We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. She loved the food! Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious. Service was exceptional! Our server, Jeff, did a great job! We will definitely dine at Robard’s again.
Robards has always been one of our favorites.
They had changed the menu since the last time we had dined there. We are not a fan of the new menu.

I was so excited to hear that they were FLOORED by how great the steak and agnolotti were, and couldn’t stop talking about the scallops, French onion soup, and Kung pao Brussels sprouts. Thank you so much for giving them a memorable evening- it meant so much to them!
Yes, but not on a special menu night like Valentines Day. My wife and I eat there often and love the regular menu. The Valentines Day menu was not at all worth the price.
We were not told when making reservations or in the two confirmation phone calls there would be a set menu, which did not please us for the money we spent. Wait staff and wine was good but food was disappointing.
We went on Valentine's night. The restaurant was not crowded...in fact there were empty tables. When making the reservation, we were not notified that we would have to eat from the Fixed Price Menu.
The price was $105/person. The Fixed Price Menu provided two items for each course, the only choice was who would eat which item from each course....two kinds of oysters, salad and miniscule lobster bits, Lamb Chop and Steak, and scallops.....scallops .......what a waste of a plate. The food was average to above average, but the price was expensive for what we received.
Based on recommendations....we were disappointed.
Dined Valentine's Day. Unfortunately it was a set menu, which, in itself is not a bad thing, but both menu options had a least two shellfish servings - a little difficult with a shellfish allergy. Robard's was able to accommodate it, but we come here on Valentine's because in the past (every time) we have been able to order off the regular menu. We were not informed of the set menu both times we were contacted by Robard's to verify our reservation. Had we known we would have opted for elsewhere. I consider Robard's a five star restaurant on Open Table, and do recommend it, however in my opinion they fell down hard this time. So I guess in the future it is buyer beware. Their normal menu is most enjoyable. The food that was served was good, just quite frankly, not what we were planning on. The wine pairings were mediocre and they did not alter them for the menu changes. I will return under other circumstances.

Great date night dining experience. Staff was both friendly and informative, while providing excellent service. The view and ambience was very pleasing. The options were varied and it doesn't seem as if you can go wrong. Try it all!
What a fabulous night! Jeff waited on us and was wonderful. The butter with chive oil....Yummy! Our steaks were delicious. We will be going back soon! And don’t forget to order the butterscotch dessert!!🥰

Food and service were great. The seating could have been a little better. Seems it's designed for larger groups. 2 top tables have you sit side by side couch style....not so great. Music was way too loud and totally did not fit the lower lights, fireplace setting.
The evening was, well. unremarkable. For the price, I think maybe that's not a great reaction. The new chef has a different approach - one I would call, over thinking. Caesar salad was dry, french onion soup a great presentation, but with vidalia onions and sherry that just made it too sweet.
Wine list has gone too far into the extreme - with rates 3x retail and very very few moderate priced bottles.
We have been many times, this just may be our last for a while.

The view next to the water was amazing and the waiter, Colt couldn’t have been more informative and friendly. He was great throughout the entire evening. Although we wanted to order the more popular items such as the short rib, he was able to recommend the wagyu flat iron steak in place and it was so buttery. We ordered the king crab legs along with the octopus which both were great options. Don’t overlook the herb whipped butter that comes with the bread as well- it’s a winner and you’ll want the butter on everything. The mushroom side dish was a great accompaniment for the steaks we ordered. I’m a fan of chimmichurri and I often make it at home. So I figured I could try out theirs’- shockingly it was quite bland as If it was missing a bit flavor. That was the only item that wasn’t up to par but all the steaks, drinks, apps, and bread were immaculate. I would definitely recommend this spot for an impressive dinner.

Our group of four went on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. What a great decision!!! Everything was delicious. We were treated with a champagne toast as well as samples of dry aged beef (yum). We were all glad that we tried the butternut squash agnolotti. It was remarkable. The table side presentation of the french onion soup was impressive. The kung pao sprouts and cacio e pepe potatoes as sides went well with our steak and sea bass entrees. We finished the meal with complimentary desserts. Our waiter went above and beyond! No complaints just praise!!

This place was fantastic. The service was great and the bone-in filets were cooked to perfection.
All 3 ribeyes were bad cuts of meat. Table of 4 people and we got slapped with automatic gratuity with no warning. One of the first groups to arrive to 8 pm seating on New Year’s Eve and got placed in private room that was loud with 6 other tables. Would have been nice to sit in main dining room. Asked for additional bread 3 times and never received. Didn’t get to pick steak knives (something they are known for). Food runners auctioned off each course not knowing who was supposed to get what at our table. Final bill $475 for two martinis, two bourbons, two dinners and automatic gratuity. Worst $500 I have ever spent. Will never return.
We were celebrating New Years Eve with friends from out of town. My expectation was that the restaurant would be more festive and appropriately decorated to reflect the occasion at $125 per person. They offered a prix fix menu which we knew about prior but unfortunately not everyone enjoyed the selections. The timing between each course could have been improved. We ordered coffee to end the night and it was lukewarm.... reminded me of a limp handshake. The final bill was approximately $200 per person; believe me, we love good food and not shy about paying for a great experience but sadly, this visit did not meet the mark.

My wife and I love to celebrate special occasions at Robard’s. The service and food always exceeds our expectations. I love that the menu changes every 3 months. Jeff took excellent care of us on our anniversary.
Waiter asked us for our order before we had even ordered a drink. Salads and drinks were good. Steak was medium warm and bland. Fish (sea bass) had many bones. Clearly not Chilean sea bass. Some Mediterranean fish renamed sea bass. Then we get a bill showing 3 main courses for 2 people. Waiter had not checked the bill and overall was a poor server. Restaurant is over priced and fails to deliver. We won’t be back and will actively tell friends about our experience.
My ribeye was 2/3 ribeye and 1/3 fat and gristle. My husband had a filet that was dry and tasteless. I asked for bernaise and it came spicy. Bernaise is NOT spicy. Very very overpriced for what we got!
There was a family with a 2-year old. The child was screaming and causing multiple disruptions. The restaurant management should have taken care of this. Instead, we asked to e moved...
The perfect place for any special night! Its beautiful, the service is flawless, the cocktails are potent, the food is delicious, and the parking couldnt be easier. Highly recommend! 5 stars!
Our guests’ steak was undercooked and it was wagyu by the ounce .. rather than cook a new one they took both halves off their plates and heated them ... not the least bit acceptable for a $1,500 meal for four.
We had a very good experience at this restaurant a couple of years ago. It seems that since then the menu and the food itself has taken a downturn. This is a very expensive restaurant that had some of the best food in the Houston area. At this point I don't feel the quality of the food is anywhere near what it was then or what it should be now for the price. We've gone from recommending this restaurant to friends, to hoping none of them took that recommendation recently. Truly unfortunate.
Quality was outstanding. Linz meat terrific. Great service and attention to detail. Not the restaurants fault but there was a group o 6 adults with 3 children ages ~ 3, 2 and 1 1/2 that were not only distracting but VERY annoying. Get a baby sitter rather than trying to ruin other dining experience.
A bit more lighting would be helpful.

Service is always outstanding, food good, unique buffet style with individual main course and family sides is a great format. The only challenge is not getting full on the buffet before the main course.
Thanksgiving dinner. Every bite was delicious. Beautifully prepared and presented. Service was fabulous. Absolutely wonderful experience as always !
