We had a large part(12)- Very slow service- took about 20 minutes after drink/appetizer order for server to come back and take lunch order (appetizers still hadn't arrived). Had to flag down other servers to find out server for drink refills- the restaurant wasn't that crowded - food was so-so, some dishes were cold. Prices high for mediocre food at best... we should have gone to the fish and chips place....would not recommend spending your time or money here.
They had very good food. However, the service was very slow.
Lovely wait staff! Hadn’t seen each other in years so lots of talk and staff accommodated so nicely. Great spot on the water and delicious tacos—all ordered tres tacos and took home one!
Great restaurant that we walked to from our beach front condo while vacationing in Oceanside. My Husband and son shared the Crab Bucket and they were not disappointed 😀. The seafood enchiladas and lobster bites were delicious too. We were there on a Thursday when they have live music and chose to sit on the heated patio to listen. Great time!
We had a big group and they did a great job accommodating for us. Service was great and food was very good!
Relaxing beach vibes feel to this fun restaurant. Food delivery was a bit slow, but the quality of the food was excellent. The grilled shrimp and lobster tacos were wonderful.
Loved it took my family that was visiting from the east coast they ❤️ it....,
Both my friend and I who had dinner at this establishment drove about an hour to get there. It was our half way meeting point, and I chose this place because Google ratings was pretty high. The hostess was super helpful and sat us almost immediately with a prime spot over looking the harbor. I would definitely come back here again. :)
Great music last night.
Very overpriced mediocre food very loud and touristy of course
This used to be so much better! Unfortunately, the food quality has gone down. This was always a place we made sure to come to every time we were in So. Cal but wondering if it’s worth it anymore! This is now the 2 time that we have been disappointed. Wish it would improve again!!
Great ambiance. The lobster tacos were sooo good!!
Food was absolutely delicious. I really love the new windows and shade.
I took my husband for his birthday. When i made reservation, i indicated that i was celebrating a birthday. Typically, when that is done, the waiter brings a special treat. Nothing special was done. In addition, it took a long time to get our food. Overall, it was a poor service
I had the steamed mussels which was cooked to perfection and deliciously season. It was perfect for a cool day in Southern California sitting in their outdoor Seating area.
Very relaxing afternoon to eat near the boardwalk in Oceanside.
It was they had good waitress and the food was amazing
Was very delicious. People were nice and attended us very well
We love this place. The entire staff is so friendly and the food is amazing. We were the last table to leave that night (as former servers we felt bad but they closed so early!) our server didn’t care that we were the last table of the night, she let us enjoy our time together and never pushed us to leave. This is the only place to eat when you’re in Oceanside.
The food and service was very good, the ambience was a little seedier than I was expecting.
It pains me to do this. We love the Old Town restaurant so was excited to find that there is one closer to us. We decided to try this out for our out of town guests and really wanted to impress them. We kept talking up the food completely confident they would have a great dining experience. Granted, it was a Sunday football game- everybody was distracted.. but if you are scheduled to work, please focus on the customers.. or else take the day off. Our table of 6 had to wait a full 25 Minutes before we could even order because we could never find our waitress and when we did, we found said waitress huddled with another coworker trying to sneak in the game.. offputting to say the least. If I have to get up to try to find you- you are not doing your job. Secondly, when the food finally did arrive, one entree was missing- one of my out of town guests had to 1)wait to find her again 2) ask about his entree and order a refill 3) wait for her to come back with refill 4) flag her down to ask her again about his entree when she finally admitted she forgot to put in his order entirely. Honestly, it was so bad I'm actually impressed on the chronicle of events that happened during our lunch. We love your food but for the service we will walk down the street to Joes Crab Shack. Sorry guys.
Went on weekday and it was pouring rain. This is a fun & beautiful surrounding for a family or fun date.
Amazing seafood in a casual beach town atmosphere.
Great food and value!
We came here for a get together Saturday night and were pleased with our experience. Our server was awesome and the food was great. Free chips and salsa bar is a +
Good atmosphere. Although waiters were busy they were attentive. Beers were good. The lobster was a little dried out otherwise Silverado bucket was good. Great scenic view of Harbor from restaurant patio. All in all, it was a good experience.
Great view, good food and service. Very expensive for the quality of the food you're getting. $6/taco for the three taco platter. $22 for a seafood burrito.
We absolutely loved Rockin Baja. The ONLY thing we were upset about was that we didn’t eat there the day before.
Food was hit or miss, mine was fine but my wife’s looked terrible she only had a few bites, the server ignored her loss of appetite. I did like the nacho bar with fixings!
The host was lazy or just didn’t know how to report to open table that we made our reservation on time.I ask her to tell her manager to make sure she said ok she would but open table emails me saying I was a no show.
The food was ok we had the lobster bucket and tres tacos that were just to busy with all the toppings.
Service was good, food was good, but the Chips in the salsa bar where so stale we couldn’t believe they were serving them. Maybe Sunday night is when they clean out the old chips from the week.
We were celebrating our friends daughters 16th Birthday. Food was hot and tasty and waitress as attentive. Great place! Will be back..
Our waitress was horrible. Numerous request had to be made very what should be standard items. We had no napkins and she seemed more concerned about getting other tables refills on the drinks thank tending to people’s request. Table next to us with baby also were complaining about the super slow response time by the waitress. Our food came out with no soolvetware. Just overall it was a very poor showing by the wait staff. Food was okay but took a long time even thought they weren’t that busy.
Awesome place, specifically drove from Victorville to eat here for my wife and mine anniversary. Love the service and tbe food.
The calamari was obviously frozen and overcooked. It was so tough and chewy. The enchiladas were absolutely disgusting. After 2 bites I gave up. Service, almost worse than the food. Our server, Ashley, would disappear for long periods of time, never gave us any refills (and we were only drinking water to begin with) and just overall ignored us. The only thing I would tell anyone about Rockin Baja is to avoid going there.
The service was great and all the staff very friendly. I got the Baja bucket for 1, the lobster and shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. My daughter got the fish and chips and mentioned the fish was over cooked and it wasn’t great.
Service was ok. Food was so-so, not impressed. Would expect a seafood restaurant on the water to have more flavor in their seafood dishes. Won’t be back.
Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Food was fantastic.
This is a wonderful restaurant and a great location.
Awesome food and service... I just wish they’d turn the music down. Hard to catch up with friends.
Amazing! The lobster combo and the tres tacos were awesome. Definitely worth checking out. They also have a complimentary salsa bar that is totally worth it.
