Great place for dinner and drinks
Great last minute pick . We had a few issues but they were quick to resolve and super friendly ! Food was really good . Thanks !
This is one of our go to places in Scottsdale for dinner. Great atmosphere, friendly wait staff and the food is awesome. We visited to celebrate a birthday but also for restaurant week. Everything was great. We tried the Delmonico steak, the braised ribs and the sea bass. The food is on point, well prepared and presented. The meals came with a dessert of creme brulee or pecan pie. From start to finish everything was quality. We also tried the chorizo and muscles. My compliments to the chef! Needless to say we will continue to dine here. Worth the visit.
I came here for restaurant week. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for what I ordered my steak medium rare. When I got it it had a charcoal crusted top. My steak had no flavor. I wasn't impressed with my Cesar salad. I did however enjoy my tiny amount of mashed potatoes and asparagus. My pecan pie and ice cream were very good too. I won't be returning.
Not my first visit, so we were excited to revisit. This time it seemed to have missed the mark on almost all points. Service was really poor, trying to find our server several times for top ups on water, lemonade, a steak knife, butter - it became the joke of the table by the end of the evening. It seemed extra noisy and with the tables around us all the way around it felt like they’d added another table to the room, the back of our chairs touched the ones behind ours, it felt that we were in a diner but at much higher prices. The food was nice, but I had the duck and the plate was incredibly hot and the skin on the duck was softy, we think it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while waiting for the fish dishes to be cooked.
Sadly not a good experience, not a place we will be running back to any time soon.
Great evening for restaurant week! Will be back! Dessert to die for. Pecan pie was wonderful. My steak was perfect and couldn’t finish all so thanks for leftovers!
They work amazing with people with food allergies. Only issue we had was how they cooked their steaks. My husband ordered his med rare. His friend med. my husbands was rare. His friends raw (it went back twice). By the time is was cooked right it was not very good. As my husband got into his it got more raw. Took it home cook d it in a skillywith butter and it was perfect. Still tender and tasted great.
Both happy hour bar and menu along with formal dinning is outstanding. For the quality of food, service and portions, prices are right on spot.
As always my meal was perfect. We always get the best service and the steaks are melt in your mouth. Everything I’ve ordered so far has been packed with flavor. I highly recommend!
Great food and service! We have visited many times through out the years and are never disappointed
The food was very good and our waitress was very attentive to our needs.
Service was average at best. Food average at best some meals being good other not so. The fried chicken breast was awful. Cheap leathery chicken nicely battered and fried. Cold “warm pecan pie” and hard as a rock. Very disappointed. Quality of chicken needs to improve before we will come
We came for a family dinner with 6 adults and Roo was our server. We had the pork appetizer with tortillas and fresh guac. The fried chicken entree was excellent as well a the regular and huckleberry margaritas. The service, food and drinks were excellent.
Roaring Fork has a great menu with authentic southwest inspired cuisine. Their bread basket was delightful with mini rolls and jalapeño cornbread muffins. The pork chili appetizer is delicious.
All portions are very large so you can certainly share! My son had the rainbow trout, which was Darrell’s (servers) recommendation. My husband had the pork wrapped pork tenderloin which was delicious.
The chips and guacamole was yummy as well. It has a rustic, warm atmosphere. Overall a great choice!
Service started off good but then our server disappeared when time for the check. Maybe it was time for family meal. 20 mins later we finally were about to get our check
Attentive service. Wonderful trout. Reasonable pricing.
Wonderful, as always... although the salads were drenched with dressing... unfortunate but not an establishment that wins because of their salads.
The evening started off with a glass of Champaign and two glasses of sparkling water. Matt our waiter was busy, while still attentive.
We shared the mixed green salad. It was fresh but a bit bland. It only had a few walnuts and maybe two cranberries.
My girl had the muscles which were in a nice tomato sauce and were quite fresh. The duck was also prepared well at med-rare. Throughout the night the service was good.
The nice ending to the being was the warm pecan pie. The slide of pie was very deep and despite not being hat hungry we both ending up eating it all. Plus, it balanced out the taste of the nuts with a subtle sweetness.
Overall, the evening was relaxing and as always we enjoy eating here when we’re in town. It’s a great staple that has great food.
Also, while leaving 2-3 staff said “have a great night” which always adds a nice positive touch to an evening.
We always enjoy Roaring Fork! The food is consistently good and we love the atmosphere!
The food was average but the staff is awesome. The corn was delicious
We hadn’t been to Roaring Fork for quite a while and were quickly reminded of how much we like it. The food is consistently very good, the service if set at a liesurely pace, and the wine list is quite good. If you’re in a hurry or time limited. Be sure to mention this to your server as it is generally relaxed. Highly recommend the Roaring Fork for any occasion!
The food is a bit over-priced but always good. Because it is located in Scottsdale, I understand the prices. I was there on a Sunday night and it was still very busy, making the noise level higher. The entrees are wonderful, but the included sides could be enhanced a bit more
We enjoyed our meals but the was some confusion with Open Table reservations. You cannot make Open Table reservations for seating at tables or booths at the bar!
Menu options were great, food was prepared as ordered...this was one of the best meals I have had, period.
We used to love Roaring Fork, but we haven't been in two years. This trip, the food was mediocre. My salad contained two very long hairs in it as well as a piece of cellophane plastic. The mashed potatoes served with the fried chicken had a very odd musty flavor which I would describe as the smell of wet wool socks. It was so overwhelming to me, I could not enjoy the chicken. The spit roasted chicken was tasty, but honestly, a roasted chicken from Costco tastes better. It may have just been an off night, as we have had great past experiences, but our Saturday night dinner left us feeling like RF is a thing of our past.
One of our go to restaurants. Never disappoints. Good food, service and atmosphere.
Good food. Have to have a selective pallet. It seems to be A culture of combinations . They seem to be from Southern, some Mexican, and some French American teams with all the food. Again, good food. Was worth trying.
Excellent food, excellent service
Always a great time at Roaring Fork. Consistently excellent food and service and a great atmosphere.
Excellent!!! The food and service is wonderful. I love this place!!!
This was a great night out. Ambience Was really nice and the food and staff was excellent.
The service was very good, the food was great, and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere.
Love the appetizers and the huckleberry margarita! I will opt for hamburger next time instead of a fish entrée. The hamburgers were amazing
Great time as always at Roaring Fork. It is nice to have a menu that has affordable options as well as some high end choices. Service was superb, and it was the perfect spot for a 4-person birthday celebration!
Amy Y was our waitress. Awesome. Professional. Outstanding. She made our dining experience memorable! Food and wine were wonderful but Amy made our birthday celebration a most incredible experience!
We were there for our anniversary. Our server was amazing. The only thing I would do differently next time is call for reservations the day before. All reservations until 8:00 were already taken.
We were visiting the Phoenix area and decided to try this place after reading online reviews. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, we had a reservation and were seated immediately. The menu had a huge drink list, but we did not order alcoholic drinks that night. Our waters were poured immediately by the busser. The waiter was very nice, and helpful, he suggested the ribeye dinner special. They had a special with a salad, ribeye steak and dessert( approx. $55) I did not care for the dressing on the Caesar salad, the ribeye steak was very fatty and chewy. I also thought it was a bit over priced for what we got. I would normally get the filet, but I went with the waiters suggestion.
My wife ordered the sea bass special ( also included salad and dessert) the fish tasted slightly fishy, she didn’t even finish eating the entire piece. I would not recommend the fish at all. The pecan pie dessert was fine, but definitely tasted like a packaged pie.
They do have a kids menu, but you have to ask the waiter, kids options are not printed on the regular menu.
Never disappoints. Excellent service. Excellent food. Great atmosphere.
Great food and friendly and professional staff. Always a great experience!
