fine and I look forward to our next visit.
Unfortunately, I never ate since my order was not prepared correctly twice. I ordered the steak frites well done and it came out medium rare and the medium well. At that point I declined to have them to correct it yet again.
Because of the location there is about a $5-$10 up charge for most dishes in comparison to what the price should be for the item. My friend asked for a side of jalapeños for his tacos and was charged $1.75 for jalapeños.
The food is good, the place is fun the location is the real reason to eat there. Great to go before a game at Staples Center. But make sure to tell them you need to get out in time. It can get crowded and slow.
Great food and ambiance before the LA Kings game. They were very accommodating, being a few minutes late for our reservation. Would definitely go back!
Good food! Love catch of the day! The service was great!
The food is delicious, wish they would bring back King Crab Legs....
The servers are all very friendly, but every time we are there they seem overwhelmed. Maybe they are understaffed?
They now started charging $2 for bread & butter.
The ambiance is full of energy.
Waited 20 mins just for some bread, which they now charge for. Another 15 after that for our main course. Terrible service.
Good food, quick service.
