RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
- Surfaces sanitized between seatings
- Common areas deep cleaned daily
- Digital, disposable or sanitized menu provided
- Sealed or wrapped utensils used
- Limited number of seated diners
- Distancing maintained in common areas
- Extra space between tables
- Waitstaff wear masks
- Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking
- Sick staff prohibited in the workplace
The restaurant is beautiful as always, with an excellent happy hour menue, and some of the best cocktaila at a restaurant in the city. Extra important with so many of our bars still closed.
Great food and innovative combinations of some traditional seafood flavors. Great execution! Would definitely come again!
Honestly my favorite restaurant in Seattle. I love this place. From the moment you walk in the door the employees are smiling, friendly and professional. So glad they are back open. Of course we had the Kari-Out which is so great and the presentation is super cool and fun. We had the black cod and the whole snapper and both were fantastic. The Black Cod was to die for and like butter. I asked for a suggestion on a wine and our server provided a great choice with tasters. I didn’t see the price until the bill was dropped and it could have been high priced and I wouldn’t have complained but it was mid to low and was so appreciative. You have to have to key lime dessert! Can’t wait to go back.
I celebrated my move to Seattle with a lovely dinner at RockCreek! Being new to the area, I was in search of a quiet but lively atmosphere, great food and great drinks. RockCreek exceeded those expectations! The food was fresh and innovative, and they had a wonderful ambiance. Would definitely recommend!
was great to have Rock Creek open again. Food was good, but not exceptional. Was on deck, so was quieter than it has sometimes been inside.
RockCreek is our second choice over its sister, Flintcreek, which isn't open yet. We've been twice in two weeks - lovely to have a good meal in a nice restaurant.
This was my first time having dinner at RockCreek, and it certainly won't be my last! Knowledgable and attentive staff helped me and a friend navigate the menu to select what was best for us. The food itself could not have been better (the mussels bruschetta was a hit, don't skip it!), the drinks were delightful and the deck couldn't be beat. I cant wait to return.
I recommend starting with the “Kari-out calamari. Lots of crispy calamari with Asian vegetables and sauce, served in a carry out box. It’s plenty for two. I love the Opah made with Cajun sauce and creamy grits. There are some excellent vegetarian and meat choices as well, but the emphasis is ion beautiful fresh fish.
I would like a more generous glass of wine and cocktail. I thought they were pretty small.
Every dish I had (small plate, salad and entree) was great and that's rare. Even the cocktail was yummy! Server was very friendly and helpful. If there was one downside, I prefer to go before it gets really busy because the noise level picks up, making it harder to hear or having to talk louder. I sat inside both times. Will go back regardless.
Absolutely my favorite Seattle restaurant - hands down! Every bite is heaven :)
My friend and I first discovered RockCreek in Aug 2020. We were impressed by the quality of food, service, setup for air circulation, distancing, practices to sure everyone is safe. Definitely a hidden neighborhood gem!
Overall a wonderful experience, great food and service. Highly recommend saving room for the key lime pie!! 😋
The food and service at Rock Creek are outstanding. The tuna tartare is incredible, and the Icelandic Char was a treat. We just returned from a vacation in Hawaii, and the meal at Rock Creek was far better than any fresh fish dish we had on the island.
I'd have left a stellar review anyway, but the beignets on-the-house sealed the deal! Best restaurant in Seattle, hands down! Been coming for years, never had an even remotely mediocre bite. My wife and I expressed to each other that everything just perfectly melts with each bite, no matter the dish, apps-small plates-main-dessert. I made Mother's Day reservations as soon as we were back from our last dinner here if that's any indication of my/our affinity.
Excellent food and service, as always!!!
Fantastic seafood which isn't easily found in Seattle!
Everything was superb, from the butter with the bread service to the crispy skin Icelandic char. We had smooth buttery oysters and beautifully mixed cocktails. Excellent and attentive service. Will definitely be returning.
Food service and ambience were all superb. We enjoyed arctic char, lamb Ragu, mackerel, excellent cocktails and a creative dessert. Will be back as soon as the governor allows it!
Amazing food and service! Everything was so flavorful and fresh.
Simply the best! I love the food, ambiance and everything about this restaurant!
I really like this establishment and have always had a great meal! This last time was disappointing because I looked at the takeout menu prior to going and was told 2 of the items listed were not available and the menu had not been updated since prior to COVID. I highly suggest updating the menu items to ones that are available.
Great food and service!
We made a reservation via Open Table. When we arrived they did not have record of the reservation. They had run into this problem before with other folks who had multiple Open Table accounts. They were kind enough to let us know what happened and were able to seat us at a table in the bar.
Excellent service by the hostess!
At the bar, Cody was the bartender and our server. Super friendly and helpful with our menu questions and makes a great cocktail!
The food was excellent as usual. We were especially happy with the Prawns and the Sea Bass.
Definitely going back!
Wonderful meal and service!
Got tiny table by the stairs, so a lot of foot trafic, kind of uncomfortable. The table was not big enough for the plates we ordered, having wine glasses on top also makes it cumbersome. Food was ok, we had the octopus and calamari, both very good. The tuna tartar was just ok.
If you make a reservation, make sure to get a table for 4, otherwise you can get stuck with a tiny table.
Waitress and hostess are very friendly and courteous.
Never a bad meal or a missed step at Rockcreek. Everything you want and more for an elevated neighborhood spot.
Amazing food! We had oysters, 2 small plates and one main dish. Service was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
Both classic & unique takes on seafood. All super fresh, balanced (mostly) & some truly inventive dishes. Tried multiple offerings. Get oysters! Tartare had bit too much horseradish but we'll forever add it when making tuna @ home. Octopus & lamb excellent. Service exceptional! Only misstep was 'happy anniversary' @ very end vs start & no accompanying special treat from kitchen or bar. Regardless, we'd go back!
I have been at this restaurant many time, the food is delicious light but with lots of flavor.
I know times are tough during Covid but having a table right by the stair case and front door really ruined our special birthday celebration. It’s really poor service to sit someone with a reservation at the worst table in the restaurant yet walk ins get nicer more safe tables.
The tuna tartare was ruined by the spice level. You could taste the fish at all just the peppers. I wouldn’t recommend that.
Interesting cocktails. I had the Pheasant tail, a very complex Manhattan with ginger liqueur.
Excellent food and drinks menu, on the expensive side but worth it!
Incredible seafood & drinks! Great place for a first date, birthday, anniversary, or place to pop the question???
We had a lovely dinner at RockCreek. The cocktails, food, service, and ambiance were all top notch. Must try their oysters, that was probably our favorite bite! We did find the corkage fee high, but maybe that's standard in Seattle. Overall, highly recommend!
Wonderful experience over all, best oysters rockerfellers, or “Brockafellers” as they call them I’ve ever had. Knowledgeable staff, and all considering the pandemic, an enjoyable evening out.
Delicious food. Great service. Mask-wearing and social-distancing. A little bit cold inside, but overall great experience.
Best seafood in Seattle, hands down! Just love this place, it never disappoints!
Their happy hour tuna with an Old Fashioned or two is the bomb, then we split an appetizer and an entree and we are set. Having been going their for years.
This was my second experience at Rock Creek. The food is phenomenal and so is the environment. I will keep coming back!
