The front desk ladies did not seem interested in the customers. They spent a lot of time speaking amongst themselves. I had to repeat my name multiple times. They all seemed clueless. We had a reservation but had to wait a long time and repeatedly request when our table would be ready. We felt like we were invisible.
We were finally seated. Our server was fantastic in the beginning. Then only half the food came out and there a a long lag until the rest came out. I’ve been to Rock N Fish in MB many times. The food and the service are much better. My salmon sandwich was soggy and not very good
Pleasant and fun
The manger and Donny are just over the top with service
It was great, me and my girlfriend both loved everything about it!!!! Food was amazing And the beer selection was perfect......service was great thanks to Andre...made us feel welcome and recommended great dishes (seafood jambalaya)!!! Very great overall experience! Thank you
Everything was exceptional! It’s a bit expensive but it’s downtown LA so it’s expected. The server didn’t hear us order the appetizer but she was super sweet about it. Love this place!
It’s was good, a bit noisy. I should have researched a little better, but change of plans due to weather. Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday before a Kings game. I wouldn’t bring someone here for a bday again, maybe a place for dinner and drinks with friends.
Came to eat before Lakers game. The food is good and great service.
Good food. If you order steak they overcook so ask for a bit rarer than you like.
service was slow and the food was just ok. Many better choices at LA Live
First dinner with our 5 month old baby. The food, service, and ambiance were phenomenal. They were very accommodating and welcoming, the host and waiter made the night very special. The food was super delicious- we had the Surf and Turf with the filet mignon to name the main dish. Thank you!
quality fish and excellent dessert. 3rd visit to restaurant. Grilled artichoke usually amazing but this time dry and tough. not worth the 14.95 price tag
They added my favorite salmon pesto pasta back on the menu and I was so happy and shocked!
Great experience. Food is fantastic. !
You must try the Kona Pie!
I took my husband hear for his birthday, I thought by the name being rockin fish they would have plenty of seafood to choose from. I was wrong, I felt like failed this birthday
My husband and I have come here the last couple of times before King's games and the service has been really good. The people are nice, the food was served super hot and tasted delicious. It is a little more pricey than other establishments that served similar food in the area but all in all it was worth it. Convenient if you are in the area to watch a game or just want to watch a game at the bar and have a drink.
Food and service great
There is no happy hour even though posted when there is an event at LA Live
Should come off open table
Great fish dishes every time. Service was as expected, as we got done in time before the Lakers game
Food was very expensive and heavy on salt with average flavorings (nearly 80-100 bucks for dinner and drinks per person). Service was frustrating since we often had to call our waiter as he passed our table for drink orders and noise level left us almost needing to shout above the music. Best location for visiting Staples center for an event but I would much prefer eating almost anywhere else and we won't be returning.
might be fine for drinks and appetizers at the bar...will try Flemings to get Prime steak for 50 bucks and seek out better atmosphere and attentive service.
Anniversary
In the middle of LA Live, which is a crowed mess, Rock'N Fish is an oasis that delivers a good meal with a decent ambiance.
We were late because of unexpected traffic and they still seated us. Our server was excellent
The food was amazing and all the staff very attentive and spot on clearing empty plates and filling empty glasses.
Big shout out to Mike our server who did everything to accommodate us !
Excellent food, good for a pre Laker game business dinner.
We’re going to game at staples. Service was quick but not that rushed feeling. Great server. Excellent Steak Frites with truffle fries. Yummy
Pretty basic.
Everything was very good. Service food quality and ambiance.
The food was great. Our waiter was fantastic! We had a few allergies at the table and he was extremely accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious!
We were a party of five and overall we all gave five stars on our experience. Our waiter was fantastic and when he went on his break his replacement was equally fantastic! We started with the calamari and crabcakes and they were both delicious the calamari was perfect! Three had the special Sea bass and two mahi , we were all equally pleased with our meals and looking forward and another fantastic evening soon!
I have always had great meals at Rock n Fish. They went above and beyond!! The food the service - all of it was impeccable. I had not been to this location and will make it my regular for DTLA outings. Thank you Rock n Fish for a great evening!!!
My husband and I had tickets to a concert at The Staples Center so this was conveniently located. I made a reservation but due to traffic and parking we arrived late. They didn’t mind at all, sat us right away and we had great service. We tried the artichoke which was delicious! All the food was fantastic and we will definitely go back.
Great service and fish special of the day was so amazing!!!
Food was delicious. I had the steak and lobster. The service was good and the prices were reasonable for a higher end restaurant
Food quality definitely has declined over prior years. In prior years getting a reservation before a sporting event was a challenge. Now the place is almost empty.
We came over for dinner prior to a Lakers game. The food was mostly ok, cocktails were very good and service was attentive. While waiting for our table we had a couple of drinks at the bar and the server was extremely efficient in getting our drinks done to perfection.
Lakers game
Waited too long.
The location, ambiance, food and energy was good. The service was tremendously slow and the Manager was not so friendly... Great for "celeb star gazing" in the Patio.
Best spot for dinner before a concert. Loved the poke and calamari appetizers. Ribeye and Lobster Tails were delicious. Drinks were served quickly and they had plenty of 1942 stocked up! We will be back again for sure.
We love this place ! We meet with friends her
Great food and friendly and efficient wait staff.
