Table for two or way too close had a headache at the end of the night from listening to the gentleman sitting next to us brag about how much money he made.

This restaurant used to be better. Appetizers are still good, but the mains? They were lacking...

Ordered off of the Detroit Restaurant Week menu. Food was PHENOMENAL. Portions were fantastic. Ambiance was swell. Waiter did not hold back on his suggestions, and we thank him for it.

Once again a phenomenal meal prepared perfectly to tantalize the taste buds. Had the Apple, blue cheese salad, hanger steak and Mango, coconut and lime sorbet. Each dish was amazingly layered with flavors. Take time to taste and savor. You won't be disappointed

Staff was great, good service, very attentive.
I personally didn't enjoy the vanilla vinaigrette salad, nor did I like the polenta. The roast and steak we had was excellent.

My wife and I have been going to Roast for our Valentine's Day Date Night for years (I think this was year number 5?). While the menu selections were not the greatest this time, we recognize that its a rotating menu and that sometimes things are not going to interest us. No knock on Roast at all for this. But the service was horrible. It would take 15 minutes to get a drink. When the waitress came over to ask if I wanted another drink, she didnt bother to ask my wife. So then my wife is without a drink for 30 minutes (it took 15 minutes to get my drink, and then another 15 minutes to get my wife's drink).
My wife and I still had a great time; but it was just terrible service by our waitress. And its not like the place was abnormally busy or our waitress has an unreasonable amount of tables (from our perception).
We will 100% be going back; just hopefully with a different waitress.

The restaurant was participating in Detroit Restaurant week, so in order to get a wider breath of the menu, we ordered from those choices. The white bean soup was delicious. I had scallops with a citrus sauce that were carmelized to perfection and tasty. My wife had the hanger steak and it enjoyed it. We ordered crispy potatoes and brussel sprouts as sides. The brussel sprouts were some of the best I have ever had at a steak joint. Not too greasy and covered in bacon grease as most are.
Desserts came with a Happy Anniversary cookie, and it was a nice touch.

We arrived about 10minutes before our reservation, so we only had to wait a few minutes. The hostess was very polite and welcomed us. After we were seated our server met us with the wine list and menus, she answered our questions and made some recommendations, we ordered and our food arrived shortly after. The maple glazed pork belly was amazing to say the least! We could have had a plateful of that alone and been happy. Entrees were delicious, scallops were cooked perfectly and the filet was tender juicy and cooked just right. Desserts were the chocolate bar for her and the lemon bomb cake I believe it was called for me. Highly recommend both and recommend Roast!

The food and service were wonderful. Unfortunately, Our table was close to the bar and to the servers station, It was hard to hear our server and a little challenging to carry on a conversation.

Roast has been amazing every time we have gone. The bar menu at happy hour allows you to try so many different things! And OMG, the chicken livers and polenta! I would cry when my mother made me eat liver as a child. At Roast, I cry when the plate is empty!

Good service. Bad food. Chef needs to learn their temperatures on steaks.

First time at Roast... Fantastic meal and service.

Expensive bill but was aware of prices when we decided to eat there. I've had expensive meals before in California it this meal was by far the most plentiful.

All around wonderful experience.
