RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
What Insiders Are Saying
Rockcreek Seafood & Spirits in Fremont is a great place for fresh seafood, and pretending like you caught your own fish in the wild.
This restaurant knows how to produce an excellent menu for seafood, but execution by the kitchen is superb and certainly among the best in the city. Combine with attentive service (the waitpersons get a workout carrying trays to the upstairs dining area: think tip), an excellent wine/cocktail/beverage list and great value for the price and this becomes "the go-to" seafood restaurant in Seattle. Our only opportunity for improvement suggestion is to rethink the short uninspired dessert menu which doesn't pair with the rest of the food and beverage offerings.
Food was good and the service was quick and efficient. The meal was a little pricey for the portions.
Sat by office/bathroom. Were out of halibut so had to go with another choice. Expensive for value. Dessert was good.
One of my favorite restaurants! Great food and friendly stuff
This is a great restaurant with an incredibly thoughtful menu. Service was fantastic and the food was delightful.
The food was great, enjoyable, my pasta was amazing. The service was slow and unattentive. The host was really nice and got us seated outside, and the bartender was great. One of the signature drinks, their take on a picso sour, was bland and boring - no imagination and seriously flavorless. Worst pisco sour I ever had - even so/so bars make good pisco sours. The bread was wonderful ($6.00 with butter) but they ran out of it when we asked for more. This was a special occasion dinner and it didn't ruin the special occasion, but it could have been more special.... Our waiter seemed distracted and bored and uninterested.
Such a great dinner! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and they were very accommodating of my gluten intolerance. Everything we ate was fantastic. I wish we had room for dessert as they also looked delicious!
Recommended cauliflower salad was OK. Mussel Bruschetta was truly awesome, one of the best presentations of mussels I've head. Neah Bay Black Cod was great, as was the Fin and Shell Stew. They made an excellent bartender's choice old fashioned as well. All the fish was perfectly cooked, and service was very good.
Excellent seafood in a quaint Seattle suburb! Worth venturing outside the city for sure as the chef is inventive, fish incredibly fresh, and craft cocktails were delightful!
RockCreek is among the best restaurants in Seattle if you are looking for fresh fish, well prepared and always tasty! The service is friendly and professional. Sometimes I have to ask for an alternate table to be able to hear conversation with a companion. Requests are always fulfilled without a problem. The restaurant has the feel of a neighborhood place, but I would recommend it to anyone even if you have to drive to get here.
This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a very long time. It was so good that I am going back this week!
Wonderful seafood, well prepared. The Black Cod was excellent. Informed staff helped us with a wine selection to go with our meal. Well worth the 12 minute Lyft drive from downtown Seattle to its location.
Best fish dish I’ve ever had, and I love fish. Had the black cod, my sister had the halibut cheeks. Apps dessert and wine were great as well.
Service was impeccable. Highly, highly recommend
Neighborhood gem - excellent food, service and value - a gourmet treat
Food is incredible and oysters are the best I had in Seattle area
Everything about this place was amazing!!!! Can’t wait to go back
Excellent service, delicious food, will definitely return. Discovered this spot when looking for a dinner experience before an event at Fremont Abbey, completely delighted to learn of the relationship to FlintCreek, one of our favorites. No complaints. Not one.
Food was great but our server definitely had a serious attitude
Wonderful find for our short trip to Seattle. Food and service was wonderful
Great rustic environment. I have some food restrictions, and our waiter / kitchen were extremely accommodating. Food was fresh, flavorful, and different enough to separate it from a “typical” seafood restaurant. While I did not have an alcoholic beverage, the bar menu was very impressive with a wide variety of wines, cocktails, and decent selection of beer. I would absolutely make a return trip.
Beautiful outdoor fireplace and very beautifully plated and flavourful dishes. Dessert is a must... had their key lime pie, which was served in a mason jar, and it was sensational.
Delicious food. We have had dinner at RockCreek twice over the last few years, and the food has been great each time. While the desserts were good, the starters, small plates, and entrees are the true standouts. We were slightly disappointed in the Icelandic char entree we split during our last visit, but only because it was on the small side (no sides came with it); otherwise, the char itself tasted fantastic and was perfectly cooked.
Fantastic brunch. Literally one of the best meals that I have ever eaten!
We were really excited about trying this restaurant but overall were disappointed. After being seated an individual filled our water, but after that point it took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if we would like wine and take our food order. The food was good, the appetizers were very tasty and the entrees were fresh but lacking flavor. Overall I would not go back. When the server did come she was friendly but the amount of time it took to have someone to even come order with servers and other restaurant leadership around made for an experience that would not make me return. They need to work on initial attention to tables after seated, as the table next to us had a similar experience.
Fantastically prepared dishes. Very flavorful and would recommend.
What an amazing experience! The staff were super friendly and delightful, service was quick, food and drinks were delicious. If I lived closer I'd dine here every week.
Nice. Noisy and a little crowded but that’s fun sometimes
Wonderful layering of flavors. The smelt app came on a layer of fabulous aioli. My entree of rockfish was perfectly prepared and accompanied by a superb combination of herbs and other tasty tidbits (capers, fennel...). An olive lover, I appreciated the medley of fennel marinated olives. Will definitely recommend and return. Thanks!
Interesting and tongue-tickling flavor combinations. Loved this restaurant!
We had a lovely light dinner on the patio. The service is warm and professional and there was no pressure to order “big plates” even though we were taking up valuable real estate. The menu has a lot of variety but my go-to is the“Kari-Out” calamari dish; it is delicious with many layers of ingredients and flavors.
Don’t hestitste, go now!
All of the bunch menu was excellent, specifically the Benedict!
Incredible for brunch! Great food and incredible service.
Service was really fast and friendly! We weren’t rushed but the food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious! Also highly recommend their cold brew.
Always an enjoyable experience! Citrus Salad is falvorful and refreshing. Seasonal, freshly made pastries are phenomenal.
The food is interesting and creative. But there is a consistent issue with service. There never seems to be enough staff on to take care of the volume of customers. A drink order went unfilled because the server was simply so busy that they forgot. I believe that the staff are doing their utmost, but they are simply spread too thin.
Can’t say enough good things about the food here! Very good wine selection as well. Can get a little loud when crowded, but the food is worth it!
Every now and then a restaurant is able to pull together a perfect menu, creative cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere and great service. The fact that Rock Creek has been doing this consistently since it opened speaks volumes for its ownership and why this is my must visit restaurant whenever I’m in Seattle.
Wonderful oysters and smelt. Server a bit reluctant to correct bringing the wrong beer but otherwise a good meal. Noisy.
Fabulous food. Fish and shellfish are beautifully prepared, with delectable pairings of ingredients. Service was a bit spotty, perhaps an inexperienced server, but better training needed. He did a nice job of boning our fish, but left us to refill our own wine glasses throughout the meal. A minor but noticeable weak spot in an otherwise wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
