RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
What Insiders Are Saying
Rockcreek Seafood & Spirits in Fremont is a great place for fresh seafood, and pretending like you caught your own fish in the wild.
The food and service are great. The noise is deafening but not as bad after a cocktail.
Really delicious creative food! Great service. Cool interior.
Sea lice on oyster shooters, my birthday dinner. Service staff not knowledgeable nor especially friendly.
We love rock creek for amazing innovative fresh food and delicious deserts. Could be the season but this time the food wasn’t that great. The salads and fresh appetizers weren’t there. I loved the beets with tarragon and the tomatoes with pickled onion but there was nothing like that this time. Black garlic Caesar was too heavily dressed. The bigger plate of tuna was a lot of flesh and too light on accompaniments.
I would recommend the location, the roosted hen and service. I would not recommend the Bloody Mary(bland and no flavor) or the Banh Mi sandwich (wring bread).
Lovely setting, delicious food. The waiter was fairly new and didn't know the answers to our questions, but he was able to get the answers.
Food was good, not sure if you get value for money, some dishes could be improved the vinaigrette in the crudo tuna was overwhelming, the breading in the calamari was poorly done.. it needs to stick to the calamari... that's basic..
You need to pay more attention to your customers. If you ask to have no spicy food b/c there are two children at the table, you just serve no spicy food, period. You do not bring food that has some spicy sauce in it and say "it is difficulty to judge how spicy food is going to be..." That's a lame answer...
I've visited RockCreek before and have had overall good experiences with the fried oyster dishes (po' boy and benedict.)
This time I ordered the shrimp and grits and for the price paid, I expected more than 1/4C grits and 4 shrimp. I finished before everyone else and was still hungry a half hour later. Tasty, but not satiating at all.
Our go to place for seafood in Seattle. The dishes are always amazing with creative preparations. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Seafood was a bit over cooked. Had a couple periods with no wine and needing to flag a server down.
hands down best seafood in seattle. Love the restaurant, food, drinks, and service. Such a delight every single time. the only downside is the noise level.
Coming from a person that knows how to cook fish, RockCreek really knows how to cook fish! I've only been twice with the same other two people both times, there hasn't been a miss yet. If we had a gripe, we found the oyster bruschetta small plate awkward to share, but it is a small plate and not an appetizer, and it was quite good! As if out of nowhere, the waitstaff there and at Flyntcreek knew the menu and it's ingredients. They were able to speak for the kitchen, none of this "I'll have to check with the chef," nonsense. They were also good servers, simply put. The Ono fish was a smash. I had the monkfish dish. I liked how it tasted and the broth was good but I have no basis for comparison as I've never had it before.. The fin and shell stew was the winner. The tomato sauce that it's in is electric. Seriously, it is the best use of tomato in any sauce that I've ever had. Although it's a seafood stew, if you like tomatoes, this is the one. The first time we were there I had the Yellow fin. It came with two very complimentary sauces. One spicy and one that is based in hoisin (I can't say for sure but it was something close to that). If you like a little heat it's wonderful. Also that calamari they have is really good. I would lose the Asian take out box it comes in because it hides the beauty of the salad and dresing it is in. That wont stop me from ordering it next time. Tip your servers people!
Went for Sunday Brunch. Food was outstanding. Be sure and make a reservation. Will definitely be going back soon.
loved the cocktails; food was interesting and lovely.
a little loud for me, though.
Delicious food, at a reasonable price. Service was somewhat detached, but certainly more than adequate. I'll go back.
This is the first time we had been to Rock Creek for brunch. It was really excellent - the three of us had three different scrambles, and everyone was happy!
Best meal out in a long time.
We had a lovely experience on a busy night. Our server was amazing and was informative as a member of our party had some dietary restrictions. The food was incredibly.
Creative delicious plates to share or covet ! Fun ambience , cozy in winter and party on the deck in summer :-)
The calamari is a must-share. We also split a delicious shaved cauliflower salad.
The black cod was perfectly cooked. The prawns and grits were super flavorful
The ono was so spicy hot it lost its flavor, as did the polenta. I spent the entire meal trying to find a bite that had taste and ended up with a numb mouth. Please inform patrons when spicing a dish so strongly.
Good place. Croque madame was a winner. Beignets, croissant and salad were good but just that: not memorable, per se.
A very user friendly brunch assortment, from buttermilk pancakes to fried oysters. Oysters Benedict came in a deconstructed mode with bacon and homemade brioche which kept everything fresh and deliciously distinctive, but was sheer perfection when the flavors were combined. This place never disappoints and consistently provides a happy dining experience. Glad we live nearby.
Adam was a Fantastic bartender. Food and staff were fabulous. Great atmosphere.
Everything was outstanding. The only reason for one less star was the scrambled eggs were barely warm. We did not send them back, but it was unfortunate because everything else was exceptionally great.
Excellent meal. Super fresh seafood and comfortable decor.
Fantastic offering of a variety of fish and seafood!. Three of us at a table of four had the Neah Bay Black Cod. Mine had no texture and was overly "mushy" so the sauce had to save the dish. The other two reported their cod was semi-firm and they enjoyed it. I should have sent mine back but I was raised to eat what is put in front of you. We will return. Friendly staff, atmosphere, and fish options galore! Be advised to download the Diamond Parking app and register your credit card before traveling to the restaurant and you will be able to park at the small lot nearby.
Seafood was amazing. Fresh, interesting sauces, great service.
Definitely a seafood/fish lover's dream of a restaurant. The grilled octopus was done to perfection and served with a delightful complement of white beans and tomato. We enjoyed two delicious entrees - the black cod(sablefish) and the Icelandic char. Both were cooked perfectly, with a moist meat and a charred skin. Each had a complement of flavors and textures that added to the dish without masking the flavor of the fish.
We have always enjoyed the service here, but our recent visit was outstanding. Casey was warm, casual, and informative without any sense of being rushed. She listened and responded to questions easily, made great suggestions, and made us feel like her special guests.
Excellent seafood with distinctive preparation.
Noise level can be very high.
So many good items to chose from on the brunch menu. I will have to go back multiple times.
Food was prompt, delicious. Service was excellent. Staff very attentive and pleasant.
This is our favorite seafood restaurant in seattle. The seafood is fresh and local. Lots of choices. The drinks and desserts are amazing. Ambiance is warm and casual. Service is always good. Highly recommend.
RockCreek is always great! The waitress was nice and the food was on point and done perfectly.
Love this place. We have only been for brunch or lunch. Very comfortable environment. Great food. NIce service. Family friendly.
Terrific food, service and cocktails. The black cod is amazing. Consistently great experience every time. Be prepared to spend a little more, and speak a little louder than normal, but you won't be disappointed.
Smashing food and service
Amazing food, cozy atmosphere! Highly, highly recommend to any foodies who enjoy good quality seafood !!
