The service is great. Food is fantastic!! Ambiance is beautiful. 1st experience was incredible. Classy!
A hidden gem...went after work on a Thursday with some friends. Was glad to be seated outside because there was slightly less noise (people and DJ). Food was great and prices were affordable, I would recommend for happy hour get together.
Nice place for a friendly get together. nice music.
Awesome service from the three young ladies at the desk to the waiter. He was simply awesome. It was so busy and he was so calm and gracious to us. Lovers our night
We had a great experience -the music was just a little loud for the dining area.
The first thing you notice when you walk in here is how loud it is. The room just echos noise. They have big tables with comfortable chairs, but they keep you far away from the other people at your table so you can't hear anything.
The appetizers were disappointing. The nachos are served with potato chips instead of corn chips and it just doesn't go well together. The philly cheesesteak egg rolls were good, but 2 egg rolls cut in half for $14 is crazy even for NYC.
The burger came out so oddly hot that it had to have been microwaved. It was overcooked, under seasoned, and just generally bad. The crispy chicken sandwich was also overcooked and flavorless.
The service was great. No issues there.
The fact that a small vodka soda is $15 dollars is absolutely outrageous. We were also charged $30 for a double which was hardly a double. I was there with 3 friends for 2 hours and our bill was $625 only $75 of which was food. Ridiculous and I won’t be returning and also letting others know what a total ripoff it is.
Have been here before and the food and ambiance and everything were fantastic! There was a DJ this time and it was incredibly loud. Lots of little things added up—food wasn’t as good, servers didn’t come to the table much, bathrooms were messy.
The food and service are usually just ok, the bar staff is moderately friendly, but there is a very nice outdoor sitting area. I would recommend this place for ambiance over food and service.
It was a last minute decision and we're glad we made it!
We found the apps to be spot on. They were tasty and came out quick. Our food was good but I preferred the apps. We will be back for that. Also our waitress,Vivian, was great. She was personable and made us feel at home.
Service was initially very slow. Lots of servers and no one coming around. Took over 15 minutes to even place our order. Then we had two servers who both brought a bill. Really need to get their service staff organized. Place was really nice though and food was decent!
Food was acceptable. Noise level was at the upper end of ok. Waitress was almost attentive.
Rock & Reilly's was the absolute perfect setting for a professional business breakfast meeting! I always say that "you can't find a quiet place in New York City, or if you do, you can't afford it". Rock & Reilly's broke my prediction. Great food choices, impeccable service, and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere where you can actually TALK without screaming. I recommend highly.
The music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other.
Overall good experience with one exception being the music level. It’s extremely hard to have a conversation or hear another person throughout most of the place. I think it’s possible to keep the music loud for people to enjoy without preventing customers from being able to have a conversation.
We had a group of 7 come in before a show on Sunday afternoon. We were early for our reservation but they were great in accommodating us and setting us up at a slightly secluded table (surrounded by greenery) which made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The only complaint we had was the service was a little slow. We all had empty glasses and our plates had been taken away but no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks, dessert etc, I had to go looking for our server. Other than that the food was delicious as were the drinks. Would definitely go back.
Happy that I stopped in for a late breakfast. Portions were a good size (full belly when I left), service was good, nice atmosphere (high ceilings, nice bar area and atrium area). Not overly priced (for breakfast) but plan to pay $25 - $40 a person - all in (tax and tip). I will be back if in the neighborhood again.
So loud you couldn’t hear the person next to you, poor food quality, dishes arrived cold...avoid this place. The only consolation was the good service.
We were going to a show at the Hammerstein Ballroom but would also be good for Madison Square Garden. It had a great energetic vibe, fun, casual but upscale. Choice of high top (outdoor) or cozier indoor dining. Fun music, drinks and eats! Will be back.
Went to Rock & Reilly for brunch yesterday. We sat in the glass rooftop section. It was a sunny day, and the room is very nice. The food was fine (not great). I had eggs Benedict. The service was fine (not great. One of my dining companions asked for soda 3x before the waitress brought it). But the music was deafening. We asked the waitress if they could lower the volume, but she said no—there was going to be a party in 2 hours. Not sure her answer makes any sense. I might go back if not for the music, but there are plenty of other brunch places in the city.
Food was nothing special but the views were amazing
Always a good experience!!
Great bar, food and service. Feels tho, like a commuter bar.
Food was good service great . However when we got the bill I was a little taken aback . I ordered a martini and my husband ordered a bourbon on the rocks . Each drink was $15 and the martini had a $3.00 chg listed and the bourbon a $2.00 chg listed as rocks . When questioned our server said the martini has a $3.00 chg bc it was a martini and the bourbon had a $2.00 chg bc it was on the rocks !!! Seriously $2.00 for ice cubes !!! Why not just charge $18 for a martini and $17 for a bourbon on the rocks ?????
Great place for lunch, fun dinner or drinks . Out door terrace if the weather permits.
Food cold made wrong roof open freezing. Overpriced
Food is great. Staff truly cares. Highly recommend to anyone.
Very loud. Wait staff not very attentive . Bus boys were pleasant .
Food overly salty.
Chicken sandwich very dry, with unusual Cole slaw like substance on it. I would not go back.
Our pretzel was hard, our salmon was raw (despite asking for well done) and of really poor quality, and the service was slow especially given we were one of only a handful of tables in here.
convenient because we stayed at hotel...food good...family friendly...lots of seating types.
We waited 1-1/2 hrs after placing our lunch order, and after being told they were sold out of our appetizers, we waited another 20 minutes before mediocre (and lukewarm) food was delivered to the table. The whole lunch was a disaster. Hope they get their act together because the setting is lovely.
Food service took over 2.5 hours to get our meal. There was no refund provided for service until I had to bring it up to the waitress. Thank goodness I wasn’t there with clients because it would not be good.
Nice (hidden) location near Madison Square Garden. Had Sunday dinner with family before taking the train back to NJ.
Always love Rock and Reilly's. I do wish they would offer some gluten free pasta for kids. That aside, I recommend Rock and Reilly's for any occasion.
Great pre-MSG spot!
It was a good midtown bar! No complaints at all
We took our teenagers and a friend out after the car show. We thought Rock & Reilly’s would be a fun atmosphere for them. They enjoyed the restaurant and loved the food. Will come back when the outside deck is open.
Our server was very attentive and patient since half our group was 40 minutes late.
Very good food and attentive service, just simply WAY too loud for dinner. It was a total bar scene level of noise at 5pm for dinner on a Thursday.
