Roaring Fork - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
We always enjoy the food at Roaring Fork But their seating for two people could be improved. They first tried to seat us in a small booth right next to the kitchen which was noisy and not attractive. When we asked To move , they set a sat us at another very small two top table. Which was very close to a large table and right in the middle of the room. I could hear every word the table next to us were saying.Hostess was also not very nice about having to find us another table. This did not make for a very cozy dinner for two. Not sure I would return for a date night again.
Excellent service by Tonya. Very attentive and interactive. All servers professional and animated. More than “task oriented” so more personal. Wish a manager had come by to check on our experience- would have heard rave review esp about Tonya. Thank you for making our special occasion special!!
We were seated on patio in a very dark corner by the curtains. The road noise was terrible. The service was extremely slow from drinks (only one in our party had a drink) to the food. Salads were very slow to come out and main course ' even slower. We had no appetizers and only one person had a drink and we were served our food one hour after we sat down. Way too long for a quick dinner. Bread plates were removed from the table although we had just been served a plate of bread. Table was set incorrectly...napkin, glass, silverware. All in all a bad night with friends from out of town. (kettle of pork chili was fatty and very little chili; mostly fatty pork and water)
Jason the waiter he was very nice and helpful I specially liked that the food was pleasantly prepared in a timely manner we did not waited too long (came from Prescott) so we had a long drive but it was worth the drive Thank you
my friend just love her fish meal!!!!*She will be back as well
The food here is very good. This was my 3rd trip to Roaring Fork. Inside is nice if you can get lucky enough to get an inside seat. The men restroom is shared with the building and is a hike. Outside dinning is ok. My wife was cold the whole time, creme brulee is really good here. I would go more often in they would move to a bigger location.
We visited on Valentines Day so of course was very busy. The food and service were outstanding even considering the fact they were packed. The only negative was that they were seating people in a covered and enclosed outdoor area and there was a lot of very noisy car traffic from time to time. Also our table was very dark and near the door so the ambiance was not quite what we would have liked but we will definitely visit again at a less busy time. Everything including the bread and drinks were delicious.
Three of the four dinners were great. The pork loin dinner was not cooked adequately and the rest of the plate was cold. We had a reservation and for the second time we were seated next to a door, we asked if we could get another table and we were accommodated. Overall a good experience.
This was our first visit to the Roaring Fork and it did not disappoint. Our table had a variety of chicken, salmon and pork chops and all was amazing. Our server was excellent and the bartender was very friendly while we waited for our table. Definitely will go back.
We ordered a Caesar salad to share. We have dined at Roaring Fork many times. We have a loyalty card. This is the first time this salad came with an anchovy on it. The two bites I took of the salad were very fishy. We asked for a house salad with romaine. Waiter said no problem. Our friends finished their salads. Our new salads did not come. We told waiter to cancel our salads because we didn’t want our friends to wait for us before getting their entrees. The entrees didn’t come for quite awhile. That’s not the service we are used to. We were disappointed.
What a great dinner spot! We had a quiet table on the patio near the fireplace. Our server was friendly and efficient without being intrusive. We both enjoyed the dinner special of salad, filet and dessert. When the steak arrived the server asked us to confirm its proper preparation. My steak was undercooked and they whisked it back to the grill for quick remedy. I truly enjoyed the evening, and would highly recommend a visit.
The food was excellent, as always. However, the 4 of us were shocked to be seated at a booth that had cracked, peeling seats on both sides--enough so that it was rough as sandpaper. I pointed it out to the person seating us that I didn't want to sit on it, for fear that it would snag my slacks & long top. Even though there were empty tables elsewhere, she did not offer us another table. The far end of the seat was OK, so I held myself up to get down to the uncracked part. When we go to a nice restaurant, we do not expect to be afraid to sit on the seats for fear of ruining our clothes. :(
Entrees were not cooked enough - they were raw. They took them back to the kitchen. They did not replace them - they simply re-cooked them. When they came back out, all of the accompanying items were cold. Managers talked to us with “attitude” when we wanted compensation for the mistake.
We arrived about 45 minutes before our reservation and were worked in within 10 minutes on a very busy night. The Salmon and Duck Breast were excellent! Only problem was finding the restaurant. GPS sent us in the wrong direction when we were within a block or the Roaring Fork. We will be back. I’m anxious to try their NYStrip.
