Outstanding experience..modern cool clean place, food was incredibly fresh, lobster rolls and clams amazing. A bit pricy but very worth it
Wonderful establishment for fresh seafood. Our oysters where outstandingly fresh, ice cold, and tasty. Lobsters...excellent! Our cocktails expertly prepared. We'll be back very soon!
The clam chowder and lobster was amazing. However, the lobster Mac & Cheese was disappointing ( 3 little strands- not the 3 oz stated). The service was great and very attentive. I would recommend this restaurant.
Kid friendly, a great choice for fresh seafood. Lobster & mussels were superb.
We enjoyed Robert's Grill very much. The food was excellent and our server was top notch!! I loved my lobster mac and cheese.... and my husband shared his onion rings from his haddock!
We will return again!
Oysters were excellent. Otherwise not very fresh lobsters.
Food was delicious - fish n’chips, lobster Mac n’ cheese and the best chicken sandwich you will ever have! Service was excellent. We will be back!
Great place to meet old friends!
It was pretty busy, but we were seated quickly. Sharon & I had the Clam chowder, which was very good. I liked how it was creamy & not like porridge, which seems what passes for chowder at most places. Richard had the Haddock chowder, which I liked more than the Clam chowder. It just had a more robust flavor. I'll get it the next time. For our mains, I had the baked stuffed Lobster. Plenty of Shrimp & Scallops in the stuffing. The breadcrumbs were rather tasteless, however. I'd recommend using crushed Ritz crackers. Sorry, to say but they DO have the flavor that suits a Baked stuffed Lobster. Next time I'll get the Lobster Savannah. Sharon had the Lobster sliders, which she enjoyed. Richard had the bake stuffed Haddock. Again, the bland breadcrumbs. I recommend the kitchen try the Ritz & taste for themselves. It WILL beat the bread crumbs hands down. For sides I had the daily veg. which was Summer & Zucchini squash. Very nicely done. Now I do recommend the Mashed potatoes with the gravy. That gravy made for the best Mashed I've had in a LONG time. Corny as it sounds it was the best thing on the plate(actually in a metal dish)I purposely did not finish them. I finished them the next day. Added a bit of milk to bring it back & it was great. I really recommend getting them as a side.
The lobster roll and clam chowder were amazing. If I’m ever back in the area, I will be back.
Always a great meal. Service is excellent. I would recommend. Also outdoor dining.
We have been going to Robert’s for over 20 years. The food is always consistently good. This time our food came to us not hot. I think it was more the servers fault than the cook I hope. We were upstairs and I think they forgot about our food. My husband never got the oysters he ordered and I had to ask about them and say don’t bother since he was almost done with his lunch. Our service this time was not good. We never got asked if we needed anything or how our order was. We never got drink refills. I spent half our meal looking around to see if I saw our server. If you’re seated upstairs it’s not good. They need to have someone upstairs at all times.
Delicious food, great service, fabulous view! Always try to stop here when we visit Maine!
Disappointing. Less than average food. Wine was served in plastic glass.
Food is always very good here. Nice selection of fresh local oysters. Ambience is spartan. Noise level is high, probably because of bad acoustics.
Just an over all nice dinner and excellent location
I love the RMG salad with added chicken or shrimp. Their house balsamic is wonderful.
We sat on the upstairs patio as requested. It was lovely.
Best seafood we had on our trip through New England! Great shellfish especially. Service could not have been better. It is busy every night so make reservations a couple or 3 days ahead if you can.
Oyster selection great! Scallop and lobster garlic penne dishes delicious!
My wife and I visited Robert’s to celebrate a special occasion for us they were nice about providing us a table with a view of the water. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. The food was unbelievable. Thanks to all for making our occasion a pleasant experience.
High quality food with down to earth friendly service.
Service was the best thing about our experience. Food was fair- nothing special.
Lobster roll was delicious after I added Mayo, lemon, salt and pepper
My husband’s jambalaya was so hot, it was inedible. We should have sent it back.
Food was excellent, good menu selections, portions generous. Oysters delicious!
A table full of apps, a girls night out. Nothing better
Everything was wonderful
We started with 4 jumbo shrimp and An order of Calamari. Both were perfect!
I had the RMG salad with Chicken
My husband had the baked haddock with stuffing and both were perfect. A wonderful meal all around.
Based on the latest reviews, I had big expectations. I got the clam chowder that was runny and just ok, side salad and cornbread as my sides with my steamed lobster. They would NOT let me substitute any side with brussel sprouts. What?! What makes brussel sprouts so elite that you can’t have them as a side. She said I literally could substitute with anything else. So odd. They also did not have a baked potatoe. How is that possible when you have lobsters and steaks on the menu? I could have mashed potatoes with gravy though. So odd. My lobster was over steamed because sections were mushy. All in all, my meal was so mediocre. My husband liked his lobster risotto.
Our waitress was lovely though.
Tables were spaced for COVID, which was appreciated. They also had outdoor seating, under a huge tent. We requested a window seat, inside, with a view of the bay.
We were not rushed. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. Food was good.
We were a party of four and one couple had an alzheimer's patient, we explained that to the waitress before they arrived. The waitress was so kind and empathetic as well as compassionate and patient with that person, it was wonderful and she deserves credit for her patience even when stressed by a busy dining area.
Best fish & chips I’ve had in a long time! Delicious oysters too! Don’t miss the blueberry pie. Great service. Best to make a reservation - very popular place.
I love Roberts and always have I’ve been coming for years my grandfather and I really appreciate all the wonderful staff that work there but brandy is by far our favorite!!! She so accommodating no matter how busy she is, the oysters, salmon and lobster sliders are my absolute favorite and who ever is behind the bar Wednesdays and Thursdays you make the most perfect martinis!!!!! Keep up the amazing work Roberts you do the best job thanks for all the good times!!
We had a very pleasant experience there. I had asked for accommodation for an octogenarian and they gave us a nice first floor table with padded seats.
The noise level was very reasonable -- somewhere between quiet and moderate.
Food and drinks were very good. My basil lime martini was excellent as was the moonshine-based Mule that my wife had.
The wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
All in all, very pleased with the experience.
Great seafood. Fresh!
Great service. We plan to come back.
The food is fantastic. My daughter and I shared the bacon, cheese brussel sprouts appetizer and it was so yummy! I had fish and chips and it was a delight! The batter was light and crispy and the fish so tender. Very flavorful meal. My daughter had the baked salmon with pesto and loved it. Even my picky-eater grandson wished he had ordered the salmon after being allowed a bite, although he enjoyed his chicken tenders and fries. Right now most restaurants are struggling to hire servers and kitchen staff. Robert's may need more help, but we were taken care of in a fairly prompt and polite and capable way. I live near Portland. My daughter and grandson live in MA...Eating at Robert's is a good half-way point for each of us. We'll be back!
Wonderful place…. We eat here every time we come to Maine and they never disappoint us !!
Food was very good.....upstairs is very loud....Service was good but could be better for the cost of meal....
The food was outstanding. The server eeh!
Had a 1:15pm reservation. The place was crazy when we arrived. The parking lot was full. The interior was packed. We ended up in the tent in the parking lot with no view. Food and service was good. Ambiance was lacking.
Not a great experience at one of our favorite places. took over an hour for sandwiches.
