Robokyo Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar
Robokyo is located in the historic Toll House Inn originally constructed in1790 as a stagecoach stop on the Old Lincoln Highway. In 2007 the exterior of the building was restored and the interior was transformed into Robokyo.

All of our food was over cooked. The cook was friendly but his cooking skills definitely need some work.
Chef Nathan did a wonderful job. Food was prepared perfectly.
Mother’s Day. They were a little short staffed but did well and the food was on point
The temperature during our ENTIRE dinner was UNBEARABLE! I asked our waitress if they could please turn on the AC because we were all SO uncomfortable. She said it was already on & there was nothing she could do about it. I actually had to go outside a few times just to avoid passing out from the heat! The ONLY time our chef ever spoke to us was to ask how we wanted out meat cooked and to say thank you at the end. I took my entire family there, who were visiting from out of town, to have a fun-filled and interactive experience, but we would have had more fun going through a McDonald's drive thru, sitting in a tent in the middle of the desert, watching paint dry! The soup was VERY salty and my steak was tough. Save yourself a few hundred dollars and grill out in your back yard!
Our cook was amazing and so nice to our daughter who was a little scared of the fire.
Kids first Hibachi experience. It was ok, the Hibachi Chef was ok.... not very engaging. My husband and I both got steak and shrimp which was cooked well. The rice, kids got noodles- was subpar, cheaply made. Sushi was ok, nothing spectacular. Bathrooms were kinda dirty. For $135 plus tip, I would rather go a dozen other places.
I specifically said someone in our party had a birthday and they were going to sing to him and do the birthday thing and they never did. I was disappointed.
We drive the whole way from the city of Pittsburgh to dine at Robokoy
It was not our first time there but our chef, Chris, really stood out to us. He was very entertaining and did stuff we’ve never seen before. It was one of the best times we’ve had there!
The seating area for the grill was to close to other tables. The great thing for going to A restaurant like yours is the chef performance before cooking meals. The chef was good and friendly, but we was expecting a bigger performance. The food was good, but not great. The sauces provided in the cups had little taste to add to the meals. I like the portions size of the soup and salad. But the salad (ginger) dressing could be premix before serving. There was little dressing on my salad and could not mix well within the salad for a filling taste. The over all experience was just ok. To give it a star rating would be 2.5 out of 5.
Seafood tasted burnt and was expensive although the service was good
The chef want interactive at all. There was no excited as most of the Japanese steak houses I’ve been to
Ate there 2/28...very short of help. The size of my appetizer was very small and way over priced.
The rest of the food was good...I could only see one waitress.
Used to look forward to eating there but I may not be so quick to take my family there again.
No!! We love going to Edo Hibachi, but wanted to give this place a try, wish we didn't. I can't even compare the food to Edo, it was just horrible. If you are debating on going to Robokyo or Edo Hibachi, definitely go to Edo
Awesome and comfy little hibachi! The food was excellent and our chef handled himself extremely well. He was well mannered, focused and polite.
Overall, we had a nice time. The restaurant decor is lovely. The food was well done but the portions were disappointing. For the same price at other hibachi restaurants, you get much more. Our cook was very quiet and not engaging. The drinks were wonderful. I'm not sure if we will return, but we still enjoyed ourselves even if the whole experience was underwhelming.
Our chef was not very friendly. Didn’t speak unless we asked him questions. The room would be either really warm or freezing. Didn’t know if was supposed to be like that. All in all our group enjoyed the evening.
My husband and I enjoy this restaurant very much. The staff is very friendly. Sometimes the cooks are quiet and don’t interact with the guests much (somewhat disappointing). Overall it’s a fun place to go. A bit expensive but worth it.
We keep coming back and have yet to be disappointed. Great food, great staff!
The cook was very entertaining and engaged with us, but the food was very bland. Even the sauces were below expectations. The waitress seemed overwhelmed. I will not be coming back.
Since 2012 my husband and I have been coming to Robokyo to celebrate our anniversary. It is no doubt our favorite restaurant. This past Saturday we included our children to join us as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We have never been disappointed. The staff is always very friendly and courteous. We have been to other Japanese Steak Houses and nothing compares to Robokyo.
We had an awesome experience celebrating a special birthday! We were greeted warmly by the Hostesses! Our chef, Nathan was knowledgeable, entertaining and prepared our dishes expertly! Our server, Julie, was friendly and very efficient! Definitely a great time for all!
Enjoyed all. Although the scallops tasted good, they were too fishy smelling even with all the lemon juice and spice. The reason I mention is it shouldn’t have smelled that fishy and made me think it was not fresh. But was good though!
The biggest complaint was the food had ABSOLUTELY no taste whatsoever. We were extremely disappointed. For the price you are paying you’re expecting the best...and to be honest it’s the worst meal I’ve had out in a long time!
The waitress and cook were friendly, professional, and timely. I would also like to thank the restaurant for not getting upset with us or treating us different because part of our group was running a little late. I also like that the waitress offered to take our pictures without us even asking. We were celebrating a birthday. It is also super easy to make a reservation and I was able to add on a person the day before! I would definitely recommend Robokyo for a special occasion!
Our at table preparer Nathan was very personable and entertaining - not sure about humble as he assured us he was the best -following out dinner, no one in our party would disagree - will be requesting Nathan when we make our next reservation!!
Very loud music that doesn’t give an Asian/Japanese vibe. Disco lights on the ceiling lights up for occasional birthday. Food was not good, service was very pleasant.
Cook did not talk at all the whole time except to say hi and ask how to prepare steaks. Also was not very personable and would not acknowledge our two children (6 and 4 year old) when they were trying to talk to him. Definitely will not go back with our family of 6 again. Will find another hibachi to go to.
This was our first time at a hibachi bar and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience!
This is by far my favorite restaurant since it has moved in to the area. It is very close to us and the food, the price point, the service, the ambience...it cannot be beat. and the BIGGEST thing for my family and I is that each and every chef are very well trained on cross contamination. We went to another Hibachi chain very close that opened semi-recently, ONE TIME, when they opened and I was 6 months pregnant. I felt as though I were eating in a high school cafeteria and I had to leave while my family ate because I could not eat ANYTHING due to the cross contamination of EVERYTHING they seemed to cook. You guys have it down. All of it. Keep going ya’ll. You’re amazing.
One last point, our chef, Thomas, was terrific. Our boys (4 & 7) were so happy and entertained. That generally doesn’t happen because the chefs dont interact as well or much with the kids. Thomas was wonderful. He even remembered my husband and I from seeing us in the restaurant on previous occasions and he has actually never cooked for us before. That speaks volumes. A+++!!!!
Great customer service, spectacular food!
Only complain is how cold this place is during winter.
As always the food was wonderful. The was friendly and attentive.
The service and food was great
As with all restaurant options, the environment and the staff bring the experience in for the win. Coupling this hallmark truth, that is obvious rooted and exists at Rebokyo, with perfectly prepared food, it is hands down one of the best hibachi and sushi options not only in Greensburg but in the Pittsburgh metro. Do yourself a favor and take the advise of a review for once in your life, treat yourself.
My husband and I have been here a few times for date night and we absolutely love it! The staff is friendly and fun, it’s clean (which is a huge deal to me). I would 💯
Our waiter was OUTSTANDING. !!!!!! He was actually our waiter last year...Made my daughter 's Birthday very special
The food was really good, as usual. Our chef was friendly and the staff was accommodating.
We had an amazing time. My son’s enjoyed themselves. Our cgedtNathan was spectacular. Had enough to eat and it was excellent!!
I reserved this for my husband and sons birthdays. It was ok. Food was good. Hibachi chef was very quiet and not animated. He did several tricks but if you blinked you'd miss it. Fairly expensive for the experience we had. It's a really nice place as far as ambience. Maybe we hit at a bad time.
Very entertaining and great food. We had a very enjoyable evening.
