Great experience. A graduation celebration lunch was perfect. Loved the warm atmosphere. The service was excellent, and I'm a tough critic, as a former waiter and bartender. A special shout-out to Ernest who made our guacamole table side. I had the shrimp taco, which they offer in a lettuce cup rather than a corn tortilla, which is a great option for the carb-conscious. Flavors right on. I'm from out of town but my daughter works in Brooklyn. She's a regular, and I can't wait to go again.
Great guac! Food is delicious and service is fast.
Great food. Waiter was great with explaining the menu. The guacamole was great especially it was made fresh right in front of us.
Albert was a great server. He was funny and was sensitive to our needs.
We arrived at 10 pm, and were seated promptly. Table wasn’t fully cleaned, the host was hand brushing crumbs off the seat. Our waiter, Andrew, complained about being tired and hungover. He took our order 3 different times and never entered it into the system. We eventually made a complaint with the manager and was offered food to go. So our Friday night was completely wasted and we ate a cold burrito at home.
Great guacamole & great location
Our first server was rude. David...
But Emma was excellence.
Thanks Emma and thanks Carlos.
Fantastic downtown Brooklyn location. Great food and even better margaritas. I highly recommend the Cadillac margaritas, the fresh guacamole made table side the chicken chimichonga or the wet burrito.
Excellent service and food was some of the best Mexican that my wife and I have eaten. Great stuff.
Service was very slow and confused - no one seemed to be sure who was responsible for our table! I could also do without the creepy misogynistic vibes of the decor (especially but not limited to the men’s bathrooms decorated with girlie magazines).
This was my second time to Rocco’s. Even our kids love their tacos! And the guacamole is the best!
Been looking for some good taco's in the Brooklyn area and I love Rocco
great spot. not too crowded. food was pretty good. we had a little bit of a wait for our waiter to take our order - but once he came, his service was good. would def go back!
Other than seating us right near the kitchen which was loud and very hot our meal was great
Another busy friday night, SLOW SERVICE FROM THE BAR. Thankfully the female manager was aware and apologetic which definitely helped.
The hostess was very mean when I told them I had a reservation. Reservation was for 8:45 I got seated at 9:10. This was not the service I expected.
Food wasn’t bad but very expensive for what you got. Service was great.
Great food good drinks worth the 2 hour drive on a nice Sunday afternoon
I'm mostly pleased with roccos tacos when i do go when I'm in brooklyn. This particular visit was with a close friend from my job. She lives in brooklyn and never been to this restaurant. She enjoyed everything. The appetizers, entree and drinks. I can honestly say that our waitress was excellent.
Have been here several times especially on a Tuesday. This was my first time at brunch and I will be coming back with more of my friends. Just love this place
We decided to have my daughters rehearsal dinner at Rocco’s! Great place and so much fun - just the right atmosphere. And the staff are top notch!
Went to the establishment during a sales conference and the ambiance was great. Server was nice and very knowledgable about the menu and attentive to our needs. We only had water to drink and she kept the refills coming (felt like we just returned from the desert). Highly recommended.
Chianti our Waitress was excellent, with her knowledge of the menu and was by far the best waitress I've had in a long time...Terry who made our guacamole table side was so kind and professional and he made the BEST guacamole and the food was delicious, fresh, tasty, and those shrimp quesadilla were out of this world. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I would recommend Rocco's to people. My note is that all of our food was cold. We chose to not send it back because our waiter, Bryce, was a very nice young man.
The front desk girl was so lovely, the place looks really nice, and the bottomless mimosas were not awful (although very pulpy). The food was pretty bad though. This is not Mexican food and sometimes that’s fine, Taco Bell and Happy Tortillas are lots of people’s guilty pleasure, but when dishes are more than fifteen dollars you expect something good and the food just was not. I will be back for 8$ margaritas on Tuesday (they’ve got those good fancy margaritas) but I won’t be eating here again. Also open table still has the brunch menu on here but they do not have that menu at Rocco’s any longer.
Not a great experience from start to finish. Woman at front was not very welcoming, not a big deal, but in the overall scheme of things was a sign of things to come. We were seated at the back next to a door that they kept opening on a very cold day. Ordered guacamole with vegetables and the veggies never came. Entree was mediocre. Drinks were also mediocre. Staff was lukewarm and service was not optimal. Conveniently located and cool decor, but not worth the price.
I had the Chimichaga. I was ok. I wish it was deep fried longer and lighter on the refried beans. My biggest issue was the service. Our waitress challenged us and persisted that we were wrong about our skinny Margarita's. Once we spoke to the bartender who serviced us at the bar before seating, we were very much correct with how the drink should be made. We weren't trying to be difficulty but there was a drastic difference in the taste. Our waitress wasn't very accommodating AT ALL! But it worked out. Our hostess was RUDE also so much so, when she walked by our table later in the evening she rolled her eyes SO hard at us...I won't even get into that.
Soo...overall, the food is not bad. Drinks are good and the ambiance is nice! This was my first time so I would try it again with a few adjustments to see if I have a better experience. Follow me on IG: @deliciousbiteslw for all my date night favorite!
Great food, service was good,a little but i would recommend.
Get a pitcher of margaritas so worth it
The waiter we had, Floyd, was excellent. He was patient, engaging, knew the menu/drinks and made my birthday brunch excellent!!
It's good. Not cheap mexican food, but good.
Everything was just perfect.. my boyfriend and I love the food and the workers. We will definitely come back when it’s warmer
Only problem was our server never put in our order. We waited and waited and even inquired. Lunch took us 1.75 hours at least. Not good when you only have an hour. Food is very good - everything ales was lovely.
Food was fantastic!!! Reallly enjoyed our time. The service was also fantastic.
I would return for the service and the ambiance. I also want to check out Taco Tuesday ($20 for all you can eat tacos)! Order the guacamole, made fresh table side.
I have been going to Rocco’s Tacos in Las Olas in Florida for as long as I can remember so being able to go to this wondeful restaurant in Brooklyn definitely made me feel at home. To eat I got the ensalada de taco, which was great but I wish there wasn’t as much dressing on it. As for our server she seemed a little overwhelmed and took quite some time to get back to our table. Other than that the mimosa deal for brunch was great, the margaritas were great, and it was a wonderful time.
Tacos were delicious and enjoyed the fresh made guacamole!!!
Spent more than I wanted to, but it was worth it!!!
This was my 1st time and I wasnt quite sure what to expect. But Rocco' s Tacos exceeded all expectations. Great service good food , ambience was very inviting and relaxing.
Will definitely be back.
Food was above average to good. Service was poor. The waiter had to be called each time... and took forever to do anything... basic run of the mill...restaurant/service... Go there if you are in the area...else skip for better choices...
