Very nice as always.
Celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary, which I noted on the reservation and we were seated in a booth near the bar. The restaurant wasn’t half full at 5pm on a cold and rainy Sunday evening. The bartender had 14 guest at the bar and had to wait on us and three other booths. She was overwhelmed and shouldn’t have been placed in that predicament, but our food was good and hot.
My husband and I decided to go to brunch - just the two of us.
I come every year for my birthday and look forward to it, but my tuna which I asked for medium was dry. Too many sweet potato fries, good salad.
It was a very nice place to celebrate my birthday!
Love it again and again.
Food was great and excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definately go there again.
Two of the dinners were overcooked and my fries were greasy and cold had to send them back.
Service was not good, and our food came out warm at best. My husband’s medium-rare steak came out well done. Very disappointed.
We drove two hours to meet family for a Birthday lunch and were not disappointed. We found RockBass Grill through an online search had never been there before but we can't wait for an excuse to make a return trip! The food and service was exceptional. Our server made our meal very special.
We love seafood and your chicken Parmesan! Nice view of Harrisburg city lights as well as the river. Waiters and waitresses are nice and courteous.
Perhaps they should purchase more wine glasses. I was presented with a dripping wet wine glass which contained merlot. The water was running down the glass into the wine. The server said, "sorry it's wet, we ran out of glasses and had to wash some." Not okay! Otherwise, the food was hot, flavorful and nice sized portions.
Our overpriced mediocre food was served cold after we waited for quite a while in a loud dining room
Warm, worn, cozy, very impressive. All positives. The food was outstanding!! View was beautiful. This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised! Felt like we were on a getaway instead of here at home. It’s hard to find a local non-chain restaurant that has all this in a relaxed atmosphere.
Awesome food. Never disappoints!
Rock Bass Grill is consistently a fine place to go for dinner. The menu has lots of options and the view of the Susquehanna River and the Harrisburg skyline is lovely at night. As the noise level was moderate, we had no problem conversing. I ordered the trout, which was delicious. My friend ordered one of the appetizers and a small salad. We were both quite pleased with our choices.
We had a really nice evening food was awesome and the view of the river was beautiful
Absolutely amazing! My wife and I had a great time and will be back!
Food was good. Waitress was no where to be found for at least 29 mins before we even ordered drinks or our meal. She was not very attentive. Did not offer to refill coffee. Overall experience was good even with the lack of good service.
Wonderful meal great service!
Scenic views and great service today. Food portions are large and delicious. Have not been here for a while due to spotty service and food quality, but today was great.
We met with friends for lunch and sat for almost 2 hours after paying our bill and talked, uninterrupted by staff. It was so pleasant as we are only in town once a year. Our lunches were very good and perfect portions. Our server was very nice to us!
Food was delicious and service was great. We enjoyed the fresh catch of the day. The wood fired grilled fish was magnificent.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Have never had a bad meal. I usually always get fish but decided to try the filet this time and wasn't disappointed at all. Had sauteed mushrooms with it. It practically melted in your mouth and was cooked perfectly. I will definitely have it again. The baked potato was so big I asked the waitress to bring me a box before I even started eating and cut it in half. Can't wait to go again.
This establishment never fails at anything. The total experience is always first class.
Rock Bass did a fantastic job for Valentines Day. Great food great Service and great ambiance.
Valentine’s dinner was amazing the food was amazing service was good!
Rock Bass is a nice restaurant. Quiet. Good for special occasions and for dates. Food was very good.
Usually has good fish, well prepared, but the seafood pot pie was not good, crust soggy and filling too soupy.
We had a reservation, were seated and after about 10 min , no waitress yet, another couple was seated behind us, and another 5 min went by, no sign of a waitress to even take our drink order, finally a waitress appears only to serve the couple behind us first!! She then comes to our table and tells us “sorry, the bartender was to be your waitress but she said she’s too busy”!!!!! You would think that if you have a reservation that the restaurant would make sure there is coverage at said table!! And they weren’t even busy!! It took a good 45 min to get our food and it was luke warm and sub-par!! We didn’t even finish our meals!! Almost two hours later and a bill of $78.00 ,$93.00 with tip because it wasn’t our waitresses fault, we were left feeling completely ripped off and will never go back! This was our first and last time dining at Rock Bass. So disappointing.
The rating was split between my husband and I. I had the stuffed flounder, sweet potato casserole and cucumber salad. Everything was delicious! However, my husband had some kind of steak (not sure what it was), cucumber salad and roasted red potatoes(?). He complained to me that the steak was very tough and grissley. He also said that it appeared as if the potatoes he was served were not red potatoes. For the price he paid for his meal he was not happy. I know he has eaten better steaks at lesser priced steak houses. As for the potatoes, I cannot say. To me they did not look like red potatoes either. As for my meal I was very pleased. Neither one had dessert as we were quite stuffed from all the food we had already eaten.
Never had a bad meal here. Portion sizes are large, so come hungry or commit to a take-out box. Seafood is always fresh and they have the best brunch in town (sticky buns are AMAZING!). Service is good, but waited 10 mins till someone came to take our drink order.
Great food. Great service. Harrisburg area’s best seafood. Really enjoyed it. My 12 year old foodie gives it 2 thumbs up.
The lovely river view is wonderful. The food is good. Service was attentive but not obtrusive.
Took the sea bass on the grill ... was not fresh probably was defrost... was too small for the price I paid and taste was no special..,
Very good food and view of river, due to weather there was a shortage of servers. Normally service is much better, the server did the best she could considering the extra tables she had to handle
Great seafood for Pennsylvania. Reasonably priced. Great wait staff. Best fried mozzarella ever.
My husband and I went to the RockBass Grill 2 nights after we got married for a nice dinner. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was so sweet and made sure our night was special. We did reservations (which were extremely easy to make online), and even though it wasn’t a busy night, they had everything ready for us. The food was delicious and I would definitely come back again. Thank you for a memorable evening with my new husband.
the server "Karen" i believe was very upbeat. the food however is oversized and overpriced, especially the salads...not sure WHO can eat an entire bag of lettuce in one meal.
the food does not taste or look like it was fresh made versus frozen and boiled in a bag.
we had a few small special requests like put items on the side, toast the muffin etc and none were observed by the kitchen staff.
also we were sat at a booth and frankly the table is so large that when you have to climb up a step to get in and the oversized table only leave a few inches to squeeze in, its tricky
Food was outstanding. Waitress was very friendly but there was not enough staff to handle all the customers.
