We had an amazing time at the roaring Fork. We sat with Stephane at the bar and he was a delight to talk to and gave great recommendations. Definitely a must go!
Our service was excellent. I went with my husband and 2 kids, 14 and 11. My 11 year old had salmon and devoured it. The rest of us had steak cooked medium rare which was perfect
I haven't been here since last January as I had left an OK review, back again for another try especially as dining has changed so drastically with the new Covid rules. I made a 7:00 p.m. Open Table Friday reservation for 2. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated right away. I noticed all the booth seating had glass partitions. Menu holders I "hope" were being well disinfected. Though I observed new table cloths were being laid out, there was no spray cleaning of tables or chairs. Employees all masked (only 1 server wearing mask below her nose), hand sanitizer stations all over. Dan our waiter introduced himself, made the evening very pleasant.
My friend and I ordered cocktail, excellent Cosmos if you like them. My friend started with the Ceasar Salad, then we had the Rainbow Trout and Sugar Cured Duck Breast. All the food was very good, cooked to request, hot, fresh, presented nicely and tasted excellent.
If you haven't dined here in a while, note that the menu has changed, my 2 favorite items and not offer, Tortilla soup and the mussels. nor was the Delmonico Steak. I will also note, during this new age of mask wearing our table location in a corner that had all the main traffic of employees and customers hustling by was not another seating location repeat for me. And as I have mentioned in other restaurants, not their fault but again customers not wearing mask or wearing them wrong.
Atmosphere: Covid mask wearing by employees and hand sanitizer. Service: very good. Food: very good
Usually this is one of my favorite places to eat. However, my visit was subpar when it came to service. It took forever to get our drink order taken, they have stopped with the bread service, and our waiter seemed more concerned with the other tables than ours. Our food came out and we had no utensils. Someone brought utensils and no steak knives(we both had steak). Perhaps they were understaffed, I’m not sure, but for those prices I would definitely expect better service.
We loved our dinner at roaring fork. The huckleberry margaritas were delicious as usual. Green chili pork never let you down. Service was very nice and restaurant was busy but under control.
The Fork is a long time spot for us. Always liked it and will continue to go there
Fantastic food and such attentive service. We can’t thank everyone enough for such a wonderful evening. This place is top notch!
Roo and Charlie went above and beyond to to make our celebration dinner perfect. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent value.
Matthew was great accommodating our outdoor dining preference. Thank you Matthew for being so attentive to our table!
The food is always perfect. Thank you all in the kitchen!
Good food, good service, and friendly atmosphere. I would return and recommend to others.
Very good food and ambiance. Went with the restaurant week option and both my wife and me were very satisfied with our choices. Overall good deal for the price.
Awesome experience all around. Great value with the $44 AZ Restaurant Week special! Great service from Mary our server!
we ordered off restaurant week-------------very disappointed with the alaskan halibut---------was dry, no flavor and for the charge $44 portion size was less then a deck of cards
i had the steak and it was good-----------the veg. they advertised was different we got
aparagus instead not cooked well
Awesome as usual. Was and remains one of my top 20 picks of restaurants in all of AZ.
The most horrible meal we have had since living here for twenty years. We tried it due to Arizona Restaurant Week. We eat out a few times a week and this was a very bad experience. The steak was fatty and I would not even consider it a choice piece of meat. One half of the steak you could not even eat and the rest was tuff. The vegies were not cooked because they were raw. You could not cut them it with a knife. Ok the deserts were very good!! We will never go back shame on them.
Good variety in restaurant week menu. Food nicely prepared. Server a bit awkward on some things but got help. Covid protocols ok -have seen some that are better.
We chose the 3 course meal which included bacon wrapped filet(very tough), brocolini(stringy and flavorless) with mashed potatoes (one spoonful) . Turned out to not be a good value or experience.
It was very nice, excellent food and service
Roaring fork was delicious! Our server, Seven was awesome and the food was out of the world!
This place is phenomenal. The Fried Chicken dinner is amazing, the cocktails were fantastic but best of all was the service. Matt is personable and on top of everything. We truly enjoyed our experience and we will be back!
P.S. Get the pecan pie!
This is one of our faves and did not disappoint!
We always enjoy Roaring Fork. Everyone enjoyed their food, cocktails and wine. The servers were all very nice but maybe too busy so not quite up to their usual responsiveness. We will be going back.
The food was very good and Service was awesome. We will back again.
The food and drinks were amazing and the services was attentive and helpful! Will be going back!
We had a reservation and had asked for outdoor seating. We were seated by the employee parking lot in the back next to a huge ugly curtain. As soon as we were seated we were told the kitchen closed in 30 minutes and we needed to get our order in which immediately made us felt rushed and not welcome. Even though apparently the restaurant was closing soon and we had a reservation our waiter was less than attentive. We waited and waited for him to come and take our checks so long that the manager finally came and asked to take them. The food was ok but we won’t be back.
All around great experience eating in their covered patio. So perfect for COVID -19 dining.
my wife's favorite - green chile pork - outstanding
We always have a wonderful experience at Roaring Fork, and even with the pandemic, this was no exception. They have taken every precaution to give a safe dining experience without sacrificing the quality that they’re known for. Well done, Roaring Fork, we cant wait to come back again soon!!
As always, Roaring Fork lived up to its reputation. The food was delicious, service flawless, and your special Labor Day pricing most generous!!
It's always difficult to select an entree, but the filet mignon won out and did not fail the test...perfectly cooked as ordered and superb. Diet forgotten...pecan pie satisfied that yen after giving up dessert for weeks!! Well worth it.
The bonus was there was enough salad and steak for my dinner at home the next night. Many thanks!
Roaring Fork always has great food and even better service! My Scottsdale fav !
Brian was our server excellent job Refilled our drinks as needed..General manager Matt was very cordial and welcoming we had a good dining experience
We were seated promptly. The service was great and as expected the food was great.
Food was fantastic. Steve was a great waiter. He was attentive and accommodating. Even with our reservation we were put in the overflow area. Would have liked to have been in the main area—it is a great ambience.
Food was quite good and arrived quickly and had good presentation. Also, the portion sizes were very good. Very substantial meals. The only thing I disliked at this restaurant was the Dark and Stormy cocktail I ordered. I thought it was awful. I didn’t even finish it. Everything else was great.
Great food selection, price and service - over the years this is out special place for any special occasions.
great food and good ambience...service slow considering the number of people there
Great place for a special occasion, food was excellent and desert (crème brulee) was devine.
The restaurant was very peaceful. Great place for a date night. Expect to pay at least 40 bucks a person, unless you are getting something very basic, however the food is worth the value. The service was outstanding and the waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu.
Negatives: I really didn’t have any. The menu wasn’t big but if offered a variety of food any one with a particular diet could enjoy.
Highly recommend. Dress nice but nothing to fancy
Bartenders were the worst. Ask him to change the channel from a gold replay to nba playoffs and he was so rude. Not a friendly staff at all. Food was okay but wouldn’t recommend this place.
