Went for dinner. Wife's birthday. Chose to enjoy happy hour and its menu rather than wait for normal evening dining to open. Salad was especially noteworthy. Sliders and tacos were tasty. Steak was tender and tasty. Our only experience with this restaurant was this happy hour. (we are not from the Phoenix area.) As such, we can only comment on their happy hour, which we would enjoy again and recommend to others

We chose this restaurant based on other reviews and we were not disappointed. Nice ambiance, outstanding food with reasonable portions, and excellent service. Our server, Chase was friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back the next time we visit Scottsdale and would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

Our food was amazing. The food was pretty slow getting out but we were sitting outside enjoying the beautiful evening and the waitress stayed on top of our drinks. The pork chop is HUGE. The trout was so tasty. The blackened redfish was a little dry but the sauce was good!

Happy hour is outstanding. Food was outstanding. Only issue with service was that half of the 6 items we ordered had to go back for minor corrections.

We're unfortunately seated next to the chefs. Super noisy. Constant banging of pots and cooks yelling. Food was average. My wife's filet was cooked inconsistentl. Probably last time going here.

A burger at a place like this should not have burnt bread...period ( not toasted ,not charred,I’m talking black cancerous burnt bread)
Especially when a child is ordering it and we did not realize how bad it was till we were checking out ...
And then they take off the price of a measly side dish from the tab. Really???? I paid $150 for a meal and you are going to placate me by giving me $10 off while leaving with a bad feeling that my child did not eat more than a tiny bite of the burger????

We made reservations for 2. Our table was not ready when we arrived so we sat in the bar, had just ordered drinks when they came and said table ready. Seems to have been a bit of miscommunication, our table was not ready. We arrived to a table for 4 and a dirty cocktail sitting there. The rest of the evening service was quick.

This place gets very busy so reservations are a good idea. The service was competent but not noteworthy. The appetizer menu is creative. We had the grits which were very good but a bit rich and heavy for an appetizer. My date had them as a main course. I had the pork chop. It was good but a little dry. Altogether a good dinner but not knock your socks off great.

We were in Scottsdale from Montana for a wedding with our 3 kids and daughter-in-law and this place was recommended to us. It was a wonderful experience all around. The service is fabulous as was the food. I would highly recommend this place.

The noise level was a bit too energetic as we were seated right next to the bar and had difficulty carrying on a conversation. The food was unique, cooked perfectly and flavorful. Ambiance was darker than expected.

Well, I would have hoped to give it 5 stars across the board, but my expectations based on price point, atmosphere and other recommendations failed to meet reality. Service was great, right up to the point we got our food. Our waiter was so quick stopping by that you didn’t have more than 2 seconds to respond. If you’re going to be a truly great steak place like Ruth’s Cris or Mannys, you can’t serve a great steak on an ice cold plate! You just ruined it! You are forced to shovel your food down before it’s cold, which completely defeats enjoying a beautifully prepared filet. Sad. Not a single server/waiter asked how our food or meal was after it was delivered and the wellness of the steak was determined.

I chose this restaurant for a nice moderate meal while in town. It was very nice, just a little more expensive that I thought it would be. We really enjoyed everything about the experience.

This place has excellent food, great customer service and the portions were good for the price. They have a very big wine selection and I feel had something on the menu for everyone. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and I was thoroughly pleased with our decision to celebrate here.

The food was good, but the service was lousy(unknowledgeable). When I ordered a Sidecar, she brought a Cyclone even though she had verified the drink before leaving the table to place the order. She then brought the drink in a highball glass with ice instead of a martini style glass straight up and it had a lime wedge instead of an orange peel garnish. It seemed like both the waitress and the bartender were either inexperienced or playing games. When we asked for an additional kind of bread, she brought the same assortment as before telling us that it was already prepared. In other words, take it or leave it. These people would never get hired at places like Hillstone, The Henry, or Paul Martin's. It's too bad because the ambiance is nice.

Our party of six had a nice meal, starting with guacamole and chips. The meals arrived in a timely fashion, all plated very creatively. Everyone enjoyed their meals and varied flavors. The only complaint was that the Carnitas piece of meat was very crusted, almost impossible to eat the outside of the cut. Actually it was so chewy it was almost a choking hazard. Good flavor, though!

Wow! Amazing food and service! We were visiting the area and heard about this place and are glad we stopped by - this is a must! The tortilla soup and carnitas were amazing! My wife had the ahi tuna and crab fried rice and was best ever! Thank you and next time we are in the area we will be back!

Food was incredibly disappointing. We got the duck and the chicken as entrees, and the duck was virtually inedible. Pretty sure they didn’t score the fat, which is a novice’s error. Chicken was fine, but nothing special.

Service and ambiance were nice, but the food was just so bad that I can’t recommend this place.

This is second time I have dined at Roaring Fork while visiting in Scottsdale AZ. Both times the food has been very good. I would highly recommend this resturant for it's ambience, food and service. Try the green chile mac & cheese. It is excellent! Enjoy!!

Exceptionally polished server. Only knock I can give is their selection of beers, I prefer traditional European originals over American craft brew knockoffs.

There were three of us and all our food was spectacular. The tortilla soup was great, as well was the petite filet. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and very tender. I could cut it with my fork. The salmon was delicious also. Cooked great and a hint of sweetness to the marinade. Cocktails were nice and the wait staff super friendly. I didn't try the 3rd entree, but was told it was really goo. Would for sure recommend this restaurant. Good value for the money.
