Angry. Made reservation to eat there with cousin who was guest at hotel. It was based on menu. I parked at hotel. Then restaurant had buffet only which cousin didn’t want so we went to outside restaurant. But hotel charged me $35 to park because I didn’t eat at restaurant. Will never go there again.

The service is completely untrained. Nice enough people, but no clue about the menu items, order/food timing, interrupting conversation, tracking which plate belongs to which guest, etc. And to top it off, the parking attendant fought with my guest because she didn't have a copy of the meal receipt (I paid) so she had to pay $25 to get her car. Not OK.

It was our anniversary and they very sweetly brought us each a glass of prosecco to celebrate. I only wish that the menu was a bit broader. Also, we asked for bread 3 times and it never came so we just gave up. Otherwise, it was a nice ambiance and the staff was extremely friendly!

Service and ambiance excellent. Website notes that brunch is served on Sunday. Of course the Buffet doesn’t exist anymore, but I was just appointed that breakfast service ends at 11:30 and then the lunch menu is in service. The lunch menu is not that inclusive in my opinion. But we were celebrating our daughters birthday, and the staff really went out of their way to make it special and we thank them .

I was somewhat disappointed at the overall experience, and a situation that was totally unnecessary, and wholly inappropriate. We had waited 11 years for an opportunity to return to this wonderful restaurant, so when we found ourselves back in Washington DC (a visit which coincided with my wife’s birthday) we decided to book a table for six people (myself, my wife, my parents and two friends we have made here in DC) When the booking was made for 8:00pm, (I noticed that later bookings were available) we decided that a meal at this time would allow us to explore DC by day, then take a relaxed journey to the restaurant for our meal. The majority of the staff were outstanding, and the chef welcomed us personally, which was great, but the meal felt rushed, and the wait staff / cleaners were obviously anxious to get home, and began clearing our table whilst members of our group were still eating. It was made clear that we were “in the way” and upon finishing our meals, the table was pretty much fully prepared for the next morning’s breakfast before we had time to walk the stairs away from the seating area, which was unacceptable. Given how long we had waited to visit the restaurant we held so dear, our meal (and meeting with friends and family was marred by the final hour of rushing about and being made to feel unwelcome! To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement. Given the 8 hour flight, and 4,000 mile trip to get here, it’s unlikely that we will be visiting again, which I find very sad!!

We had a reservation on Father's Day at 2pm, confirmed by open table and the restaurant the day before. On Father's Day around 1230 pm I received a call and text asking what time I was coming. I replied 2pm, and was told by text that the restaurant closed at 2pm. I repeatedly called and texted the restaurant, as well as the hotel as there was no answer. While driving there, others in my party also attempted to call the restaurant with no answer. I never got a reply to my original texts. We arrived with my 85 year old dad and were told the restaurant was closed. At that point we drove around trying to find a suitable outdoor place for lunch, which we didnt find until 3pm. Nevertheless, very disappointed in open table and the restaurant for running us around and spoiling our plans with my father and my husband, and kids. Will never book that again.

The setting for the 2023 Memorial Holiday BBQ at Robert’s was very scenic but elegant at the same time. Food was amazingly delicious. The brisket was tender and yummy. My favorite side was the grill roasted corn on the cob. Best of all was the staff, from the hostess, grill staff, wait staff and up to the charming manager, Daryl Lancaster. Beautiful property and magnificent staff. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.

Honestly it was just a strange experience. First I asked if they had a wine list. She acted like she didn't understand what that was. I explained it would be a list of wines so that we could have a bottle instead of a glass and they said they didn't do anything like that. But she said if I wanted to point to one of the wines that I would like she would bring it in a bottle instead of a glass for me?!! Huh? Took about 3 hours to get the food and we had to get up and find somebody twice to keep things moving. It was just so strange because it felt like a third world restaurant but we were at the Omni hotel in the middle of Washington DC?

I was waiting for you to ask.. Amazing! This is by far the best Mother's Day brunch in the city. I absolutely love coming to this hotel. From the time they open your car door at vault to the time they open the hotel doors when you leave the staff at the Omni Shoreham makes you feel loved and pampered. They all wish you Happy Mother's Day are all devoted to your comfort and pleasure. I love the years when only "old" or "real" Washington is here dining. So special of an ambiance it just feels like home. The inclusion of mimosa and the inclusion of non-alcoholic drinks for me, as a non drinker was both thoughtful and a wonderful touch. We were a intimate party of two but we felt so catered to by the manager that it more then made up for the waitresses shortcomings. My only complaint was that we had to call the restaurant on the way due to a 15min delay and no one would answer the call. We called the desk and restaurant for over 28min and only got the answer service or the run around- "I will forward you to the restaurant line" only to have our forwarded call ring once again and go to voicemail. Finally, I was able to end this ordeal once I got through to a desk worker to whom I expressed that the experience of phone chaos this elevating my anxiety to dangerous levels. He was able to personally deliver a message to staff that we were going to be a few minutes late. When we arrived I was able to clearly see why the phone was not being answered..... The desk to greet arrivals was unmanned for the Mothers Day buffet. After standing on the magnificent step landing of the hotel for about 4min. I women with bright red dyed hair came walking over with a nonchalant stroll and checked off our reservation. She then, without even waiting for us, rushed off way ahead of my husband and I to our table. I do not consider her escorting us to our table in anyway. We dined for 3 hours and had a perfect view to observe her spending hours gossiping and neglecting her duties.

Above and beyond! Our service was excellent, our server was patient with addressing our needs for the check division, and everyone was so friendly and kind. The restaurant is very posh with a view of gorgeous gardens. It was truly a treat to relax with colleagues in this beautiful restaurant. Our food was excellent to top off the experience.

Easter Brunch was very nice! My wedding reception was at the Omni in Cincinnati, so I knew it would be beautiful inside. As far as the food, you should have gravy or auju with the roast. Other than that I really enjoyed the experience!

It’s a hotel restaurant. It’s what you expect. They were overwhelmed on Easter, which seems foreseeable but who am I to say. Hostess kept explaining that people hadn’t left quickly and that’s why they couldn’t seat us even with a reservation. Which, fine, but she seemed to expect me to somehow fix it or come back later? Wait staff spoke minimal English and missed pieces of our order but it wasn’t worth fixing.

Lovely ambiance and excellent service by the waiter. Just wished the house bread was warmed up. It was cold and a bit hard. Also, the manager who checked in on us made it awkward. He was warm towards the other guests but had a cold and dry approach with us. Just weird and somewhat unpleasant which defeated the purpose of the encounter.

I loved the ambience but the service was mediocre. My fiancé and I went there for Valentine’s dinner. Unfortunately I asked for medium well steak and it was rare. The waiter offered to make me another steak which was ok. May give it another try.

This was a Valentine’s date. The staff was friendly but sometime inattentive. The pre-fixed menu was over priced. The lobster tail and lasagna were salty. In addition, the valet employee in the hotel was rude.

We ate there on New Year's Eve. They offered a prix fixe dinner, which was excellent, and the dining room is lovely. However, the service was extremely slow and the waiter, who appeared to be completely unfamiliar with the menu, got our entree orders wrong, resulting in a substantial delay. (No adjustment was made to the bill.) Also, I had called in advance to confirm that we could bring our own wine for a corkage fee, but this appeared to be a totally new concept to our servers, and after they did finally approve it and opened our wine they never brought us an ice bucket despite asking for one several times. A disappointing experience at a storied hotel.

We love the elegant, historic Shoreham and the room that Roberts restaurant is in is exquisite. Note. what I am commenting on was a Thanksgiving buffet, not your normal meal. The service was excellent and the food was plentiful, the variety of choices was nothing short of amazing and some of it was VERY good. However, much of it was mediocre including the dessert pies. As the price was $113.90 per person (including a 10% tip was less than our normal 20% because the meal was basically self-serve and alcohol was not included), it would have been nice to have tastier better quality food.

I hosted a dinner for friends and business colleagues on Friday evening at the Roberts Restaurant. The Manager, Antonio, and his staff performed beautifully, both welcoming and serving. The food, both appetizers and entrees, were well prepared and nicely presented. I would recommend the Roberts and its Staff for any regular or special event. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening.

The setting is incomparable. High ceilings, chandeliers, rich wall and floor coverings, a reasonably price albeit small menu, and attentive service makes for a pleasant breakfast destination. Food is prepared to order so no buffet here.

Food was very bland. Had not taste. Ordered crab soup and shrimp and grits and none of it had any taste. There was a ring of oil around that shrimp and grits indicating they had been sitting a long time. Service was very slow even though it was late and there was almost no one in the restaurant. Price was expensive but the food was not worth it at all. I don't recommend Roberts Restaurant.
