Unbelievable steak, and the bone marrow was incredible
Everything was great!
Very good starters. Good drinks. Good service. Our waiter was very attentive. The roasted marrow was great!
The food and seasoning was excellent. I will be back.
Wonderful dinner with friends. There was a guy at the bar talking really loudly. Ugh. I wish Roast had more sides and bring back the zip sauce. Server disappeared at times. Had almost finished dinner when I had to ask another person to send server over. He never came back to ask if we needed anything. That’s odd.
Food was amazing. Waiter was attentive. Great experience!
Great food and service
While in Detroit for a wedding we were lucky to find Roast on the Open Table app. In my dining experience Keith was one of the best waiters I have ever had. He was knowledgeable about all the menu items and had a wealth of knowledge about food in general. Our meals were served family style as we requested and everything we ordered, including dessert were delicious! The rib eye was cooked to perfection.
Drinks are made with fresh ingredients and our vodka gimlets were the perfect blend. The manager Joseph came by a few times and he was a delight. Not sure how express how good our meal was except to say we came back the next night, asked for Keith and had a repeat perfect experience. Thank you so much for two nights of deliciousness and wonderful service.
Much better experience than Lola's in Cleveland. Still expect more from an place owned by an Iron Chef. I understand its Covid, but still the overall experience was just ok.
Wonderful experience. Knowing Michael Symon's restaurants I expected nothing less. This is a cannot miss in Detroit. You won't be disappointed.
My wife and I love the Roast. The service was superb. The food was also very good. On the downside the menu is somewhat limited and the prices are at the high end, especially for the imported reds from Italy. On a positive, the portion size was acceptable. We left feeling very good about our overall experience once again.
Great food and excellent staff. More like a place for a date :)
Great service and even better food. Made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu
Top notch dining! Food was excellent and service was superb! Would fine again for another special occasion.
Ken was our server and was awesome!
Service was great the brussel sprouts were awesome asked for 5 gallon pail to go. Steaks were done perfect.
It’s expensive, but it is a great experience. Very attentive, professional, and friendly staff. The food was very, very good. A great special occasion restaurant.
We felt the food was good, but very overpriced, limited menu and didn't have anything seasonal on the menu.
Super private table by the wine cellar
Great for an anniversary or special date night
It was very nice. Except I’ve had better days where the steaks were perfection. This time they were under cooked even tho We ordered a medium well steak. Other than that our waiter was amazing and everything was great. Menu is much smaller than usual due to Covid but they said they will be building it up. :)
Servers were god like food was not my style but fiancé was amazed great job!
I was introduced to the Roaat by a friend a few months ago. Loved the food and atmosphere. Would recommend this restaurant
Our experience was amazing! We went for my girlfriends birthday and everyone was so nice and our waiter gave amazing recommendations! I'll defiantly be back.
Food and service were excellent. Really top quality and premium experience. Not the vibe of newer restaurants around the city, but this is a high end option.
Nice celebration with wine, dinner and dessert for our anniversary.
Loved every minute and every bite. Our server Ken was attentive and super knowledgeable. Made our night a great one.
Looked for someplace nice to celebrate my birthday with my wife and finding a reservation turned out to be very difficult. Settled on Roast and heard great things about it, so we where very excited to try it. Arrived right on time and used the valet parking which was super convenient. Ordered quickly so we could eat and make it to the Tiger game that evening. The oysters first course was great, the apple orchard salad was also very good, the signature cocktails, again very tasty and interesting. Main course I ordered the fillet with sea salt and olive oil, I enjoyed it but slightly over medium rare, more medium and only a couple grains of salt on the plate. My wife ordered the salmon and when it came it was SMOTHERED in a raw julienne of red cabbage that was unnecessary, very little herb, or seasoning, and just bland. It was under done for her, she wanted medium and it was closer to rare. She ate 1/2 and gave the rest to me, I love a rare salmon so it thought the cook was great, but I totally agree there was no seasoning at all. We had to ask for some sea salt to enhance the flavor. It was really good then and I liked it. My wife however gave it a “2” which I thought was a little harsh but when you get the bill you have to realize the cost should reflect in the expertise of the chef…. A little disappointed….
We had a great experience. Greg, our waiter was fabulous. He made the evening even that much better. The food was great too however they were a little low on wine selections.
The food was delicious and the ambience was lovely. Our server was attentive. Our drinks were not very strong but tasted good. Overall, our experience was very nice and we definitely would come again.
Very intimate and enjoyable ambiance, excellent service
we went for our anniversary. The service and food was great.
Service with Kevin was pretty good - at times he seemed a bit pretentious - food was great, but not sure worth the cost
Love this restaurant. The crispy pig’s tail was about the best thing i’ve eaten all year - no it was the best. Inspired.
I went here to celebrate my birthday, and from start to finish the experience was phenomenal. The food was unmatched, and my server Ken was amazing! Thank you so much for the great night out.
Lack of any basic dinner rolls
Overly salty seasoning
Overpriced for mediocre meal
Simple, elegant, excellent service. The salmon was melt in your mouth good. The white wine we chose paired well.
Refinement? Not here. Valet parking question on Opentable 10 days in advance. Not answered. Hostess, clueless. Food, salty and lukewarm. Only bright spot, server Ken!
Out us at a table that was so dark we couldn’t see anything. Also the food or the drinks were not was we were expecting. Very overpriced. My wife literally stated that I make a better steak at home on my grill
Probably the best steak I've had in my life! Awesome service..
Considering the COVID-19 environment we live in, our experience was good. The menu appeared to be much smaller than I remember. They were out of a lot of liquor as well. The carpaccio was excellent, as was the French onion soup. Our steaks were just okay. The dessert menu was miniscule at best. Overall our experience was good but not as good as it has been in the past.
Very nice place. The steaks were good but I’ve had better. The cocktails were good but I felt they were overpriced.
Service was amazing, apperterizers were very good.. sides were very salty, too much to enjoy, they remade one of the sides for us. Pork Chop and filets were great, aged ribeye was extremely fatty, at that price it shouldn't have been. The restaurant was very accommodating and wanted to make it right.
