An iconic Arthur Avenue restaurant that consistently pleases with excellent authentic Italian food and service. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
Excellent food, best Italian restaurant in NYC. I have been going for year nothing better!!
The service has fallen but the food remains good albeit small portions
Top Notch Service - Superb Food & Drinks!
Went there for a birthday party. Food and service was good -- it is pricey so warrants a special occasion (at least for me to spend that much).
One of the best meals we've had in a long time. Comprehensive menu and the specials menu is as long as the regular menu. Amazing home Italian cooking with just a touch of upscale at reasonable prices.
Birthday- group of 11. 9:30 start. On time seating. Well served. Gracious with time. Goos wine choices. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Excellent food and service!
It’s always a pleasure to dine at Roberto’s. The staff is amazingly attentive, the menu choices are top-notch and the atmosphere is conducive to conversation. And nothing is ever a problem. Anything you want to eat, they will accommodate.
Great place for great Italian food.
Robert's Resturaunt is a gem in the Bronx. Living in the neighborhood, this is one of the best !
The service is top notch and the waiters are skilled with amicable service.
Quality food for the price.
We have eaten here several times before... always terrific. However, on Valentines Day it was just ok. All our dishes had the same sauce. Branzino, Chicken and a Veal dish. The truffle foil pasta was great. When you have branzino its always better simply prepared rather having a brown sauce with thin sliced potaoes tomatoes this takes away from the taste of this wonderful fish. I did have the best Pinor Noir Earth Prince Hill though!
Food was amazing.. service was fantastic.. The desserts are to die for.
Valentine’s Day ! We made early reservation to beat the crowds. Had an awesome meal. The Grilled Octopus was perfect !
A wonderful meal as always
Our food was delicious and freshly prepared. The wine we ordered was awesome too. Great service in a relaxed environment!
This was my first time at Roberto's, and it was well worth the visit. I reserved a table for four online, which worked out very well. The staff is wonderful, the drinks are superb, and the ambiance was beautiful--great atmosphere, casual though orderly, perfect for conversation. The cannoli desert was magnificent. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for a great evening.
The two most difficult things about Roberto's are getting a reservation and finding parking nearby. Terrific food, excellent service and a very nice but somewhat noisy atmosphere. The acoustics are hard surfaces, so it gets loud.
My only complaint is that they asked us to leave our table to turn it over for the next party. I can appreciate that they need to accommodate their later reservations, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. Otherwise, delicious and fun.
We always enjoy the food but the relentless, thundering birthday songs (for 3 year olds... REALLY??? and two other diners) really turned us off. Also we found this time that even though we had a reservation, the greeters were unpleasant and difficult. Although we've eaten at Roberto's for many years and have always loved it, we are now looking for other places in the area that focus on the food and not the kitsch.
A wonderful birthday celebration with amazing food - the homemade pasta!
Loved it. It was recommended to us and it was beyond our expectations
I have been there several times before, this time was a disappointment. The meet (Bistecca) was fatty and disguised by a sauce. The ambiance and service were very good, but the food quality was not.
I've been eating at Robert's for over 20 years and for the first time ever I was extremely disappointed. 2 of us ordered the pasta with wild boar. It came out almost cold. We sent it back and came back almost 10 minutes later after they nuked it. They reviews on the other dishes were just okay. The service was off and at times I felt they didn't know what they were doing.
I will give them another chance but I was so looking forward to Roberto's I have to let them know that this dinner was not acceptable.
Stick with the specials and you won't be disappointed! The grilled octopus on the main menu is also a must!
Wonderful meal as always. First time we sat downstairs. Way too noisy! Need to install acoustic tiles or carpeting to absorb the noise!
Great place to have dinner or celebrate any special occasion will return and recommend to all friends and family.
Excellent food, wonderful service and warm atmosphere. I'd go back again and again.
everything was find but I was disappointed that they sat us in the basement
We have been going to Roberto's restaurants for 30 + years and his food is better than ever. Last weekend my wife and I had another incredible meal. We started by splitting an appetizer of (please excuse my spelling) burrata w/eggplant carbonara, green olives and spicy oil...wonderful. Our pasta dish was marfalda in cartoccio with black truffle sauce. king oyster mushrooms in a light tomato sauce...among the best pasta dishes I ever tasted. Main course was an outstanding veal scallopine with thinly sliced potatoes and fresh porcini mushrooms. Service is always first class. If we didn't live on L.I., We would probably dine here weekly.
One of my favorites in all the city. They serve most things family style so it’s great to try a bunch of different things. The tin foil pasta is a must. Pro tip: order more tin foil pasta then you expect to eat. Everyone is going to want seconds.
Food was amazing as always. Never disappoints. The fresh pastas are always great choices.
Woman who seatdd us was extremely rude telling us we had ti be fast because there was another party coming in shortly. She told us we could not keep out coats with us. She did not smile and made us feel very unconfortable. She stands at the front door and reoresents the restaurant i would expect her to treat her customers with respect and kindness ir at least a smile. Telling us after we made the reservation that we “had to be finished in the next 30min” was the worst thing you could do to a paying customer. We were extrmely disappointed after we bragged about the restaurant to our family that came from Cape Cod for the evening . We have been customers for years but will not return or reccomend this establishment. No one smiled or was pleasant
Fabulous, authentic Italian food - go! Big portions of delicious, Italian cuisine.
Great food- best restaurant in the Arthur Ave area.
One of our very favorites and we are not easy to please. My wife is the best chef I know and has been published in Gourmet Magazine three times.
Unfortunately we had lunch on an extremely cold day. The restaraunt was freezing. We were told there was a heating problem. We repeatly complained about the cold...we were not ever comp a glass of wine. We don't understand why heaters were not made available for the diners. In retrospect we should have left.
We dine out every day, in NYC's top places.
To being the hostess was rude; despite reservations, was taken quite late to which she responded " everyone waits." Waiter service good.
Pasta was good; Dover sole way below average. Veal was average
Wanted to give Arthur Ave. a try; if you want good Italian food , highly recommend you skip this and go to Il Mulino on W3 or Elios
Outstanding foor and service! Congratulations to Roberto!
