Sea Level Restaurant - Shade Hotel Redondo Beach
We were able to get seated earlier than our reservation time.
Was at Kobe and Gianna memorial, needed to grab lunch quick. Was surprised how quickly we were seated. Service was great and food was good. As busy as they were getting , our server, Eduardo C was awesome.
Prices have increased substantially. They even charge $3.95 for 4 pieces of sourdough bread. We asked for more and were charged another $3.95. Portions were not as large as they were and it was so noisy that we had to yell to each other. This was at LA Live though and we expected it to be packed. This is where we have always met friends before hockey games, but will probably not be going back. $23 for fish and chips or a beef dip is a little excessive and none of us could believe they charged for bread and butter.
A date with a lovely Woman.
Great food. Tad pricey
Went during a very busy time ........ food was ok, but service was excellent due to the amount of people
Place was packed, recommend getting a reservation. Good prices for entree, very good fish taco. Wait staff quick and friendly. Very, very loud so it's a fun atmosphere but don't go expecting to carry on dinner conversation
It was excellent
The food was delicious but the atmosphere was loud and chaotic - not very relaxing. We had to flag someone down every time we needed something.
The macadamia encrusted mahi was to die for! We also had Navy Grog drink which were delicious and were perfect with our dinner. We made reservations and were sat right away when we arrived. Service was fantastic.
We've been here a few times before concert events. The food has been excellent every time. They were quite busy. But our server was great and we didn't mind the wait when the food is so good.
This restaurant gets away with average quality and average service for exuberant prices because it’s smack in the middle of downtown LA. The food (filet mignon) was tasty but the sides (mashed potatoes and squash) were lackluster and shied away from any culinary imagination. Navy Grog had good alcohol content and was flavorful. Arrived at 3:15 pm on a Saturday. Ambience was quiet and not crowded. Overall, not too impressed.
Food was amazing like always!!
Waited even after having our reservation . Waiter came maybe twice then he took forever to get us our drinks and bill . At least our parking was validated
Great food and service. The employees were nice even though we were a little late, we were still seated within 10 minutes.
Staff went the extra mile. They honored our reservation from open table no problems.
Service was good for such a busy night.
The food was amazing! Our server Marcus was awesome! All around great night.
This restaurant was located close to our hotel in downtown LA. The menu looked interesting and we decided to give it a try. We had the surf and turf with the upgrade for the filet mignon, the catch if the day and the twin lobster tails. Everything was quite delicious-the filet mignon was excellent and we were all very pleased with the lobster tails. They were moist and very tasty. The fish of the day was prepared with a citrus sauce and served over rice with a side of grilled asparagus. The Lobster tails came with grilled asparagus and their spicy Mac and cheese-very rich but good! The surf and turf came with garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal baby veggies. We shared the chocolate lava cake and the bread pudding for dessert. The desserts were good but maybe too rich after those entrees.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious! Give it a try!
Waiter quality is not so great
The food was cold services, when arrive to my table. The server was trouble never brought items that we needed. I will never go back there food was trouble.
Good food. Friendly and attentive staff. Fast service.
Great restaurant to go to when going for a date night! Close to staples center as we had an outing for the night. The food was amazing! My sea bass was perfection and the service was great as well! Highly recommend this restaurant!!
When we arrive they didn’t even have our reservation and they sat us outside instead of inside. Disappointing.
Quality of the seafood was really good and tasty!!
They made us sit outside we did not request outside seating. Very noisy outside. They had plenty of tables inside. We I asked the hostess said we would have to be put on a list even though I had reservations
What a wonderful dinner with my daughter. This is our regular restaurant when we go to Staples for anything. My daughter decided to try the teriyaki chicken this time, she hasn’t stopped talking about it, this was 3 days ago !! I got blackened fish tacos, they were amazing.. and the creme brûlée, I cant even explain...
Coconut martini was delicious fish and chips cooked perfect and clam chowder was good! Our server was efficient and friendly
Was here to enjoy the food and the Laker game on TV the night the Lakers first played after Kobe's passing. Really bummed this restaurant at LA Live did not go away from there everyday identity to honor Kobe Bryant and the fans that fill this restaurant everyday. Especially on this night. From the first day this establishment opened its doors, its filled with Kobe fans, more so Laker fans and any fan that is enjoying this restaurant prior to going over to the Staples center. Either way, on this night we were all Kobe fans. However, on this special night for Los Angeles fans, Rockin' Fish declined to bend from there identity and made it known they were not a sports bar (as many patrons asked) and did not have the audio of not only the Laker game, but the much anticipated pre game ceremony, celebrating Kobe Bryant. Yet they did make sure to monetize the event and bring in every customer possible by having all their TV's tuned into the Lakers channel and ESPN on every TV in the building. Including a massive 4 screen in one setup (very nice), but yet, your not a "sports bar." Some may consider this false advertising. Anyways, food was good, as well as the service, was just really bummed my family and I along with every other person in that building, 99% of them wearing Kobe and Lakers gear, was not able to hear the ceremony along with the game. I understand every restaurant has there identity, but this place walks a fine line when it comes to not being a sports bar. Just wish they would have an exception this night. Thanks for the memories Rock' N Fish.
I usually visit Rock N Fish when I go to LA Live. It isn’t the cheapest option but not the most expensive either. The fish is good and the service is professional and friendly. It is very popular before events at the Staples Center. It clears out once the event starts.
Super slow service and the joint was empty. Food was fair though.
Great french dip. Great service. Cool location. Very clean and classy!
This was my second visit to this particular RockN Fish, but had more recently been to the one in Manhattan Beach. This particular visit was ok, but there were some issues. For one it was very cold in the restaurant. Although I understood the hard rock in the restaurant due to its theme, it was so loud, we couldn't hear each other talking. Calamari appetizer was, good. RockN House salad had a bit of a sour taste. Could have been the cabbage. My wife ordered the Catch of the Day which was a Sea Bass and she seemed happy. I ordered the Southern Style Catfish. I had assumed this would be fried which it was not. At first it tasted good, but the more I ate, the more bland and soggy the fish got. Also it had broccolini and asparagus, which I would have expected a starch instead of asparagus, which was not listed for the dish on the menu. We might think twice before coming back to this location.
One of the worst experiences of my life. Food was good but the waiter was terrible and when the manager was called over she did nothing about it. I will never eat there again.
Great food and atmosphere to hang out before a game
Rock'n Fish was excellent, accommodate our physicians for a great social gathering.
We told the server that we had limited time due to going to the Laker game. He took our order within minutes of being seated and the food came out quickly. Everything was as ordered and was hot! We made it to the game easily.
Everything about my experience at rock ‘n Fish was at 10 I highly recommend this restaurant
Lovely time. I had the Blackened Swordfish and thought it was tasty. All in all a good time.
The manger has excellent customer service even on the busy nights he checks on everything
