RockCreek Seafood & Spirits
Our menu centers around globally sourced seafood from well managed fisheries; with offerings of local Northwest familiars like crab, oysters and mussels, to more tropical fish like Kona Kampachi or Hawaiian Ono, and East Coast staples like Striped Bass. Our preparations emphasize fresh ingredients that arrive daily, and pronounced flavors from around the world.
Our urban-industrial two-story ‘fishing lodge’ was built with local and reclaimed resources by Dovetail Construction and Marian Built. Our tables were crafted from bark-beetle pine, and we even found a home for our favorite re-purposed farm equipment! Our space includes the main dining area, our killer bar, a large modern patio and an upstairs loft and private dining room.
What Insiders Are Saying
Rockcreek Seafood & Spirits in Fremont is a great place for fresh seafood, and pretending like you caught your own fish in the wild.
Beautiful little spot with excellent food, exceptional service. This is exactly what I look for when I go out for a meal. Well done!
The food was ok but the service was great. My biggest complaint was the noise, it was so loud! Not a place for shy, quiet introverts.
The fish is the central point of this place. It's in the name and its definitely in the menu. The cod and branzino are excellent as are some of the smaller plates.
They also make EXCELLENT cocktails. I had two daddy long legs, which are a rye based drink with amaro and some bitters; very well balanced and delicious.
One cone: If you're coming here for steak and meat, you may be disappointed. This can't really be a con if you've read and understood the NAME of the place.
Spectacular food. Knowledgeable service. Excellent playlist.
We came here for my birthday. It was our first time here. I really enjoyed the interior. We sat at a 2 person table next to the stairs and it felt very roomy even though there were tables on either side of us. We had the Branzini and now I know how to fillet a fish. I may have to get it the next time I come in so I can do it (it was really delicious), but there are so many amazing choices on the menu, I think I may have to try something different. For our appetizers we had the Oysters Brockafeller and the Lopez Island scallops. Both very tasty and satisfying. Nice portion on the scallops.
But the best part for me was dessert! Since I'm gluten free it's hit or miss whether I get dessert at all. It doesn't say so on the menu, but the peanut butter bomb is gluten free and it's AMAZING. It reminded me of icebox cake I ate as a kid, only better. That was a nice birthday present all by itself.
And, last but not least, our server was wonderful, the hostess was charming and joyful and overall I just really loved the vibe in there. We'll be back for sure!
Amazing food with complex flavors, local ingredients and great service. Loved the cauliflower, black cod and mackerel. Our table was in a high-traffic area, which made for a less than stellar experience, but still worth it. Will ask for a tucked-away table next time.
My always go to Place for outstanding service and the best in seafood preparation .
Great place for dinner. We love the small plates! Keep 'em coming!
Food is great but pricey. Drinks are way to skimpy for the price.
Amazing, as always. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and nice!
Excellent service and food preparation! Also loved the diverse seafood on the menu -- it was so difficult to choose, and all 4 of us shared and enjoyed it all. All staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
This was a great experience and a delicious place to enjoy local food. The dessert (a peanut butter banana bomb) was surprising and delicious!
Great food and fabulous service! We ordered a couple different plates to share and loved everything
Always quality seafood and amazing execution. Service was spot on as well. Try the black cod and ahi tartar.
Excellent and creative food especially liked the yellow tail, oysters and shrimp n grits. Our waitress was stylish and appropriately present and looked like a Viking goddess.
Outstanding food. Venue appears to have been an old house at one tome. Very noisy on a Sunday night. Difficult to have conversation at table if you're looking for that. Food was fantastic. Would definitely go back for that.
We were visiting from Chicago and found this gem on Trip Advisor. I have traveled around the world and dined at some of the finest restaurants. The four of us felt that this might have been the best overall meal we have ever had. Our server, Casey was so helpful and sweet. We shared 3 small plates; octopus, olives, tuna tartar. Two of us had the cod. Cod is usually relegated to fish and chips. This cod was impeccable. We also had the grouper and the fish/fin chowder (cioppino). For dessert we had Key Lime Pie and the banana chocolate combo. I will head straight to Rock Creek on our next visit to Seattle
I usually love Rock Creek but the piece of fish on Saturday was not very good. Very fishy tasting which means this piece was not particularly fresh or a cut that included less than prime part of the fish. The oysters and smelt were up to par and delicious however
Avoid sitting next to the kitchen as noise level can be high.
Calamari appetizer had too much sauce. Branzino was a bit dry and brand. But overall a good dining experience with a good ambiance.
Great service, fabulous food, amazing drinks! What else could you wish for?
We were fairly well taken care of overall. Except of course when it came time to ask for the check, delaying our exit. Food was fine but we found few opportunities to work around foods with which we have problems (everything had onions!).
Great seafood. Noise levels very high - difficult to have a conversation without yelling at one another.
Outstanding food and service. Noisy is only complaint.
Loved the cod dish and the wine. Excellent service and atmosphere!
Oysters and cod were fantastic. Presentation was simple and very appealing.
I like eating at quieter places, so I’d encourage that. Also I’d love a French toast option. Overall, Rock Creek is a favorite brunch spot when I want to not do a diner. At least there’s stuff on the menu I recognize. I’m kind of done with the places where I don’t recognize half the stuff; it’s too overdone in Seattle.
Fantastic restaurant, excellent food and service. Loved the monkfish!
Excellent food and attentive service. The menu is imaginative and the wine list is very nice
The food is outstanding, and the service is perfectly sweet. This is a popular place, so be sure to reserve in advance. This is not a place for someone who is mobility impaired, as there are a number of steps and no ramp or elevator. That said, the staff will do whatever they can to make it work.
The BEST! Top 5 restaurants in Seattle for me. The cocktails are amazing as is their weekend brunch.
The food and service are great. The noise is deafening but not as bad after a cocktail.
Really delicious creative food! Great service. Cool interior.
Sea lice on oyster shooters, my birthday dinner. Service staff not knowledgeable nor especially friendly.
We love rock creek for amazing innovative fresh food and delicious deserts. Could be the season but this time the food wasn’t that great. The salads and fresh appetizers weren’t there. I loved the beets with tarragon and the tomatoes with pickled onion but there was nothing like that this time. Black garlic Caesar was too heavily dressed. The bigger plate of tuna was a lot of flesh and too light on accompaniments.
I would recommend the location, the roosted hen and service. I would not recommend the Bloody Mary(bland and no flavor) or the Banh Mi sandwich (wring bread).
Lovely setting, delicious food. The waiter was fairly new and didn't know the answers to our questions, but he was able to get the answers.
Food was good, not sure if you get value for money, some dishes could be improved the vinaigrette in the crudo tuna was overwhelming, the breading in the calamari was poorly done.. it needs to stick to the calamari... that's basic..
You need to pay more attention to your customers. If you ask to have no spicy food b/c there are two children at the table, you just serve no spicy food, period. You do not bring food that has some spicy sauce in it and say "it is difficulty to judge how spicy food is going to be..." That's a lame answer...
I've visited RockCreek before and have had overall good experiences with the fried oyster dishes (po' boy and benedict.)
This time I ordered the shrimp and grits and for the price paid, I expected more than 1/4C grits and 4 shrimp. I finished before everyone else and was still hungry a half hour later. Tasty, but not satiating at all.
Our go to place for seafood in Seattle. The dishes are always amazing with creative preparations. Highly recommend this restaurant.
