Rockin Baja Lobster Oceanside Ratings and Reviews
Our group of 7 had so much fun here! The food was great - so yummy - and really an incredible value for all that we got. Service was friendly and very accommodating. Loved being on the harbor, and especially liked that I could bring my well-behaved pups with me to sit under the table. Not pretentious or fancy, this place is casual, fun, has beautiful scenery and is just overall a great place!
I was in the area because we went to Legoland. Looked online to find a good restaurant with good reviews and good food that was close by. It did not dissapoint,it was about 5 mins from my hotel. Loved it!! I shared the "Big Baja Bucket for 2" with my husband but did not finish it. This would be for about 3-4 people . Also had the Baja Azule margarita with mango(sooooo good)
I love all their locations but this one is just perfect when SoCal weather is cooling down. Just sitting on the patio watching the Marina activity is the best. The food is usually perfect and always a great time. This time however the Crab & Lobster was a bit over cooked and very dry, it was still good but has defiantly been better when it’s not so dry..
This place is casual, fun and vibrant. I really enjoyed sitting outside taking in the harbor while throwing back a couple of drinks. My wife loved the food. We make a habit of trying tacos around Socal and she thought the steak tacos were the best she's ever had.
We like this restaurant but will never return to the Oceanside location even though it the closest one. We went for my girlfriends birthday, the server did not recognise the birthday at all and she even checked her ID (showing she didn't really check). Then she sells us on a Cortes for 2 and only brings out a bucket for one. We order a second round and a drink had a crack in the coconut and is leaking all over the table and half the drink goes away, when we can get out server she just dumps the drink in a different glass. Food came out and was good as always, just the whole party was done eating. No birthday anything, no sense of compassion for all of the mistakes made, no discount on messed up drink or even the option of a fresh one. $239 for the worst service and birthday dinner I've experienced. What a shame for such a nice place
It was our 27th Wedding Anniversary and we thought we'd try somewhere new. So went to my OpenTable app and put in Seafood & Mexican food on the water in Oceanside and it popped up first, it look fun, on the water, price friendly and the photos of the menu convinced us. So we took a chance and glad we did shared our 27th Wedding Anniversary with you all thank you all it was lovely!!
Everything was perfect. Made a reservation and our table was ready as soon as we got there. Our server was amazing. The food came out fast and was really good. Great view of the harbor too! It was our 1st marriage anniversary. Glad we chose to eat here. Thanks!
Food was real good and the service was good. We got there a bit late and they actually called my cell to see if we were coming! That was very nice. We sat down next to a lady that was very drunk and I appreciated that the server cut her off and refused to serve her any more. This is the second time we have been here and we really like it. I like the Salsa Bar allot as you can get a verity of things to try.
The parking is AWFUL over there! Our family with an infant had to park at the Holiday Inn, 1/2 mile away, and my husband risked parking in the restaurant's parking lot which ended up costing us $60 for a parking ticket. YIKES! We will NOT do this again. The food was moderate and my Caesar Salad had entirely too much salad dressing. The only thing redeeming about this place was the unlimited chips and salsa bar. I must say this was very surprising and well maintained, and the bean and corn salsa was actually awesome.
Although the location was prime and the menu had plenty of choices for the five of us, we weren't very satisfied by the meals we received.
The quesadilla was filled with lukewarm (at best) cheese, the lobster taco fajita, which was piled high with grilled onions, peppers, salsa and sauces, had three very small bite sized lobster pieces, and they were barely lukewarm and tasted terrible. I told the server I was very displeased with the amount of lobster in my LOBSTER taco and she told me that is the number of pieces it comes with. It should be called a grilled veggie taco with lobster morsels.
The cheese enchiladas were filled with, again, lukewarm cheddar cheese and piled high with lettuce and a drizzle of some sort of salsa that was white in color. Yup, thats right, white.
We ordered margaritas and because it was happy hour, we got top shelf tequila but it made no difference. Two drinks later ... no buzz... WEAK! The only thing we really enjoyed was the salsa bar and chips! We will not go back.
Really great food, atmosphere was fun and happy! Live music made for the perfect dinner out on the patio! Fish tacos were excellent! Also had great shrimp and lobster. Not the fanciest, but definitely one of the funnest! The staff were all friendly and happy!
