RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
Had three apps and two small plates split between two people.... Would give 5 star for all but clams... okay but not great... key lime pie awesome... waitress great very attentive. .... would definitely return.....
The ambience, service and food was amazing enough that we will be returning and recommending to our friends and clients.
Delicious meal in a neat setting. Loved sitting upstairs
Wonderful place with interesting and delicious food. Super friendly service. Ordering family style recommended but not required. Short but nice list of wines and cocktails, as well as a selection of excellent mocktails.
Food was delicious. One small plate was amazing, the other was ok. One entree was amazing, the other was pretty good. The menu is kind of too long.
Fresh seafood, great service, and tasty drinks. Really well seasoned, plated, and thought out food.
Had never been during brunch, but what a surprise! Good menu, delicious food and cocktail offerings, all at very reasonable prices!
Absolutely love this restaurant. We frequent various restaurants across Seattle, but I always find something new and interesting at RockCreek. I love the atmosphere and the food is the best. We live downtown and still make an effort to get here every couple of months.
All I can say is WOW! Might be a little hard to find because it’s imbedded in a great neighborhood vibe. Reservations are recommended because it’s small but absolutely worth it. We sat at the bar and ordered several small plates. The barkeep was incredible, informative and a lot of fun. All the staff was smiling and in good spirits dealing with the busy environment. Seafood selection was outstanding, exploding with flavor. Steamed clams were as large and flavorable as they come and the mackerel salad a wonderful surprise!
This restaurant served the best fish we had on our weeklong visit to Seattle. We enjoyed the tone of the restaurant, the food and the feel of the place. We were very pleased and would recommend this restaurant to any friend!
Service was a bit off so we got a small plate for no charge, and they were out of some things we typically order because “that happens by Sunday night.” But the drinks and food were delicious as always
Loved the idea of the restaurant, but the execution wasn’t there. Cozy dining space that resembled a cabin. Service was professional but not warm at all, and it was difficult to get our server’s attention. Food would have been good but all the flavors were masked by the insane amount of salt they put in the dishes. We were excited to get bread but the bread was colder than my cocktail. I wish I were exaggerating. Would return if the food weren’t so salty, but wouldn’t recommend to friends and family right now because of that and unfriendly service.
extremely knowledgeable staff. superb treatment of unique fish dishes. Best seafood in the City! thank you!
Cozy, pleasant - conducive to conversation for our part of 4. Black cod and calamari were excellent. Unfortunately thy ran out of monk fish.
Wonderful. Everything was exceptional
Absolutely! My kind of place. Excellent seafood, great local craft brews, informal atmosphere and engaging staff. I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could.
In my opinion, RockCreek Seafood & Spirits is the best seafood restaurant in Seattle. And my latest trip to the restaurant once again confirms that opinion. We had the Heirloom Cauliflower starter, the "Kari Out" Calamari and Totten Inlet Mussels Bruschetta small plates, and the Neah Bay Black Cod and Oregon Petrale Sole entrees. Every aspect of each one of these dishes was prepared to perfection. The flavors, textures, and presentation was absolutely fabulous. It was an exceptional culinary experience.
This is the best seafood in town and has such wonderful preparations. Since it’s a bit expensive, we save it for celebrations but so well worth it. Go on a week night to avoid the loud crowds since it’s very popular!
Bday for my mom, she loved it.
Almost perfect. Just all dishes and drinks took very long time to come to the table, and restaurant was not full.
I always bring family here when they’re in town and today was a great opportunity to do that. We had a great meal and an amazing time!
Please tell the hostess that people make reservations because they want a decent table. We were seated in a corner near the storage closet despite empty tables in better locations. Asked to change and were accommodated. No server for first 15 minutes, one of our drinks was made incorrectly. Food is good, the space is cool, the music is great. No reason to return though.
Great dinner- great service! Recommend! Whole Branzino was excellent!
Brunch selections were great. We both loved our choices except I ordered my eggs over medium and they were more like a hardboiled egg. Our service person was so nice I decided to just eat them. Cinnamon roll is spectacular! Will return.
Best restaurant in Seattle to our tastes for both brunch and dinner.
Great food with fun and creative presentation. Wonderful ambiance and great service.
I have been eager to get to RockCreek Seafood and Spirits for sometime. I have heard amazing things from others in Seattle so maybe my expectations were just very high. I was disappointed in both the food and the happy hour cocktails. We ordered all 3 happy hour cocktails and all 3 seemed "meh" which is sad for pretty standard cocktails: Old Fashion, Moscow Mule, and French 75. The Mule was too lime heavy and the Old Fashion watered down (granted they do use regular ice not one rock ice). The food was also a bit underwhelming. Again we ordered off the happy hour menu and didn't find anything that stuck out or would make me want to go back to have again. I'll be happy to return to give it another shot but I may stick to wine and ordering off the regular dinner menu. The restaurant itself is lovely and I imagine on a nice day with the door open the patio area is fantastic.
The food was amazing!! Such creative and delicious dishes; very impressed.
Food is great!
The place is just too loud. Not recommended for intimate or special occasion dining.
No gluten free dessert options.
The staff at RockCreek was incredible. From our hostess to our server, the service here was top notch. We were running late, and I called the restaurant. Our hostess bent over backwards to keep our table and ensure we'd be able to enjoy our evening. Our server was attentive but not intrusive.
Brunch- I had the Tarpit which is eggs Benedict meets biscuit and gravy. Delicious and not too much. Gravy wasn’t thick and blobby but more saucy. Great service, nice selection of breakfasty and lunchy items. We sat upstairs, 9am reservation and it never filled up.
Had an incredible time for A Saturday date. The food was exceptional (mussels in Romesco were a real winner) as was the wine choice. Great atmosphere as well! Can’t wait to come back.
Love the food but it is very loud
Perfectly prepared fish and great small plate options. Everything was fantastic and the service was excellent.
My husband and I were in Seattle for 6 days. I had researched great places to visit and one restaurant in particular caught my eye in a blog. The blogger said that whenever he is in Seattle he has to eat at RockCreek Seafood & Spirits . It's a quick taxi, car or uber ride from downtown Seattle and is more than worth leaving the downtown area for. The restaurant itself is very cool. Just love the inside and outside design. Our waiter was wonderful-explained a few of the fish dishes and was at our table when we needed anything. The food was AMAZING! We shared a cauliflower appetizer which was so unique and delicious. My husband had a seafood stew and I had the sole. We are from the Boston area and have eaten plenty of terrific seafood dishes, but this was one of the best seafood meals we've ever had. Desserts are yummy too!
This would be a 5 star but for the noise level at the restaurant which is totally overwhelming! Food was all GREAT! Service very attentive, but didn't hear a thing said all night.
Rock Creek was ok. Was expecting fantastic fish and great cocktails. The black cod was fantastic, the rest of the meal, cauliflower, prawns, and smelt were just good. The cocktails were trying too hard and not delivering.
This was our second visit, and it more than lived up to our very good first meal. We'll definitely be bumping this up higher in our rotation.
The oysters and black cod were excellent. The calamari in the Kari-Out dish was soft and good, but there was too much dressing in the salad. We ordered decaf coffee which was lukewarm. Our server was pleasant enough, but not overly friendly. Restaurant was busy and loud.
Fantastic brunch - highly recommend!!!! Great service and excellent food.
