Our server was amazing! He was friendly and helpful with the menu. I couldn’t choose between two entrees and I let him surprise me and it was wonderful.
Good food at fairly reasonable price. Went here before seeing a concert at LA Live and would go back again if the opportunity presents.
The food has always been consistently great here. A reservation was made requesting on outside table....the hostess said they would “try to accommodate us” and we were asked to go stand by one area to be called. Several minutes (15) went by while others were seated before us (most of them seemed to be walked in). We went back to the hostess to get a status and she said “oh, we forgot about you”....
What is the purpose of a reservation system if this is how it is handled. There was no apology given just a “we can seat you now” and it was inside
The schezuan green beans spicy mac n cheeses and kona pie were amazing. The drinks were strong and the waiter knew how to answer all our questons. The only negative was not enough bathrooms . S stalls is not enough for a place that busy.
The prices are too high. They charge $2.00 for bread, and added a charge for blue cheese crumbles on the wedge salad. All wedge salads come with blue cheese and this was a $18.00 salad. That was outrageous. It is so noisy inside you can't hold a conversation. They didn't bring the condiments with the meal and they were requested three times. The service was horrible. It has gone way down hill!
Great place to eat before an event at Staples Center. The rating reflected the poor timing of the food delivery. We got one of our two appetizers. Then the salad came out the same time as our main course. Mixed drinks were very sweet. Stick with beer or wine.
A wonderful meal. The sourdough was intoxicating
Stop getting so caught up in number of people arrived from the reservation party. Breaking my balls about cutoff times and number of people just makes me want to leave and never come back....especially when you are less than half full.
Great service. We were there for dinner prior to a show. Even thought they were extremely buy our server was fabulous!
Excellent service. Servers very attentive. Knowledgeable about the menu items.
We were not pleased with the fact that when we called and said that we were stuck in traffic and would be about 15 minutes late they responded that they only hold tables for 15 minutes. They gave our table away because we were 18 minutes late.
We had to wait 30 minutes and the table we were given was extremely small and next to the kitchen.
This was our first time here and I really wasn't impressed. They had a special written on the board that wasn't available. The server didn't seem to have very much knowledge on the menu and never offered us more drinks. It was packed, but that's probably standard for them being next to Staples center. I probably wouldn't pick this restaurant again.
The service & food was excellent . I really enjoyed my time there. Can’t wait to go back,
My only complaint is I need my dinner reservations for 5:30 PM days ahead of time. We left the AV Valley at 4:30 and when we mapquested our arrival time to be 5:40 I called the restaurant to let them know we would be 10 min late. She said no problem 15 min grace period. I told hostess I’d call again when we were closer. At 5:30 I called again and said we r still coming looks like 5:45 due to traffic please hold our table. Hostess said ok. We arrived 5:50 and they made us wait 45 min for a table. We weren’t happy about this very poor service.
Went about 5:30 pm prior to Staples concert. Seated outside and enjoyed watching the people walk by. Service great and not loud so conversation possible.
We were 2 girlfriends, one in her 60's and the other in her 70's,out for a good dinner before seeing Michael Buble at the Staples Center. Rock'N Fish was the BEST! First Olivia at the front answered and helped us by phone with directions so that we wouldn't miss our reservation. Then as we arrived she greeted us with a beautiful smile! Eduardo was our amazing wait staff person...he was helpingful, got the answers to our questions quickly, had a sense of humor and was happy to be assisting us, refilled our ice tea glasses without our needing to ask, ...he was wonderful!
The atmosphere, we sat outside, was perfect for two ladies to catch up with each other and allowed for plenty of laughter...all this without influence of an alcoholic beverage! And the food was superlative! My friend had the fresh catch of the day, the MahiMahi,...it was very fresh and cooked to perfection along with the asparagus, veggies and rice. She kept exclaiming through out dinner how delicious it was. I had a scrumptious crunchy fresh salad with very fresh and tasty Ahi Tuna, wonderful salad dressing!
My husband and I had eaten here 3 times before and each time ,like this one, the meal was memorably delicious, in every way!
Thank you 💐
The seafood jambalaya is amazing. It’s my absolute favorite . I haven’t had any other entree on the menu because I can’t get enough of the jambalaya
Had a reservation and we were seated promptly. Not enough servers for the amount of people there. Placed our order and also ordered a drink from the bar. Food came and still had to wait for the drink. Half of meal was done before drink arrived.
Seems to be a constant problem where the server will take your full order and then pass off any bar drinks to someone else. It always takes a long time to get the bar drinks.
A fun place to dine and people watch at LA Live Food and service was above average but suggest requesting outside dining as the inside is very noisy. Enjoy
We had an excellent, helpful waiter and we both thought the fish was some of the best we've ever eaten. I loved my macadamia-crusted mahi mahi dish (sweet and un-typical fish taste) and my spouse loved the blackened swordfish dish (savory, thicker fish). To be honest we did not think our sides were as good as the fish, but it was all tasty and we had a good night out. We made a reservation, but there was no wait. Most fish entrees run $20-$30. We both are big eaters, but with an added side of bread, we both left our dinner experience full.
It was ok. Waiter was not very attentive restaurant wasn't busy when we went. Wrong order brought out first time. No straws with drinks
Delicious!! Never fails to satisfy. I have something different every time. Everything has been great.
Bathrooms are the worst EVER!
Food was good
Service was Great
Food was tasty good quality and very friendly service
Fun place, good food disappointed they changed their menu and charge for bread now.
The food was amazing and the workers were extremely friendly.
Food was great! Service was responsive and very friendly. I arrived early for a business lunch and they checked with me on the table, service, music - great service.
Nice enough before a game at Staples but the food is just OK.
Slow service. Fish was not fresh and overcooked.
Seated timely. Food was good. Service was generally very good, waiter got a little busy for part of time due to game rush.
Nice dinner for two. The manager came to our table to say that he spotted a problem with one of our dinners and had the chef redo it. To compensate for our extra wait he gave my wife a free salad and me a free soup.
Convenient to Staples Center and they take reservations.
The food was delicious!
The Service, outstanding!
The Servers were genuinely warm and professional.
We had a great time!
Was waiting 45 minutes for food and 15 minutes for check
Very noisy no service food quality so so
Quick lunch. Thankful that I was able to get a reservation in. Would have preferred if they created a separate line for folks with reservations. Lots of folks in line and I felt rude stepping in front of them knowing they had been there awhile. Good food. Service was the weakest link (waitstaff specifically; the hostess was great)
Great service consist it was crowded due to a concert. Really noisy... I would sit outside next time. Food was good, not fabulous!
Long black hair in our crab cakes. Server only checked on us once during our entire meal.
We were seated right away and the service was great as well as the food. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday before a concert at Staples Center and it was the perfect spot.
As all LA Live eateries, this one is over-priced.....and loud. Sound level was ok early on, but slowly increased. Service was great, very fast and friendly. Booth seating was comfortable and waiters were appropriately attentive. No bread served when you sit down, found that odd. Never had that experience and hope that doesn't catch on....in America we eat free bread, chips, etc before we order. The food was fine, but not meeting the price.
Small tables are a little crowded. The steak was warm but not hot. Mac and cheese was great! The potatoes were under flavored.
