RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.

Great meal & service. Definitely worth venturing out after staying safe at home.
I really enjoyed our meal and the service was great! G&T was to die for.
The raw oysters out favorite. The halibut with fava beans in creme fresh was a delightful surprise. We’ll be back!
Inventive, delicious food. Attentive service. Quite noisy.
Sea bass and gem lettuce are MUSTS!! Highly recommend
Just moved to Seattle, from Austin and boyfriend was visiting from LA, and we wanted seafood. So many people recommended this place, so we were lucky to get a reservation! The laid back & friendly hostess gave us a choice of where we wanted to sit when we arrived and we chose a high top next to the bar which is the next best thing to actually sitting at the bar. (But of course the bars are closed right now because of ongoing Covid restrictions.) Our waiter/bartender was Adam, and he was incredibly easy going and helpful! Our drinks were amazing, the oysters were divine.. we also had the delicious bbq’d octopus, which was so tender and lovely, and yet it almost tasted like bbq’d ribs.. a little strange, but I really liked it. I also loved the Grouper we split, but boyfriend was meh on that. All in all the experience was fabulous, and loved the vibe. 5🌟 to Adam for a great experience!
Good food (especially the Grouper Fish) but the server was bad (sort of rude, not attentive).
The fish was great! That’s the main reason to go there, I feel.
Great restaurant. Wide selection of fish dishes. Had an amazing time!
Waitresses and hostess were rude and felt cold. They were unfriendly right from the start and they should have more training. Waiter was fine.
Rockcreek is such a culinary delight! My wife and I went for date night. We are both celiacs. There a so many gluten free options. The food is super fresh, creative and delicious. We were particularly impressed with the staff’s knowledge about hidden gluten (including soy sauce which so often is forgotten).
A must for seafood and cocktail lovers.
Food-wise, it's a quite good dining experience. The ingredients and seafood were very fresh. All dishes we ordered were very fresh and the drinks were delicious. However, not sure if the price is justifiable. All dishes were pretty small. Be ready to spend over $100 per person, if you want to have a drink or two, an entree, and some appetizers.
Safety - We were informed that all customers need to mask while not seated. But at the same time, tables were extremely close (it's an arm apart between our table and the next). I was not comfortable about that.
Now on to the deal breaker - It started pouring right before we left the restaurant. There was a sitting area with a bench near the entrance so we stood there while our friend tried to get an Uber. The hostess immediately told us to "not stand in the walkway (?)". But then it was ok that we moved to wait right in front of the entrance where it's actually the walkway (?!). Again, it felt way less safe that we all crammed there. Or were we supposed to wait in the heavy rain? This is why I decided we won't return.
A constant favorite, especially as someone who works in the restaurant industry. I’m never disappointed.
RockCreek remains an outstanding dining experience in the post-COVID world. The food hasn’t slipped at all, and remains simply fantastic. All of the fish is extremely fresh and of highest quality. Wine selection is very good. The service is attentive, friendly, and well timed. Staff remain masked at all times. RockCreek was our first meal out in a year and a half, and an anniversary to boot, it was more than perfect for the occasion. Thank you!
They seated me is terrible table. The
White wine by the glass was poor.
The filet of sole was drenched with too much oil.
Anna, our waitperson was exceptional.
TY so much!
I used to love coming here.
I tip well, I'm friendly, and certainly not a *demanding* guest.
I know things have changed. Things have changed for me at MY job and it's not great, but the the woman at the front desk is consistently rude and unfriendly. Consistently.
It's puzzling and QUITE off-putting. I don't need to spend money where I'm not treated with the slightest modicum of respect and friendliness the moment I walk in the door.
I won't be back.
Fresh seafood - well prepared! Lovely outdoor dining area
Great first meal out with friends post pandemic after getting our vaccinations. Modern high ceiling space with wooden finishes. Felt safe with all the staff masked and the tables were kept at a good distant from each other, the large garage door/window was wide open for ventilation.
Our meal was delicious, shared some starters, my particular favorite was the mussels bruschetta and the Hawaii hamachi crudo. Because I could not decide on which main course to order, I chose 2 small plates, the Grilled Norwegian Mackerel salad, which was so deliciously balanced and the second dish the Barbecue Spanish Octopus. This dish however, I was a little disappointed with, it was too salty and the beans overpowered the Octopus flavor, which I also found too soft, I prefer it to have a bit of crunch. My husband loved his Blackened Grouper. Fantastic evening delicious cocktails and food. Can’t wait to come back again!
Staff was FANTASTIC & food was DELICIOUS. 3 split plates and a good bottle of sparkling for $100 out the door... Can't beat it:D
Food and service was great
The meal was outstanding and the weather at our outside table was wonderful (although RockCreek probably can't take credit for that). The service staff was attentive. Although RockCreek ran out of the beer I had initially ordered, the one I ordered was one I hadn't tried before but was great: a new experience. RockCreek is one of our gotos for a generally excellent meal.
Amazing service and food. if we lived in the area we would be regulars! Everything outstanding1
Excellent and top-shelf seafood. Overall, great experience!
First time dining in..It didn't disappoint us. We celebrated our anniversary and had a great experience. We'll definitely recommend it.
Took a while to get food, even though we ordered drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts at the same time.
Food was excellent and vibe was calm but classy!
First dinner out post-Covid lockdown! Back to a neighborhood fave. Did not disappoint.
We weren't sure about the menu at first but decided to try some new things and absolutely LOVED everything we ordered! We went with our server's recommendations on a lot and they were spot on - even the drinks were perfect!
Really good food and service although parking is a little bit challenging to find during busy hours.
Always superlative food & presentation, very thoughtful table spacing in & out poised for reopening. Food is spectacular & appreciation of reopening is evident throughout staff
Had the most memorable post pandemic experience ever by visiting a trusted favorite-everything was amazing !
Outstanding seafood and great service. Very special restaurant in Seattle.
This was an outstanding meal at a beautiful location. The ambiance and atmosphere was lovely. The service was hasty but our server seemed less than thrilled to be serving us- She seemed upset that we did not order a starter or dessert which made us feel like a paycheck rather than a guest.
It was so good to be back at RockCreek, one of our favorite restaurants. From the moment we stepped up to the host stand, we felt welcomed and accommodated to our request for a deck table. Yes, we had to wait, but we were able to enjoy the sun and they texted us when the table was ready. The service was gracious and efficient, true professionals. Every dish is so layered with flavors, you want to try them all! We shared the mussel bruschetta (lovely presentation but difficult to eat since the bread is so thick......we managed though ;)) We love the calamari “Kari-out”, but the lamb pasta with English Peas was divine.
The food is amazing! We ordered the Heirloom Cauliflower as a starter, then the Neah Bay Rougheye Rockfish and the Baja Cabrilla Grouper as our mains. We were so happy with everything and were particularly impressed in the Heirloom Cauliflower. Great date night spot!
We chose this restaurant because of the wide selection of seafood, and full bar. We were not disappointed. Oysters were great. The hamachi crudo appetizer was fabulous, I was tempted to order the meal version, but instead went with the Opah. Wife (who is not a seafood lover, too bad for her) got a pasta with favas peas and artichoke (not out of a jar!). very good. Key lime pie for dessert. Everything was fabulous, my only problem was deciding what to order.
Service was great, and the bartender came over and gave us special attention in a very conscientious (sp) way. I cant wait to go back next time I'm in Seattle.
Food is outstanding.
Absolutely fantastic experience- unbelievably good- Service was wonderful(Sara) and seafood was so flavorful and fresh. I’m so bummed I just discovered it as I am moving to Az in 2 weeks. When I visit- I will for sure return!
The food was amazing and the drinks too. I loved the place and my dinner, but when my husband got a fly in his half full drink and we told the waitress, her answer was to offer getting a utensil to get the fly out. I don’t know if it’s normal to drink or eat things that have insects, but to me that’s disgusting. We paid our check, left the drink and left. I understand that when dining in a terrace area these things happen, but I would have hoped another type of answer from the person tending to our table. Taking the drink away and not charging it would have been nice, but I don’t think anyone would want to continue drinking it, even without covid in the air. I think it is a nice place, and the waitress was kind, but I think she did not respond well to the situation. Maybe more training?
