My review is on the fact that I never got to experience the restaurant. No one informed me that the restaurant was going to be closed. Even after receiving numerous emails and texts asking me to confirm my reservation. I wasted my energy and my money when I could’ve chosen a location closer to my home. This is extremely poor communication on both Open Table’s and Rock N Fish’s part. I understand that things changed due to the pandemic but they should’ve looked at their day and took action accordingly. There’s never an excuse for poor customer service.

The hostess was uninterested in making our party of four welcome. We were given a table next to a family with little kids. When we asked for another table, even though the restaurant was half full only, she kept saying that it was not possible. In the end we sat outside under the lamp. Then it took a very long time for the food to arrive and when it did, it was cold/lukewarm. We did talk to management after the dinner but he did not offer anything to make us feel better.

We always dine at Rock'N Fish when we attend the Lakers games. I make the reservation through Open Table and we get right in. The food is always good and the resturant is always bustling. Yesterday, my friend noticed that the prices listed on the menu are much higher than what is on the website. For instance, bread is listed at $1.95 on the website but is $3.95 on the menu. We found some fish dishes with incorrect pricing on the website. Our server even noticed that some of his prices were not in agreement with the menu. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO don't pay attention to the prices on the website. They should just list the menu without the prices. I also informed the manager that the tomatoes on the Salmon sandwich are horrible. They were very tasty in the past but the last two times we have eaten there, I couldn't eat them. Our server brought over another dish of tomatoes, but they were bad too. over all, we like Rock'n Fish and eat there when we are in the area for an event. GO LAKERS!

We were running late and were going to the Lakers game too. We ordered and got our food quickly and the staff were super helpful getting us out quickly. The food is always great and I really appreciated the speed in which they got us our food and then the bill. I love this place!

Good food, excellent service but noise level made it somewhat difficult to converse. Reception was very helpful in locating a table on a busy night.

The food and service is good. Not great. It’s hard to expect much more when there are so many to be served prior to an event at the Staples Center and/or Microsoft Theater next door.

We had lunch at this restaurant while attending a conference at the Convention Center. Most of the restaurants in that area are beef steak and hamburger type. Since we do not eat beef our choices are limited. We are pleasantly surprised to find such a good seafood restaurant within a short walk from the Convention Center. Actually we like it so much we plan to come back the next day for lunch.

Was not impressed, especially, being by the Staple Center. Couple next to us told us, what they got was good. But got zero information from server. We got our food, clam chowder was ehhh, I've had way better for the $13 price of a bowl. Our filet mignon was mediocre, not empressed for the price. We asked for bread and for $4 for a few small pieces, you would think refills would be free. Plus the food was not hot for any means. The server, was not all all good. Very slow and slapped the menus down, she was not worth the 18 percent tip. For out almost $80 with tip was not worth ever go in ng back.

Prices have increased substantially. They even charge $3.95 for 4 pieces of sourdough bread. We asked for more and were charged another $3.95. Portions were not as large as they were and it was so noisy that we had to yell to each other. This was at LA Live though and we expected it to be packed. This is where we have always met friends before hockey games, but will probably not be going back. $23 for fish and chips or a beef dip is a little excessive and none of us could believe they charged for bread and butter.

We've been here a few times before concert events. The food has been excellent every time. They were quite busy. But our server was great and we didn't mind the wait when the food is so good.

This restaurant gets away with average quality and average service for exuberant prices because it’s smack in the middle of downtown LA. The food (filet mignon) was tasty but the sides (mashed potatoes and squash) were lackluster and shied away from any culinary imagination. Navy Grog had good alcohol content and was flavorful. Arrived at 3:15 pm on a Saturday. Ambience was quiet and not crowded. Overall, not too impressed.

This restaurant was located close to our hotel in downtown LA. The menu looked interesting and we decided to give it a try. We had the surf and turf with the upgrade for the filet mignon, the catch if the day and the twin lobster tails. Everything was quite delicious-the filet mignon was excellent and we were all very pleased with the lobster tails. They were moist and very tasty. The fish of the day was prepared with a citrus sauce and served over rice with a side of grilled asparagus. The Lobster tails came with grilled asparagus and their spicy Mac and cheese-very rich but good! The surf and turf came with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal baby veggies. We shared the chocolate lava cake and the bread pudding for dessert. The desserts were good but maybe too rich after those entrees.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Give it a try!
