In the middle of LA Live, which is a crowed mess, Rock'N Fish is an oasis that delivers a good meal with a decent ambiance.
We were late because of unexpected traffic and they still seated us. Our server was excellent
The food was amazing and all the staff very attentive and spot on clearing empty plates and filling empty glasses.
Big shout out to Mike our server who did everything to accommodate us !
Excellent food, good for a pre Laker game business dinner.
We’re going to game at staples. Service was quick but not that rushed feeling. Great server. Excellent Steak Frites with truffle fries. Yummy
Everything was very good. Service food quality and ambiance.
The food was great. Our waiter was fantastic! We had a few allergies at the table and he was extremely accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious!
We were a party of five and overall we all gave five stars on our experience. Our waiter was fantastic and when he went on his break his replacement was equally fantastic! We started with the calamari and crabcakes and they were both delicious the calamari was perfect! Three had the special Sea bass and two mahi , we were all equally pleased with our meals and looking forward and another fantastic evening soon!
I have always had great meals at Rock n Fish. They went above and beyond!! The food the service - all of it was impeccable. I had not been to this location and will make it my regular for DTLA outings. Thank you Rock n Fish for a great evening!!!
My husband and I had tickets to a concert at The Staples Center so this was conveniently located. I made a reservation but due to traffic and parking we arrived late. They didn’t mind at all, sat us right away and we had great service. We tried the artichoke which was delicious! All the food was fantastic and we will definitely go back.
Great service and fish special of the day was so amazing!!!
Food was delicious. I had the steak and lobster. The service was good and the prices were reasonable for a higher end restaurant
Food quality definitely has declined over prior years. In prior years getting a reservation before a sporting event was a challenge. Now the place is almost empty.
We came over for dinner prior to a Lakers game. The food was mostly ok, cocktails were very good and service was attentive. While waiting for our table we had a couple of drinks at the bar and the server was extremely efficient in getting our drinks done to perfection.
Waited too long.
The location, ambiance, food and energy was good. The service was tremendously slow and the Manager was not so friendly... Great for "celeb star gazing" in the Patio.
Best spot for dinner before a concert. Loved the poke and calamari appetizers. Ribeye and Lobster Tails were delicious. Drinks were served quickly and they had plenty of 1942 stocked up! We will be back again for sure.
We love this place ! We meet with friends her
Great food and friendly and efficient wait staff.
It's very convenient to Staples center and outside seating gives access to the incredible vibe of L.A. and L.A. Live. Yet my ahi seared coconut salad was a bit disappointing, lacking character and not very complex flavors. I wish I'd asked if the ahi was seared just before serving; it's not.
everything was great! we had a nice time. service was good
The waiter came to our table all frazzled reporting that he needed to take our order now, or we'd have to wait until he served his "big party." He didn't give us his name until we asked, and then he seemed to calm down a bit. The bus boy was amazing! My daughter didn't want the drink she ordered, but it was the first thing that came to mind in his haste. The food was good, just not that hot.
Only restaurant that takes reservations around Staples Center
Service was very slow. Food fantastic!
Our event at Staples Center ran long, so I called as we walked over to tell them we were late, she told me it was past the extra 15 min table hold and we would have to wait since we missed our reservation. As I disconnected the phone we walked in, probably 1 min past the hold, no one was waiting and we were seated, but she was kind of snotty on the phone. Not sure I would go back, other options available at Live.
We were seated immediately and our server was right there.
Great food, great ambiance, service could have been better.
overpriced, service was OK - we waited for bread forever, the tuna ahi salad had a funny taste...
Not as good as the last time. I’m thinking they changed the chef, again. We always get the fish tacos and crab cakes, but this time they weren’t as good. A little disappointed.
Not my type of restaurant, but must admit it was good. Wine list had a large selection, but nothing great on it. The beer selection was better. I would go back though.
Service was excellent. Food was excellent. I had the fish special which was out of this world, it had a mango sauce , Was moist and tender and flavorful. Just wonderful
Good food and great atmosphere. We got there later than our reservations due to horrible traffic and they accommodated is without a problem. Food came out super fast too. Didn’t care for spicy margarita but everything else was good. Waiter was very patient. Decent prices.
We had a dinner reservations at 6:15pm and arrived at 6 and they seated us right away. The hostess that seated us was very friendly. :)
The server was friendly BUT she didn't come around to check up on us and took a while to finally get her to bring us a dessert menu. It was busy but not to the point of not being able to check on us. I noticed there was another table that was having the same problem.
We were very disappointed that they would not allow my mom to order a salad with her dressing on the side. They said bc it was a busy night. Really disappointing, we ended up just having a drink and leaving.
Service was Horrible. Asked for a straw 4 times finally got up and got my own.
My soup was cold. And when they brought it a second time it was colder.
Brought us the wrong drink and then when I said it was wrong they said well it’s a good Just drink i.
Did I say that service was horrible well it was.
Have eaten here so many times. Thinking I won’t be back.
First time experiencing the restaurant and was unfamiliar with the location. Was disappointed with location, menu selection, quality and price of the food. Seemed like a good place to drink and have bar food but underwhelming as a dinner location.
I took my wife there for her birthday and we had a great time. Our server (I can't remember his name)
was outstanding. The food and sparkling wine was very good. We'll be back!
